On
the auspicious and spiritual occasion of Ramnavami, we greet all the countrymen. Also, we bless all the responsible and aware Indians, for the defeat of a political group, which is an epitome of corruption and black money. People remember a super human for high moral character, great ideals and even greater deeds. And, people take pride in following him; Lord Ram's life is not only an ideal one for Indians but also for the whole humanity. Supreme among humans, Lord Ram fulfilled his individual, social, familial and national duties and left an example for an ideal life. All of us Indians take pride in calling ourselves the progenies of Lord Ram and Yogi Krishna. And this is historical and scientific fact that we run the lineage of Rishis. Come, on the occasion of Ramnavmi, lets take a vow to lead a dignified life, full of sacrifices and hard work. There are two ideals of the life of the Lord Ram. One is that of taking father's instruction as the supreme will; renouncing the throne and leading a life of an ascetic for 14 years. Secondly, remaining an ascetic and despite leading a life full of scarcity, killing Ravan, who was an epitome of evil, injustice, Adharma and corruption. We have entered the Kaliyuga from Satayuga; times might have changed but situations are same; even today evil, adharma, injustice, exploitation, poverty and demonic forces are rising. Ravan, the epitome of evil is still alive. Our countrymen have little resources and we are struggling. They are even worse than Ravan as evil and corrupt. These modern Ravans have deposited India's resources and wealth in the form of money in foreign countries. These are even greater Ravans, who have deposited money overseas. Every Indian, like Lord Ram, must come forward to perform his or her duty to the country. And the way Lord Ram killed Ravan, we should also destroy this evil, which is spread in the form of black money, corruption and corrupt administration. Noble people have termed this year 2012 as the year of major changes and a change-over of an era. By keeping the Yoga, Swadeshi and Ayurveda as the base and supporting the Bharat Swabhiman movement, come forward to participate in divine mission to build human character and in building the nation. 1. Not for a moment our mind should drown into despair, doubt, illusion and negativity. For this, lead a life keeping the God, parents and pupil-teacher tradition at the centre. 2. It's demeaning to lead a life with minor objectives. So be determined to live for a higher purpose, for God and for nation building. 3. Never undermine the inspiration and message kindling in your heart. 4. Live as if every day as it is equivalent to this life and live every day as it's a new life. 5. Always endevour to rise higher in higher ideals like humanity, godliness, supreme human being and consciousness. Never spend a moment in lower consciousness and always live in higher consciousness. 6. May all attain the bliss of Samadhi or a life filled with higher consciousness by getting rid of one's weaknesses and defilements through the practice of Yoga and reciting Omkar.

200 million people do not get their surgeries done world over. A study conducted by researcher Luke Funk of Harvard School of Health Department says, "Our results reveal that number of operation theaters is ten times higher in high-earning areas, over the low-earning areas." Statistics reveal that every year some 23.4 crore surgeries are performed, and out of people availing these services, 75 percent are those, who constitute one-third population of rich people. And only 4 percent of the poor people, who constitute one third of poor, availed these services.

he results show that there are at least 14 operation theatres per one lakh people in highearning areas. On the other hand, in low-earning areas, there are even less than 2 operation theatres per one lakh people, though these people have higher incidences of diseases, where such surgeries are essential. Funk and his associate researcher Atul Gavande collected this data from 769 hospitals from 92 countries. These researchers have participated in World Health Organisation's (WHO) 'Safe Surgery Safe Lives' program. WHO's objective with this program is to cut the number of lives lost in surgeries. WHO also directed India to spend more on medical services on its citizens, otherwise poor people will bury under the burden of diseases. WHO's report reveals that only $ 32 are spent on every Indian, which are grossly inappropriate. In India average lifespan was 65 in the year 2009 which was only 61 in the year 2000. World data reveals that average age in 2009 was 68 years, which was only 64 years in 1990. Compared to India and other poor nations, average spending on health in developed countries is $ 4,590. According to a report, rich countries have 10 times more doctors, 12 times more nurses and mid-wives and 30 times more dentists, compared with poor countries. India is under a tremendous grip of diseases because of inappropriate spending on medical services. Because of this only, diseases are directly affecting the poor; on the other hand, due to rising urbanization, people residing in these areas are also getting severely affected. Colin Mathers of WHO says that India is struggling with high mortality rate among pregnant women and

children, contiguous diseases spreading among the poor and several diseases spread among higher middle-class population. He said that despite disparity in income and rising contiguous diseases, people in India are affected by general health issues. On the other hand, in the past ten year in China, average age has risen to 74. China has also hiked its spending in health. According to a report, in India there is high rate of mortality of new mothers and children. Contiguous diseases are rising among the poor, while incidences of heart ailments, Stroke, Diabetes and Cancer are rising among middle-class people. In the medical field, welfare of the diseased must be supreme. Traditional medical treatments like Yoga-Aurveda-naturopathy, Unani, Acupunture, Homoeopathy and others are simple, scientific and proven techniques. A patient does not have to go through any side-effects if treated with these techniques. Yoga and Ayurveda are systematic treatments. This is the major difference between the ancient and modern medicine techniques. A patient should be given the option of being treated with various techniques so that he or she can choose the best way to get the treatment. Cheaper medicines save a lot of money to a patient and also, it saves the country money to be spent on medical bills. Indian government does not spend appropriate money on health services. Ayurveda and other ancient medical treatments should be promoted by the government so that poor people can avail cheap medical services.

Gandhi derived the word. Satyagraha meant non-violent protest. The power of the word lies in truth and power in struggle. An activist may suffer adverse effects of his work. He should be prepared to face the consequences of his struggle. Supreme Court has agreed that peaceful demonstration is a constitutional right.

The court said `Freedom of expression, gathering for justified right and staging sit-in-stir are the basic rights in democratic system. The people in a democratic nation like India have the right to raise voice against the decisions and activities of the Government and express their anger against any wrong decisions on social or national issue. The Government shall respect such rights and in fact, encourage them. It is the moral duty of the Government to help in executing freedom of expression and not exercise its executive or legal powers to suppress or put binding on it. Peaceful demonstration and gathering are an integral part of freedom of expression and this right is being exercised by the people is the responsibility of the Government. The recent incidents prove otherwise. Political establishments promote use of Police to weaken or crush such agitations. Team Anna faced many problems in getting a venue allotted in the heart of the city. Administration also tries to minimize the size of the agitation and use Police powers to ensure it. Though, Ramlila ground and other such big grounds are available in the middle of the city but Police discourages to choose them as agitation venue. The Supreme Court has taken cognizance of it. After reading the Supreme Court judgment, it is clear that Baba Ramdev and his supporters agitation was peaceful. The Supreme Court observed `There was no chaos and Baba Ramdev supporters were peacefully standing in a queue, which was around 2 kms in length. If the Police wanted to restrict the number of activists upto 5,000, it could have stopped them easily at the entrance. But no such effort was made. The behavior of the Police proves that the action was taken under Governments direction and their present stand regarding the number of gathering is an afterthought. While describing the

activities of the protesters, the Court observed `undoubtedly, none of the condition was violated and hence, no reason could be sighted to withdraw the granted permission by the Police officers. Even if it is accepted that seeking Polices permission is mandatory and the Police have all rights to deny it, then also such right had to be exercised according to the law and the respondent (read Swami Ramdev) and other peoples have every right to get adequate notice, before forcibly evicting the gathering. Under the light of faces in the present incident, no permission could have been granted under Section 144 of CrPC. It was a well-planned step in advance, with the objective to stop Baba Ramdev continuing his agitation. The available evidences are sufficient to prove that the Policemen overstepped their powers and used brutal force and violence unnecessarily. Though, a few of the Policemen were talking with the people gathered there, who were responding politely. After the final verdict of the court, it is clear what actually happened on the mid-night of June 4-5, 2011. When Baba Ramdev and his supporters were peacefully demonstrating for their constitutional rights, Section 144 was clamped illegally. The protesters were following each and every condition, imposed on them. The Police was controlling entry of the people but suddenly, the Police decided to displace people forcibly. The Supreme Court observed `The decision to forcibly evict peaceful people, who were sleeping on the midnight of 4 and 5 June 2011, whether taken independently or on the advise of the Home department, was totally unwarranted and shows despotism and misuse of power. The barrier on freedom of expression, under the given set of facts, could not be justified. It is an assault on

