N100 Light Curing Nano-Ionomer Restorative.

For patient situations where both uoride release and aesthetics are important, you can feel condent using Ketac N100 restorative. In a
clinical evaluation, over 60 % of the dentists who used Ketac N100 in their practice rated the nal overall aesthetics the same or better
than their current composite restorative material
Excellent aesthetics: Inspired by the success of Filtek Supreme XT Universal Restorative, shades of Ketac N100 restorative were
developed to match the shade targets of Filtek Supreme XT restorative.
Superb polish: In-vitro testing results show Ketac N100 restorative has higher initial polish than other glass ionomer materials.
AFMs prove Ketac N100 restorative surfaces
remain smooth.
High initial gloss and a smooth surface contribute to improved aesthetics of restora-
tions and impact patient comfort and satisfaction with their clinical work. The
study below uses images taken under an Atomic Force Microscope (AFMs) to prove
the smooth surface of Ketac N100 restorative and a composite material after being
polished with a diamond-impregnated polishing system whereas the surfaces of
two competitive resin-modied glass ionomers showed surface imperfections.
Ketac N100 restorative performs well with high wear resistance.
Restorations made with Ketac N100 Light Curing Nano-Ionomer Restorative not
only look great, but they have proven to perform well in abrasive environments, too.
When tested against competitive resin-modified glass ionomers, Ketac N100
restorative shows a higher wear resistance, making them an ideal glass ionomer
solution in posterior applications.

High fluoride release.
Ketac N100 restorative shows high fluoride release
that is rechargeable after being exposed to a topical
fluoride source. Additionally, in-vitro tests showed
Ketac N100 restoratives ability to create a caries
inhibition zone after acid exposure.
Nanotechnology is the difference.
Ketac N100 Light Curing Nano-Ionomer Restorative
is the first paste/paste, resin-modified glass ionomer
material developed with nanotechnology.
Because it adds benefits not usually associated
with glass ionomers, it has resulted in a whole NEW
category of glass ionomer restorative: the nano-
ionomer.The technology of Ketac N100 restorative
represents a blend of fluoraluminosilicate (FAS)
technology and nanotechnology originally developed
for Filtek Supreme Universal Restorative.
This combination offers unique characteristics of wear
and polish. Filler particle size can influence strength,
optical properties and abrasion resistance.
By using nano-sized fillers and nanoclusters, along
with FAS glass, Ketac N100 restorative provides
enhanced esthetics as well as the benefits of glass
ionomer chemistry, such as fluoride release.

Nano-Ionomer Restorative showed higher gloss
and smoother surfaces than two competitive resin
modified glass ionomer restoratives materials.

The gloss reflectance or polish showed Ketac N100 Light
Curing Nano-Ionomer Restorative having superb polish
compared to Fuji II LC and Fuji Filling LC. Results illustrate
improved esthetics and reduced surface roughness.
