Activities
Carnival
The Carnival opens on Thursday night at around 6 p.m. with “Buddy Night.” Your child and their buddy can ride all of the rides for $10 each.
Thursday Night is Buddy Night: Buy 2 armbands for $20 Prices for Fri-Sun: Armbands $15 Tickets $1 for 1 or Value Pack 24 for $20 Thursday night they usually start around 6PM, depends on the weather Friday 1PM-10PM Saturday 9AM-thru the evening Sunday 10AM - after the parade

Village Wide Garage Sales
Shepherd Maple Syrup Festival is a big week for garage sales in the Village of Shepherd. Whether you take your kids garage saling in between events, or make an afternoon out of it can be fun to browse at the different sales just to see what people have to offer. Your kids will also have fun getting one or two. Cost: Free (Unless you buy something) For more information: SMSF Village Wide Garage Sales Group

Pony Rides
Stop by the Pony Rides tent during the Festival.

Pancake and Sausage Meals
Stop by the high school between Friday and Sunday for a Pancake meal featuring Shepherd’s very own maple syrup. Cost: Adults - $7 Children 5-12: $3 Under 5: Free

Shepherd Maple Syrup Festival
Events
Thursday Bonfire - Burning of the Boog
On Thursday, residents will gather at the north end of Shepherd for a bonfire and “burning of the boog.” The bonfire will start after dusk. Cost: Free

Friday
Queen’s Pageant
Take your children to see the Shepherd Maple Syrup Festival Queen be crowned during the pageant at 2 p.m. Cost: Donations For more information: https://www.facebook.com/events/229399630494817/?context=create Friday
Emergency Vehicle Parade

CRDL Maple Story Storytelling
From the CRDL’s website:
Hear fascinating facts and stories about maple syrup. See just how sweet the situation gets, then find out first-hand how Shepherd became known as the sweetest little town anywhere around. Join us for CRDL Maple Syrup Storytelling at your Coe Township Library. Saturday, April 28th at 11am at your Coe Township Library in Shepherd.

Shepherd Maple Syrup Festival Parade

Train Depot
Even though the train rides have been cancelled, there will still be plenty to see and do at the Train Depot museum. During the festival, the caboose and other train cars are typically opened up for tours, plus you can view the exhibits inside the museum. Little Red Schoolhouse