A little protest, civil disobedience and agitation are the well known means and within the ambit of the constitution, which are peaceful and non-violent.

the legal protection provided to the people in Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC). All restrictions were unnecessary and unjustifiable. The act displays the might of the Government and an attack on the democratic value described in our constitution. The facts and circumstances placed before the court clearly show that there was no emergency. Furthermore, if the Police wanted to remove the gathering, it should have given proper notice. In contract, excess manpower was used. The Police also used water canon, lobbed teargas shells and even canecharged resulting into grievous injuries to many people and ultimately killing a woman. The courts observation has further safeguarded the constitutional rights of the people. It would help in strengthening democracy and use of right of peaceful protest in the political system. The courts observation has secured the right to peaceful protest laws of the land. It also suggested that democracy and protest are co-existent. All credit goes to the court. But later, the decision takes more turns. It says that the demonstrators had the responsibility to follow each legal order issued that time. Undoubtedly, when clamping of Section 144, or withdrawal of the permission or forcibly evicting people were legally not

possible, how demonstrators could accept them? How the principle of `joint carelessness` could be effective on the people, who were peacefully sitting and exercising their fundamental right. The principle of joint carelessness is the deformation of the law. It can not be used to belittle the limits of the fundamental rights and to limit exercising its power. Joint responsibility is a defensive step, which a person, who is wrong use, utmost alertness so that he could be saved from being injured. To use this term to limit fundamental rights is totally unwarranted and illegal. India achieved freedom with peaceful means. A little protest, civil disobedience and demonstrations are the well-known routes for protest. Only peaceful and non-violent means are displayed in most of the demonstrations. `Satyagraha` is a weapon which is used to mount pressure on the Government, using the might of truth. An activist faces punishment, opposing a suppressing Government. Comparing the rights of agitation with `joint carelessness` has somehow, lessen the benefit of the historical judgment. When a person is demonstrating within the constitutional rights, he has every right to defy the illegal law, curbing his right. If an order is passed legally, the violator always has the risk of facing punishment. A citizen is not bound to relinquish its moral right because the Government has put a curb on it. Thus, the Supreme Court judgment has established a historical precedent and justified the right to peaceful demonstration and freedom of expression. But one sentence that `when the demonstration was put on hold, the activists should have abided by it and would now be considered as responsible in `joint carelessness` has destabilize the basic concept of the fundamental rights. This part of the judgment needs an elaborated debate, discussion and probably re-thinking.

But the money which is to be given by the government has actually been collected from us. It would have been better if the court had asked the political bosses of Delhi police to pay the compensation form their own pockets. Essentially they had actually asked the police for the brutal crackdown on June 4 last year. The court has also asked Swami Ramdev to pay the rest of the 25 percent of the compensation. This decision of the court is like asking a thief to pay 75 percent and a car owner the rest of 25 percent of the compensation for a stolen car. It is strange to hold the car owner responsible for the theft because he didnt locked his car properly. Its really a strange piece of justice. The courts ruling reflects that India is not a democratic country but it is being run as a police state. It also reflects that the countys Prime Minister, Home Minister and other ministers have no authority over the functioning of the police and the decisions to tackle a serious issue are solely taken by the police. If the court wants to restore its good image among people, it needs to review its decision. Is it possible for a disciple to seek compensation from his or her spiritual mentor? And if it is to be paid, then will he or she accept it? The straightforward statement of Rajbalas husband actually revealed the lacuna associated with the decision. Therefore, it is really a very strange decision.

ebruary 24, 2012: The Supreme Courts decision on the brutality of the Delhi Police at Ramlila Ground on June 4, 2011 is very confusing in itself. First of all, the Apex Court deserves praises for taking cognizance of the incident and starting proceedings to ensure punishment for those who are responsible for the brutality. But the question remains, what the outcome is even after six months of the proceedings? The court observed that the Delhi Police were solely responsible for the brutality on the peaceful protesters. Is the court unaware of the fact that the Delhi police comes under the Union Home Ministry? Was the fast held at the Ramlila Ground a case of simple robbery which was to be solely tackled by the Delhi Police? The issue which prompted the four Union Ministers to rush to the Delhi Airport was not a case to be solely handled by the Delhi Police at a later stage. It is really surprising that the court held the police responsible for the brutality but didnt say even a single word against their political bosses who instructed the police to crackdown on the peaceful protesters. If the court had sought reply from those who allowed the police to commit the brutality, then its decision would definitely have induced a sense of confidence among the people. It is a welcome decision of the court that it directed the government to pay compensation to the kin

absorbing the positive elements of the science, the Yoga and Spiritualism are capable in transforming the negative elements of human characters like greed, anger, lechery, illusion and ego into the virtuous elements like nonviolence, truth, Astey and Brahmcharya. The virtuous elements are capable in promoting justice and fraternity in a family, village, region, and nation.

Who else other than such a great soul can strive for such a great effort? This is the reason why the views and efforts of Swamiji since such a long span of time, didnt hurt the sentiment of any individual in the country. Clarity of Swamijis views based on truth actually established him in the society as an icon. Now in the changed scenario, the country and the society is buzzed with the talks of great change and revolution. The people of the country who have seen the drama played by our politician during last 64 years are now trying to infer that whether the character of democratic set up in the country is worse than the monarchy. People have realized it that the nation doesnt lack the strong organizations and the leadership qualities. It is realizing the magnificent and auspicious face of Mother India and her great children. If someone is incapable in realizing these developments, then he or she must have resolved to see India in this pathetic condition. Such people are traitors of the nation. Such people are actually responsible for this appalling condition of the people of India. The movement which has continued for the past twenty years is in fact based on nonviolence, peace and canons of the constitution.

he amazing power centered in the Muladhar Chakra has been defined as Kundalini Shakti in ancient scriptures and Brahmacharvas in the Vedic literature. Generally the Pranashakti flows through the Ida and Pingla Nadis. When a person properly practices yoga and Pranayama, then the magnificent and amazing power inherent in the dormant Susumna nadi gets stimulated. They power which is getting wasted in the sensual activities begins to move upwards by the means of yoga. Plato and Pythagoras have also beckoned in their texts that there happens to be an amazing power located around the navel which stimulates the activity of the brain leading to intellectual development of the person. It promotes the magnificent power in the human body. Chakra-Shodhan or KundaliniJagran: The power which exists in the universe is also inherent in the body as Yatha Pinde tatha Brahmande. Muladhar Chakra is the main base of the power. When the Muladhar Chakra gets stimulated, Divya Shakti (the magnificent power) flows upwards; this is the Kundilini Jagran. It is like the electricity wire is fixed all around and the bulbs are also installed and they are connected to the main switch. When the main switch is on, then all the devices begin to receive the electric energy leading to spread of light. Similarly, when the magnificent power located in the Muladhar Chakra gets stimulated, all other Chakras also get stimulated. This Kundalini power moves upward, then the Kundalini Shakti arrives. When it

reaches to Sampragyat Samadhi and Sahastrar Chakra, then the stage of Asampragyat Samadhi is attained. At this stage, the magnificent Gyanlok (world of knowledge) also becomes apparent. When the Ritambhara Pragya is attained by a Sadhak, he comes across the absolute truth and finally he gets unlimited joy of his penance. This is the greatest stage of Yoga. After attaining this stage, the sensual habits are also destroyed and a man gets salvation.

Indegeneous fruit is available in sour-sweet taste. Pomegranate that is available in Kabul and Kandhar, sweet. In Kabuli Pomegranates, we find a variety of seed less and juicy and very sweet. Seedless pomegranate is the best of all varieties. In Pomegranate, we use all parts of the plant along the fruit for the medicinal purposes. Bud and peal of Pomegranate are also good enough to utilize as a medicine.

Outer Shape: An attractive shrub or small tree, 10 or 15 ft high, bark, shiny, grey coloured. The leaves are evergreen or deciduous, opposite or in whorls of 5 or 6, shortstemmed, oblong-lanceolate, 2-3 inches long, leathery. Showy flowers are home on the branch tips singly or as many as 5 in a cluster. They are to inch wide and characterized by the thick, tubular. Fleshy, pointed sepals forming a vase from which emerge crinkled, red, white or variegated petals enclosing the numerous stamens. Pour them directly into the nose, or may be sniffed to stop Nose-bleed. 2. Take the rind of Pepomegranate, paste it in date-palm (soaked) water. Apply the paste on bump, and if the powder is sniffed, it is beneficial in Epistaxic. 3. Take 10 grams of leaves of pomegranate and prepare dicoction out of them. Even if the paste is applied, on head, Nose-bleed would be stopped. Toothache 1. Take dry floweres pomegranate and rose, mix and grind them to powder. If it is applied on gums, the flow of water ceases. We may use only pomegranate powder also. It is also helpful in preventing the disease. 2. Make powder out of 8-10 pomegranate leaves. Use it as tooth powder. It checks

the movement of gums, and prevents the flow of blood and pus from gums. . Insomnia Take 20 grams of fresh leaves of pomegranate. Boil them in 400 grams of water. When the decoction becomes one fourth part of it, then add some milk and drink. Thrush (Aphthae) Take 25 grams of leaves of pomegranate. Boil them in 400 grams of water. When the decoction becomes one fourth part of it, then the liquid should be gargled. Thrush would be cured soon. Eye diseases 1. Paste 5-6 leaves of pomegranate in water. Paste should be anointed two times a day. Soak the leaves in water and put them in a cloth, making bundle, move it along on eyes, to avoid pain. 2. Take 8-10 fresth leaves of pomegranate. Use mortar to grind them. When it is dried properly, sieve it. And apply the powder in eyes with a stick in the morning and evening every day. It prevents itching, eye-flow, defects in eye lashes, Trachoma etc. Ear problems Take 100 grams of fresh leaves of pomegranate, 400 grams of cow urine, 100 grams of sesame. Mixing them up and allow the liquid to boil on slow flame. Pour some drops in ears in the morning and evening to avoid pain in ears, dryness, and aural noise. Deafness Take out some juice of the leaves of pomegranate. Add equal quantity of the juice of swaras of the leaves of bael. Add some ghee and purify it. Take 20 grams of ghee (hot) and 250 grams of sugar candy along with milk in the morning and evening. Throat problems 1. Take fresh leaves of pomegranate, add 1 kilogram of sugar candy to prepare syrup.Take the medicine 20-20 grams a day for 2-3 times to get rid of heaviness in voice, cough, influenza and catarrh (common cold). 2. Take some pomeg- ranate leaves, dry them in shade. Prepare fine paste out of them. Prepare tablets by adding honey of jaggery in a plum size. Again allow them to dry in shade. Then keep the tablet in mouth and suck the juice. 3. Take juice out of fresh leaves of pomegranate. 100 grams of paste of the leaves and half kilo mustard oil. If this oil is get purified, it can be applied on head to prevent baldness and hair falling. 4. Massage is advised with pomegranate oil, to eradicate warts, sunspots and black spots. Headache 1. Take half a kilogram of pomegranate leaves that are dried in shade, half a kilogram of dry coriander seeds, mix them well and grind. Add 1 kilo of wheat flour and 2 kilograms of cow ghee and fry all the mix. Allow it to get cool and then add sugar candy. Take 50 grams of the medicine should be taken daily in the morning and evening. 2. Rub the bark of pomegranate and anoint the paste to get rid of headache and migrane. Hysteria 1. Take the eaves of pomegranate and rose flowers 10-10 grams (if fresh ones are not available, use 5 grams of dry leaves), boil them in half a litre water. When the fluid becomes 250 grams, add to it 10 grams of cow ghee. This is a very useful medicine to get rid of hysteria and epilepsy. Give this drug to the patient every morning and evening. 2. Take 20 grams of leaves pomegranate, prepare decoction. Add it 10-10 grams of cow ghee and sugar candy to control hysteria and epilepsy. Tuberculosis 1. Take 200 grams of tasty pomegranate juice, add to it papal, white cumin seeds, dry ginger, cinnamon powder each 40-40 grams,

Constituents
Peal of pomegranate contains 28 percent of Punicotannic acid and Icterine pigment substances are found. Bark and and root bark contain 0.5 to 0.9 percent alkaloids. Pelletierine is the key component of alkaloid. Pure Pelletierine is colorless liquid. This rapidly absorbs oxygen and resinifies. Apart from these ingredients, tannic acid is also available in pomegranate.

200 grams of older jaggery, best quality of saffron 10 grams, and allow it to boil on slow flame. When the fluid gets more and concentric state, allow it to cool and make tablets and add 10 grams of small cardamom seeds powder to it. Prepare 6-6 grams of tablets and take 1-1 tablet in the morning and evening along with goat milk. 2. If the patient experiences much weakness, and is not suffering with diarrhea and cough, then, he may be given fresh pomegranate juice as much as he wants. 3. If the patient suffers with cough then pomegranate extract may be given 2-2 teaspoons a day, three to four times. Wounds on chest Drink 10-20 grams of its leaves decoction 2-3 times a day to get the benefit in chest wounds. Hiccups Prepare fine powder by mixing the ingredients like 20 grams of pomegranate juice in a small Cardamom seeds, Banshlochan, drained Mint, poisoned pawn, verum and 1-1 Grams and has 500 grams of Pippal. Sauce can be made with this fine powder. According to the need take small quantities of sauce. Laxity of Flesh and breast ptosis 1. 1. Take equal quantities of Pomegranate leaves, rind, flowers, raw fruits, fruit and root bark. Grind this mix roughly. Soak them in double quantity of vinegar, and four times of rose water. After four days boil Mustard oil on low heat. When it remains half of its quantity, the decoction should be filtered and preserve it in a bottle. If this

oil is used for massage on breasts, then the laxity of flesh is checked and the wrinkles of the body would disappear. 2. Grind Pomegranate leaves and get 1 kg. Juice and get it boiled after adding half a litre of sweet oil (sesame Oil). When only the oil is left, store it in bottles after filtering. Use this oil for massage 2-3 times a day. 3. Take 1 kg. Pomegranate fruit peel and 4 litres of water. Get that liquid be boiled when it remains 1 litre quantity. Then add to it 250 grams mustard oil, (Badam Rogan is much better), get it purified. The oil should be used for massage for benefit. Bronchitis 1. Dried Pomegranate seeds 100 grams, dry ginger, pepper, Pippal, Cinnamon, cinnamomum, cardamom, each 50-50 grams, and prepare powder mixing it sugar candy. Take this churn along with honey 2times in 2-3 grams quantity. Cough, breathing, Ozaena problems would be cleared. It is stimulant, best digestive medicine, and is tasty. 2. Only peel can also do a great help in preventing cough by sucking it, keeping in mouth. 3. Take Pomegranate rind 40 grams, Pippal and Jawakhar 6-6 grams and 80 grams of jaggery and prepare syrup and add all the fine churns to it. Prepare 500-500 mg. tablets. Daily 2-2 tablets may be taken with hot water. 10 grams of black pepper churn can also be mixed in this syrup for more benefit. Heart problems 1) Take 10 grams of fresh leaves of Pomegranate; grind them in 100 grams of water. This tonic can be

given for the benefits in heart rate after filtering it. 2) 20-25 of Pomegranate syrup can be had everyday. 3) Take 3. 6 grams of Pomegranate leaves dry them in shade, make churn by grinding them. And take that churn with fresh water everyday to control shingles, Psoriasis etc, certain blood disorders, Leprosy, diabetes, heart beat, Cancer, injuries, bilefever, cough Vata Fevers (with hot water). Distaste caused by indigestion 1. Have best cooked pomegranate juice, adding 10 grams of roasted Cumin seeds and jaggery mixed daily 2 to 3 times to get control on indigestion. 2. Take churn that is prepared out of shade dried Pomegranate leaves 4 parts, add to it 1 part of rock salt. Grind both of the ingredients to get fine churn. To get relief from distaste caused by indigestion take 4-4 grams of this churn every morning and evening before having meal with water. 3. Take Pomegranate juice, honey and sesame Oil in equal parts, the total mixture should be of 50 grams. And mix 6 grams of cumin powder and 6 grams Sugar candy powder to it. And keep the churn in mouth. Keep rinsing the churn for a while there. When the eyes and nose start flowing water, rinse it out. And then the same process can be repeted with new juice. Thus eight to ten times a day can be done. In addition to that, this churn is more beneficial to get control over the liver disorders. 4. Holding 1 gram of juice of sour sweet pomegranate in mouth, rince it slowly. Thus, eight or ten times a day to get rid of distaste of mouth. Intestinal disorders would

be corrected; Distaste caused by fever would be set right. 5. Sweet juice of pomegranate mixed with honey should be given to get benefit in distaste. Diarrhea 1. Take 2-3 grams of pomegranate fruit peel powder with fresh water Diarrhea and dysentery in common. 2. Grind fresh buds of pomegranate along with small cardamom seeds and lentisk. Add sugar to the prepared jelly. Children may be given who suffer from chronic diarrhea and motions. 3. Prepare juice out of Pomegranate fruit peel and give the juice in 30-50 grams dosage. If the juice is given adding with sugar, Vomitings caused by pitta, itching and fatigue would be pacified. 4. Pomegranate peel (Take fruit or root bark) powder, add 1 gram of nutmeg powder and saffron churn 250 mg. make a fine churn in mortar and drink adding honey to it. Bloody Dysentery 1. Take Pomegranate fruit peel and bitter Indra jau 20-20 grams, add them in 640 grams of water. Prepare decoction upto it remains a quarter of its original quantity. This tonic can be given 3 times a day. 2. Take 160 grams of pomegranate juice and 80 grams Kudha bark. First paste Kudha bark and boil it by mixing it in 640 grams water. When it remains a quarter of its quantity, then take it off from the flame and filter. Now add 160 grams of pomegranate juice and boil the mix again. When the liquid turns thicker, allow it to cool. If

the medicine is taken 20 g it would be a great benefit in Bloody diarrhea. Worms 1. Make fine paste out of the mix of Pomegranate root bark 50 Grams, 6 grams bastard teak seeds, Vayvidang 10 grams and one and a half litre water. Get it boiled upto half of the liquid is remained on low flame. And allow it to cool and filter. Give this tonic in 50-50 Grams quantity in half-hourly intervals. If uneasiness is felt, then give some castor oil. 2. For the eradication of Tape worms, take 50 grams of root, roughly ground bark, and boil those 2litres of water upto the point, that it remains half of its quantity. This remedy can be taken in 50 grams dosage early in the morning with an empty stomach. It should be taken for 4 times with half an hour interval. Then 1 dosa of castor oil should be taken. For children the 10 grams is the right dosage of decoction. 3. Take 6 grams of shade-dried pomegranate leaves, paste them and filter. Use this with cow buttermilk or fresh water in the morning. All kinds of worms of the stomach would be removed. 4. Take root bark of pomegranate10 grams, Vai Vidang (Embelia Robusta) and roughly ground Indra jau 6-6 grams, prepare decoction and take it for benefit. 5. Take citrus peel of sour Pomegranate and Mulberry each 20-20 gm, boil them in 200 and have it to destroy worms. chlorosis Joundice 1. 250 grams of best variety of pomegranate juice should be mixed with 750 grams of sugar to make sugar syrup.

This drug should be taken 3 to 4 times a day. 2. Take fine churn of shadedried pomegranate leaves 6 grams in the morning with cow buttermilk and in the evening with paneer of buttermilk. Piles 1. Peel of sweet fruit of saturate natured and citrus fruit peel surly quality. Hence they are highly useful for Piles. 2. In 100 grams of pomegranate root decoction, mix 5 grams of dry ginger powder. Take it two or three times a day which is advantageous in piles. 3. Drink 5-10 ml of Juice of Pomegranate leaves every morning and evening to get rid of Piles. 4. Make paste 8-10 Pomegranate leaves. Prepare tablets and roast them in ghee. It is beneficial in eradicating in Warts when it tied on warts of piles. Bloody vomitings Take Pomegranate leaves juice of 5-10 ml quantity twice a day to treat blood Vomitings, diarrhea, blood discharge, Somrog, epilepsy and sun stroke. Vomitings Give lukewarm juice of Pomegranate of 10 ml quanity, adding 5 grams sugar, to control vomiting. Chelora 1. Take 6 grams of pomegranate green leaves. Grind them in 20 grams of water, filter it. Add 20 grams sugar or syrup in the intervals of 1-1 hour, upto the point of recovery. It cures vomitings also. 2. Citrus Pomegranate juice 10-15 ml can be taken regularly, which is efficient in rooting out cholera.

Darpnashak
Sweet Pomegranatedry ginger Jam, sour pomegranate- dry ginger jam, and (Pomegranate seeds its Drpnashk cumin seeds and representative of Gonorrhea).

Anus dislocation and Uterus dislocation 1. Take 250 grams of fresh pomegranate leaves, add 1 letre of water and boil it. When the liquid remains half of its quantity, then take it off from the flam and filter it. Clean with this medicated water 2-3 times a day at the anus part. It is highly beneficial in this disease. 2. When the uterus come out of its place, this experiment is highly useful. Take some pomegranate leaves that are dried in the shade. Get churn out of them. Take this churn 6-6 grams in the morning and evening along with fresh water. Retntion of Urine 1. Mix well Pomegranate juice and small cardamom seeds and dry ginger churn. Have this remedy to cure the problem. 2. Add 10 grams of pomegranate leaves to green thistle 10 grams. Paste both the ingredients in 3 ounces of water, filter it, and have it for benefit. Abortion 1. Take 20 grams of fresh pomegranate leaves and grind them in 100 grams of water and filter it. And this

drug is given to drink.. Paste the leaves and apply on the abdomen to avoid the threat of abortion or miscarriage. It is very useful treatment. 2. Take one or two fresh buds of pomegranate, past them with water and drink which enhances the chances of gestation. Leucorrhoea disease would also be eradicated. 3. If the pregnant woman has heart weakness, give her sweet pomegranate seeds. 4. If the pregnancy in the 5 th or sixth month seems unstable, give juice of fresh pomegranate leaves grinding them. Add some sandalwood paste, yogurt and honey. It is highly beneficial. Puffy Eye See for a fully grown Pomegranate tree. Obtain the bark from that particular tree. Rub it in the juice of its fruit seeds or rub 2 barks of red liquorise in it and apply 3 times a day. Wounds 1. Flower buds that fall by air drafts, should be burnt on fire and apply the ash on wounds to dry them quickly. 2. Take 50grams of pomegranate leaves, add 1 litre of water to it and boil. When it remains quarter of its original quantity, use the decoction as medicine for benefit. 3. 8-10 leaves of Kalk anointment is useful on lesions of syphilis. And also it is recommended to use 10 to 20 grams of churn for orally. 4. If any pain is experienced in nose, ears, take root bark decoction 2-2 drops on particular spot Or else it is also useful if the decoction is squirted. 5. Sprinkle dry churn 5 -10 grams of the root bark of

pomegranate to cure the lesions of syphilis. Inflammation 1. Paste 10-12 fresh leaves of pomegranate and apply it on palm and foot to get ease and comfort from irritation. 2. If this decoction is used for bathing (for the preparation of decoction, use 250 grams of pomegranate leaves and 5 letres of water. When it remains 4 litres of the liquid), irritation of the bile would be soothened. Eryspelas (Ringworm) 8-10 fresh leaves of sweet pomegranate. Should be pasted, add to it a little bit of mustard oil. Massage it and get rid of the scabies disease Typhoid (intestinal fever) 500 mg of leaves Decoction with rock salt is beneficiary in controlling abdominal typhus typhoid Mouth sores (Khunak) 10 grams of pomegranate leaves and 400 grams water should be boiled. When it becomes of a quarter of the origincal decoction, then rinse it keeping in mouth for quite some time. And the decoction is beneficiary in controlling the disease. Rickets in children Children would not show any growth sign when rickets is on attack. Take 20-25 grams of pomegranate buds in Putapaka method, take out the juice. This juice can be taken in a little quantity to control on rickets. Nail Pain Along with pomegranate flowers Myrobalan Khorasari thorn (Fagonia cretica) should be pasted and filled in nails for the benefit in nail pains and rotting nails.

Because if he does not sit like this way, he experiences laziness, sleep and get interrupted. And then he should turn his senses, with the help of the mind, towards the soul and by means of the raft of Brahman (Omkara) cross the fearful torrents of the world. Yujannevam sadatmanam yogi niyatamanasah. Shanti nirvana paramam Matsamsthamadhigacchati. 15 That practitioner of yoga, who concentrates, with a controlled mind (Concentrating on the enlightened vision of Brahman through his inner sense with a stable mind)attains that peace, Which is at the end of salvation, And which is situated in me. Thus, by always practicing to keep the mind fixed on Me, the yogi whose mind is subdued attains peace of Nirvna (Moksha) and comes to Me. And it is not necessary to sit at a place stable and think about that supreme Brahman. A Yoga practitioner can always fulfil the needs of his family and perform all his duties which are due to the society, worshipping the supreme Brahman within.

responsible member of the society. I want to ask a few senseless people who are advising Swamiji to confine his activities to the works which are considered to be the sole duties of a hermit. Do they have any answer to the questions which I have mentioned above? Now some people are raising the questions like besides practicing yoga, pranayama and spiritual activities, why the Babaji is running an university, why he is advising the people like a doctor, why he is speaking over social, political and economic issues, why he has launched a movement against black money and corruption, why is he coming forward to change the present system which is based on corruption, why has he established such a huge network to promote the values of Swadeshi across the country? Some people feel problem in seeing Acharya Balkrishna as a successful manager, an ideal engineer, a farsighted entrepreneur, a serious researcher besides being a Vaidya (a doctor of herbal medicines). Virtually it happens to be almost impossible for an individual to be master in one particular field. We should feel proud of the two great people who have acquired a multifaceted talent and are masters of all fields. With the grace of god, the two great souls have earned a lot of name and fame for the nation across the world. India is being recognized as the country of yoga across the world. Actually Swamiji is the person who is taking forward the work started by our Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. Gandhiji had vowed to promote Swadeshi and Swaraj which is now being implemented by Swamiji Maharaj. Gandhiji would not have imagined that the dirty system framed by our foreign rulers will be forcefully imposed on the people of the country. But seeing the efforts of Swamiji, the soul of Bapu would definitely have been pleased. Swamiji has definitely taken the

But it is unfortunate that the multinational companies made false promising to help them get double productivity of agro products and lured them to use harmful and toxicant chemicals for agricultural purposes. Consuming agro-products which have been produced by using such chemicals can cause the deadly diseases like cancer, tuberculosis, asthma, diabetes and high blood pressure. Today, about five crore Rs is being spent on such harmful chemicals and over Rs 10 crore being spent on the treatment of the diseases caused by the consumption of these agroproducts. Actually the people of the country are being taken on the path of devastation by being fed the food products grown by using harmful chemicals and our farmers are being compelled to commit suicide. We have to protect our nation from the ill effects of the harmful chemicals by promoting Swadeshi methods of agriculture. Swadeshi methods of agriculture will first provide us normal productivity and later will get bumper productivity. It is our target to popularize our age old methods of agriculture to get healthy, harmless and toxicant-free agricultural products in the country. Instead of harmful chemicals and fertilizers, we should promote the use of cow dung based fertilizers and the pesticides made of cow urine to realize the dream of a healthy and prosperous nation. 1. Pure food is the fundamental right of every citizen of a country. 2. As long as our farmers are deprived of the return of their investment in the agricultural activities and are also deprived of electricity, the nation lacks an effective water management policy, the pathetic condition of our farmers and agricultural labourers will not improve. If the farmers dont get a return at least equivalent to their investment, then a policy will have to be made to cover up their loss. In the production of the products like wheat, gram and soya bean, the cost of production is four times greater than the Minimum Support Price of these products declared by the government. Government have been making promises to ensure the welfare of all sections of the society, then why the farmers are deprived. 3. To address the grievances of the people in the various fields like industries, education and health, there happens to be one concerned ministry whereas a farmer has to visit so many ministries like (Chemical, food and herbal processing, electricity, agriculture and water ect) to get his problems sorted out for various agricultural activities. Despite this, the problems of the farmers remain unaddressed. 4. The suicide cases of the farmers have crossed the figure of 10 lakhs which has bee caused by high expenditure in the agricultural field and low return, high prices of seeds, use of poisonous fertilizers and pesticides. The incidences of farmers suicide are in itself a great sin and a national shame. 5. During past few years, the government has shown a deficit of Rs 22 lakh crores only to benefit a few industrialists and others. But the question remains that why there is no provision for special allocation of funds for the welfare of the farmers. 6. Farmers lack a strong organization at the national level and they also lack a coordination at the national level. This is the reason why our political class doesnt heed to their voice. 7. Some vital information about natural agriculture:


1. In one acre of land, you must plant the tress like Shisham, Mango, Kathal, Silver, Oak, Chiku, coconut, papaya, banana and teakwood which increase the fertility of the fields. First the birds that sit on these trees eat up all the insects and pests and protect the crops and also release fertilizers in the form of their excrement. A bird eats lesser grains and more number of insects and pests. The trees enable the farmers to gain extra profit after 20 years. They provide wood, fruits and food. 2. There are around three crore micro-organisms in just one gram of soil. By burning the straws in the field, using chemical fertilizers and ploughing the fields by tractors, one can earn a we generally destroy the useful micro-organisms present in the soil which make the soil barren. 3. Access of water is harmful for your field, good for new land and raw residuals of the vegetables are best fertilizers for the soil. 4. It is estimated that there are about 90,000 worms in one acre of land. One worm can plough thousands of kilometer of land which actually survives on the organic farming. The places where the worms are protected, following benefits can be earned: a. The strength of nitrogen increases by five fold. b. It also increases phosphorus by seven times. c. Potassium increases by 11 times. d. Magnesium increases by 2.5 times. Therefore, the natural agriculture doesnt need the harmful chemicals like chemical fertilizers, urea or DAP. Cow dung, cow urine and dead leaves of trees are enough for increasing the fertility of the soil. 5. A worm survives for 10-30 days. It gives around six eggs a day. It produces 30-40 children in

whole life time and converts about three ton soil into fertilizer. Therefore every worm in the soil is important and none of them should die. Every leaf of a tree is very important for the soil of the field and one worm is equivalent to the one sack of urea or DAP. A Narayan Reddy of Karnataka has been doing natural farming for the past twenty years and he has prepared the trees worth Rs. 20 lakhs. Natural farming has enhanced his earning and he has purchase 30 acres of land. But those farmers who have been using urea, DAP and other chemicals and fertilizers, have been forced to commit suicide and they are also being compelled to sell their land. Must avoid planting eucalyptus plant anywhere in your field. To prepare your field for natural farming, first you add the soil of your pond, the soil from beneath the trees, green fertilizers in the soil of your field. Cow urine, cow dung, Gur (gud), compost etc must be added to the soil of the field. It will definitely increase the fertility of your field and it is wrong to believe that using these stuffs in agriculture will reduce your productivity. Yes, it is possible that if someone directly switches from the chemical-fertilizers to the natural farming and has not prepared his field properly then decline in productivity is possible. Add 800 kg cow-dung fertilizer in one acre of land in the first year. In the second year, 600 kg, 3rd year 400 kg, 200 kg or 100 kg should be added. The farmers should have full knowledge of cropcycle science and insect-cycle science. One crop is the supplement of another crop. Pulses, vegetables, various types of grains, planting the vegetables according to the season to protect them from the insects are the things which should be known to a farmer. Similarly, if one insect destroys the crops, it will be eaten by three other insects, as per the arrangements made by the nature. The farmer has to be aware of the information that which insect is harmful for the crops and which are the insects that destroy the other harmful insects. Crops are largely protected from the insects as per the arrangements of the nature. Mahabharata war, the biggest war in the history of mankind, ended in just 18 days. But it is the war against insects which is being carried out for the last three decades and it is still continued. It clearly shows that most of the agricultural scientists are working to serve the interests of the

companies producing the chemicals and fertilizers at the cost of the interests of the farmers. As a mother is suggested to have a gap of three years between the birth of two kids, similarly a plot of agricultural land should also be allowed to have a gap of three months between the two crops. It will enhance the fertility of that piece of land. A farmer should try to grow everything of his need in his field. A farmer doesnt need to go for shopping in 99 percent cases. For this, every farmer must have the knowledge of crop-cycle. The experience of Bhai Shoorveer Singh about mixed-agriculture is very praiseworthy and inspiring. There is a main crop like wheat and secondary crop like mustard, gram, temporary crop like radish, protective crop like fennel seeds. With the blessings of the respected Acharya Balkrishnaji and Swamiji, a grand scientific research is being conducted at the Patanjali Yogpeeth for the natural farming under the supervision of Indias reputed agricultural scientist Bhai Devendra Sharmaji with the association of Subhash Sharma, Suresh Sharma, Shoorveer Singh and Amarjeet ji. Sangeetaji is also leading a major role in this project with the help of Narayan Reddy, Purvi Vyasji, Rajveer Singh, Dr Surendra Lal, Sri Prakash Raghuvansi and Natvar Singh. Prepare a mixture of 10 kg cow dung, 5 kg cow urine, 1-2 kg Gur (Gud), 100-200 kg mustard seeds, groundnuts, any of the edible oil, 1-2 kg any cheap pulses, flour. Mix it in the soil and after 7-8 days, a natural fertilizer for one acre of land will be ready. Five kg cow urine, 3 three kg chilly (containing more quantity of seeds), kg garlic, leaves of neem, Bhang, Dhatura, Oak, tobacco, caster mix together and boil them in water. After one hour, filter the preparation and store it after squeezing it. Grind the chilly, garlic and leaves properly

natural farming and ingredients have no such effect on human health. Chemicals used in fields can cause the diseases like TB, cancer, impotency, diabetes, skin diseases etc. Whereas the natural farming is very safe for both the country and its people.

Benefits of poison-free bio-agriculture:

However, you dont need to use pesticides on your crops grown according to the methods of natural farming in 99 percent cases. When your crops get oily, just sprinkle milk added with Gud and the pesticide which we have discussed above. For fungus, sprinkle 4-5 liter of 15-20 days old Chhach on your crops in one acre of land. Foreign companies have launched a chemical named Zibrela prescribed for getting glowing shining on the vegetables. This chemical costs Rs 30-40 a liter. But instead, you can use one year old cow dung cake added in 10-15 kg water. The mixture should be kept for 10-15 days before being sprinkled on the crops. We have also evolved a method to protect the crops from the wild animals wild pigs, elephants etc. Take a normal rope and tie it around your field and at an every gap of 20 fit each, install the logs of 2 fit high and cover the both the ends of the logs with cotton which has to be poured with Doctor brand phenyl. The smell of the phenyl keeps the animals away from your fields. This formula has been tested by Bhai Soorveer Singhji and it has been 100 percent successful. The above mentioned method of agriculture helps the farmers to have less investment and high earning. The use of chemical fertilizers means high investment, less production and loss for farmers. While in natural farming, nominal investment, bumper corps production and huge profit. Aadi Kavi (the first Sanskrit poet) Maharshi Valmiki wrote the story of Lord Ram in Sanskrit and Goswami Tulsi Das had written the same in Awadhi (a dialect of Hindi). The two scriptures established him as the legendry person in the Hindu society. Mahakavi (the great poet) Kalidas had also written Namabhiramam Raghuvansh Natham to signify the legend of Lord Ram and also to express his gratitude to him. He was an obedient son, ideal husband, a great elder brother and the most efficient ruler. Hamidullah Afsar Merathi has also signified the sacred image of Lord Ram. He has said that Ram was an incarnation of a supernatural power. Braves carry a sword by invoking his name. He relinquished his rights to become the King and to abide by the order of his father, he agreed to live a ascetic way of life in the forest. Afsar has written: Sifat Bayan ho kya teri dilrubai ki, ki tune bhesh mein insaan ke khudai ki (It is not a simple thing to define your greatness. You lived like a god in the form of a human being.) According to Shaier-e-Gangojaman Nazeer Banarasi, King Dasrath had three wives but he was deprived of any child. With the blessing of Guru Vashishta, his wish was granted and he became a father. He is brave and is endowed with physical and spiritual prowess and courage that is why his name is Mahaveer. For his fearlessness and devotion to Ram-Sita, he is known by the name of Ram-Duta, Ram-Das and other such names. He has many merits like high intellect, truthful speech and an ocean of knowledge. He has complete control over his faculties. Hanumanji is always worshipped by all, particularly by those who participate in sports and Yoga. Balanced and nutritious diet is vital for healthy life.
After food, a disciplined and routine based life is also vital for good health. Let us discuss what to eat

Green vegetables
One should take sufficient amount of green and leafy vegetables and salad in diet. The minerals in aqueous form available in these stuffs maintain moisture in our body which is necessary to overcome the problem of direness. Ten gram (one spoon) Chawanprash taken either in the morning or in the night keeps us fit and fine. Half spoon Chawanprash is sufficient to improve the immune system of the children and his body gets prepared to fight the problems like cold and allergy in the winter season.

Breakfast
One should take germinated pulses like Mung, Moth, Chana in breakfast. One can take one spoon Chawanprash and two or three Chhoaara in breakfast. A child should be given one to half spoon Chawanprash every morning as per his or her taste and liking. Never forget to provide Sitopladi Churna to your children to help them fight cold. Moreover, get your children bathed in the afternoon instead of morning to protect them from cold.

Food habits
One should take sufficient amount of seasonal salad made of carrot, radish, and tomato. One should also take sufficient amount of Chapati, vegetables, Daal and boiled rice as per your capacity to digest

them. It will be better if light and easily digestible food is taken in the night. Avoid taking the food stuffs like Daal in the night which is digested with difficulty. Avoid surplus amount of food in your diet as it can adversely affect your health. The patients of high blood pressure should adjust the amount of salt in their diet according to their diet. Diabetic patients should eat the sweet stuffs in a controlled amount. How to maintain the body warmth in winter To maintain the body warmth, one should take high calorie diet like Dates, Chhora and Cashew. Take two to three Dates or Chhoras boil in milk every night in the season. Also take eight to ten almonds with milk every morning. LAHSUN-KSHEER PAK: Take four pieces of Lahsun (garlic) and boil them in half cup water and a half cup milk. When the liquid is left only half cup then filter it. This preparation in the language of Ayruveda is called Lahsun Ksheer Pak. This preparation is very useful in keeping the blood pressure under control. High blood pressure patients must take it. If thrikuta is taken with milk, it soothes the joint pains. Food for aged people and patients After the age of 60, an aged person should reduce the quantity of his food by fifty percent. The capacity of your digestive system to digest heavy fats and proteins reduces after this age. The food which takes long time and body energy to get digested if taken, they form poisonous stuffs which are responsible for heart attack, diabetes, asthma, arthritis and obesity. An aged person should take the stuffs like milk, Milk-Dalia or milk corn flex with Kishmis or Munakka every morning. These stuffs provide them sufficient amount of energy and will also regulate their stomach and no constipation will be caused. In the afternoon, they should take seasonal salad and that amount of food which could be easily digested. They should take light and easily digestible food in the night. Heavy and complex diet can cause anxiety and they wont be able to sleep properly in the night. Those who are suffering from the problems like obesity should avoid taking fatty oil. They should also take fewer amounts of carbohydrates. They should increase the amount of fruits, leafy vegetables and minerals which provide

sufficient amount of minerals. The patients of diabetes should avoid taking the stuffs like Rewari, Gajak, Gajar-paak and other highly sweet stuffs. The BP patients should avoid taking salty stuffs and fried stuffs in high quantity.

Our digestive system, skin, hair, all are affected due to the change of weather. So bring proper variation in your food. 8. Take rough food grains like maze, oat rich fiber. Take sufficient amount of water to get rid of the problem of constipation. 9. To get rid of the ill impact of winter, take Kesar, Walnuts, almond, dates, etc. 10.Take Vitamin C rich diet like Palak, Tomato, Amla and citric acid rich vegetables and fruits. 11.Avoid taking higher quantity of tea and coffee. Try to take more and more tomato soup, vegetables soups, ginger, garlic and liquid diet. 12. To get relief of joint pain, take Methi dana, fennel with lukewarm water. 13.Take light dinner, soup liquid in sufficient quantity which should also contain optimum quantity of roughage and fiber. 14.Take sufficient sleep. This way maintain a balance in your food and routine life to enjoy a healthy life.

Give nutritious diet to your kids

Just eat fresh and pure


Always eat pure and fresh food. Never eat cold and stall food stuffs. Hot and fresh food is always good for health. One should also avoid taking the food immediately after having it cooked as such food can cause itching and burning in your eyes, burning in urine, indigestion and peptic ulcer.

When and how to take milk


One should take warm milk added with Desi-Ghee as it. Those who suffer from indigestion after taking the food in the night must take milk in the night. Try to take milk without sugar. If you feel it necessary to take sugar, just add Gud (or gur).

Avoid taking Curd in winter


Curd is a complex food stuff which is not easily digestible. It is better to add Amla powder in curd before taking it. Ayurveda suggests not to eat curd in winter and rainy season. One should never take curd after the age of 40. Eating curd in winter can cause authorities, heart attack, acidity and cough problems.

1. Ayurveda suggests that one should eat only when you feel hungry. 2. Ayurveda also suggests that one should take the meal according to his work. We should eat that much of food which can be digested according to his or her work. 3. One should eat anything only after three hours of waking up. Also never be empty stomach for more than six hours after waking up. Doing so actually disturbs your digestive system. 4. imilar is the story of the women brigade of Rani Lakshmibais army. Jhalkaribai was the commander of the brigade. The famous poet from Bundelkhand region, Subhadra Kumari Chauhan, has written only to praise the bravery of Lakshmibai but has said nothing about Jhalkaribai. But Rashtra Kavi Maithalisharan Gupt has written to praise the bravery of Jhalkaribai: JA KAR RAN ME LALKARI THI, WAH TO JHANSI KI JHALKARI THI. GORON MAIN LADNA SEEKH GAYI, HAI ITIHAAS ME JHALAK RAHI, WAH TO BHARAT KI HI NAARI THI. Jhalkaribai was born in a humble Koki family on November 22, 1830. Her father was Sadova aka Moolchand Koli and Jamunabai aka Dhani was her mother. She was born in Bhojala village of Jhansi. Though, she was unlettered but was skilled at domestic works like cooking, taking care of cattle, bringing wood from nearby forest etc. People knew about her bravery when she was attacked by a panther. She had gone to forest to cut wood with her friends. Suddenly a panther ambushed from a nearby bush. Jhalkari didnt feel afraid. Holding her axe in one hand, she joined the slugfest with the beast. She got injured in the fight but didnt relent. She summoned her courage and hit at the head of the panther with accuracy. The beast fell down and died. This way, the story of her bravery reached to the court of Jhansi kingdom. Jhalkari was married to a brave youth named Pooran Koli. He was a serving in the Jhansi army. In 1857, a threat of attack on Jhansi by British rulers was looming. The British rulers of India tried a lot to merge the Jhansi kingdom into the British Empire. One day Jhalkari got an opportunity to meet Queen of Jhansi, Lakshmibai. She had gone to take the blessings of the queen on the occasion of Gauri Puja. Seeing Jhalkaris strong physique, the queen was highly impressed. She had also learnt about the bravery of Jhalkari. Jhalkari was 32&YOG SANDESH&April 2012

Martyrdom day recruited in the women wing of the army of Jhansi which was called Durgadal. Later, Jhalkari was elevated to the post of the top commander of the army wing. Jhalkaris most desired wish was granted. She was trained to use arms like guns and sword and also to handle artillery. Soon she emerged as the most skilled fighter. The British government in India denied to recognize the adopted son of Queen Lakshmibai as the heir of the Jhansi kingdom and began to annex Jhansi into British Empire. Sensing the gravity of the situation all the commanders of the Jhansi Army and the subjects of the kingdom rallied behind the queen to protect the kingdom and decided to fight to foil the nefarious design of the foreign rulers. The queen aptly led the army against the invaders in the battlefield. She defeated the Indian sycophants of the British government on many occasions. Pooran Koli was assigned to protect the main gate of the Jhansi fort. Jhalkari

was assigned to main assistant of the queen in the battlefield. There have been many traitors in India in every age who supported the foreign invaders against the nation. One of the commanders of the Jhansi army, Dulherao, joined hands with the invaders and opened the main gate of the fort. Subsequently the British army entered into the fort. Given the adverse situation, Jhalkari and other trusted commanders of Jhansi army advised the queen to leave the fort. The queen tied her adopted son on her back and sneaked out of the fort. Pooran Koli got the injured while protecting the fort from the invaders. Jhalkari was leading the army inside the fort in place of the queen. When she learnt about the serious injuries of her husbands, she controlled her nerves and continued her fight with great bravery. Queen Lakshmibai wanted to get out of the reach of invaders and Jhalkari was serving in place of the queen. To deceive the invaders, Jhalkari had disguised herself as the queen. She vehemently attacked the invaders. Seeing Jhalkari in the role of the queen, the British commanders believed that queen was still in the fort. Jhalkari fought nonstop with the British army for 12 long hours. Suddenly the Jhansi army started to lose its vigour. She got surrounded from all sides by the attackers and subsequently she was arrested. She was taken in front of the top British commander Hurose. There she was recognised by the traitor of the Jhansi army who told Hurose that she was not the queen but was the commander of the womens wing of Jhansi army, Jhalkaribai. Hurose had great respect for the brave people. Praising her bravery, the British commander conceded that if India had a few more such a passionate woman to protect their mother land, the British rulers will be forced to leave the country. Historians are mum over how Jhalkari died. Some people say that she was hanged while others say that she died in the British prison. Dr Naresh Chandra Koli, president of All India Youth Koli, claims that Jhalkaribai made the supreme sacrifice in the battlefield on April 4, 1857. Contemporary historians have ignored to mention the contribution of Jhalkari but many writes of Bundelkhand have extensively written about the bravery of the great lady. Chokhelal has written a detailed epic on the life and achievements of Jhalkaribai. Bhawanishankar Visharad has also written extensively about the life and achievements of the brave lady. Whenever and wherever the story of Rani Lakshmibai will be discussed, the role of Jhalkaribai will also be mentioned. A statue of Jhalkaribai riding a horse has been installed in Agra city. A welfare hospital has also been built in Lucknow in the name of Jhalkaribai. She will continue to inspire the youths of India for many generations.

Religion means the element, which makes existence or power of some object possible. Accordingly, `dharma` is that, due to which we exist. Religion is love, kindness, peace, service to others and control on body desires. The objective of `dharma` is to set-up a better system but it also inspires to work for the betterment. Thus, the meaning of religion is deep and complex.

work. `Dharma` is the basic of human culture and society on which the welfare of the universe and human being lies. Many people, ignorant of the enormousness and magnanimity of religion, consider different sects as religions. They are confused due to different manner of praying the god and consider them as religion. Religion is an ocean while sects are rivers which, flow from different regions and ultimately merge into the ocean. The tolerance of Indian religions is very high, which is ample clear from the couplets of

`Mahabharat`. `Dharma yo badhate dharmo na sa dharma kudharmak. Avirodhat tu yo dharma sa dharma satya vikram.` Means, true religion is that, which does not oppose other religion. A religion which speaks against other religion is not a true religion. Dharma has only one aim and objective `satyam shivam and sundaram`. According to `Mahabharata`, the meaning of religion is too minute and complex. It is said `sukshma gatirshidharmastha bahushasa havantika`. `Dharma` is deprived from word `dharma dharne` and learned persons describe it in three manners 1) dhiyate loka anen sa dharma 2) dharti dharyati va lokam iti dharma 3) dhiyate lokyatra nirvashartha sa dharma. Hence it is clear that `dharma` word derived from `dhra dhatu` means to carry. In the different segments of Mahabharat, particularly in `shanti parva` and `anushan parva`, elaborated description of religion and `niti` (policy) is found. The above mentioned couplets of holy book Mahabharat clearly depict the greatness and elaborateness. According to Dr Sukathankar Vande, Mahabharata has a great morale objective and it revolves around the pivotal point of religion. The dialogues of `Bheeshma` and `Yudhishthira` are clear to speak out the sermons in the scripture. In the `shanti parva` of Mahabharata it is said `dharnad dharmamityaho dharmen vidhuta praja, yada syad dharna sanyukta sedharma iti nishaya.` Means religion is for the welfare of the public. Religion is preached for the welfare of all souls. Besides, many other definitions related to religion have been given in `mahabharat` like `ahimsa parmo dharma`, anushyasam paro dharma` and `acharshcha satah dharma`. Vyasji has clearly said that religion shall not be relinquished under any pressure or fear or greed. Religion is permanent and immortal. In `Mahabharata`, several beautiful and impressive examples have been

described to show how religion disseminates `adharma` and how a nation is re-built. In `Mahabharata` the described `dharma` is a common `dharma` of the public. This `dharma` is different with the religion of western culture. Religion means, associating human being with god and with this definition, religion is a sect. The description of dharma in `Mahabharata` is based on description in different holy sculptures. In `Manusmiriti` 10 qualities of religion have been described as gharati chama damo usteya shauchaminindr ayanigraha, dheervidhya savyamkrodhe dashakam dharmalakshyanam. Hence, it is very clear that religion is a medium for human welfare and an important formula for unity and coordination in the human society. The quality of `dharma` described in `Mahabharata` are non-violence, truthfulness, kind and mortifying oneself, which are for the welfare of the human being in the society and help in achieving better targets in the life. Hence, `Ahimsa shauchkrodhmanrishya daga shama, agavam cheva rajendra nishyarth dharmalashnam`. According to `Shantiparva` `Ahimsa Satyamkrodhstamo danam damo bhavi`. Means, Brahma has described `Sanatan dharma` as non-violence, truthfulness, calm, donation, control on oneself, seeing good qualities in others, no jealousy and good character. With these examples it is clear that Mahabharata described the general principles of `dharma` social structure and mutual relationship. In Indian mythology, four objectives have been described namely `dharma`, `artha`, `kama` and `moksha`. Achieving it is the aim of life. According to `Mahabharata intelligent people try for `dharma`, `artha` and `kama`, first and when they do not succeed, they try for `dharma` and `artha` and if asked to select chose `dharma`.

Vyasji has clearly stated that in no condition `dharma` should be relinquishe d due to fear, greed or any other pressure. Dharma is long living.

Water is a common chemical substance, which is


mandatory for all types of life. Mostly, water is used in liquid form but its other types are solid like ice or gas like steam. Water covers almost 71 percent of the total earth surface. The major water sources on the earth are ocean and other big reservoirs. 1.6 percent of water is found in underground water resources and 0.001 percent as suspended particles in air or clouds. The water available on the earth has 97 percent salty ocean, 2.4 percent glaciers and ice tops and rest 0.6 percent in other sources like rivers, lake or ponds.

Clean and fresh water is mandatory for life in the world. There has been improvement in every part of the world in recent decades as far as availability of safe drinking water is concerned. Though, observers feel that by 2025 half of the world's population would be facing threat of water. Water plays a very crucial role in the world's economy. It acts as solvent for most of the chemical products and makes industrialization, cooling and even transportation easy. Around 70 percent of the fresh water is being utilized for agriculture purpose. It is understood that the next world war would be fought for water and perhaps, the Government too understands its importance. The Government has warned that irrational distribution of water in various parts could trigger social violence. In the national water policy, draft it is admitted that a larger portion of the nation is facing water crisis. Increasing urbanization, population and changing life style demand more water,

The irrational distribution of water among different community in different regions is injustice and could cause social tension. The increasing sea water level is making underground water resources salty and many adjoining areas are submerging fast. Due to environmental changes, there is deep impact on the natural water resources and because of variation in the rainfall availability of water is effecting. Thus, water crisis and adversity, related to water are increasing fast. With flood and soil erosion, draught problem is also looming seriously. In the water policy draft, eastern and east-northern portions of the country are referred, which have more water resources and said that it too lacks proper infrastructure for water utilization and it needs to be strengthened.

Water related some facts


1) In 11th century, Raja Bhoj in Bhopal constructed an embankment between two hills and prepared an artificial lake. The area was more than 65,000 hectares and water from 365 sources and lake collected in it. 2) In the Junagadh inscription of Raja Rudradaman, it is specially mentioned that Subedar of Chandragupta Mourya (323-333 BC) had constructed a dam while in king Ashoka era (272-232

BC), Tushashnu had constructed a canal. 3) In the period of the first Nand king Mahapraya (343-321 BC), a canal was dug in Teesli division near the capital Kalinga. 4) In the archeological digging recently, instances of age-old canals have been found. The banks were constructed of concrete, stone and lime and were so hard to be broken with the help of spade or even crowbar. 5) Karnataka has been ahead in water storage facility and still over 40,000 lakes are available in the state and utilized. 6) Don't dispose garbage in the water resources or allow others to do so. 7) Don't spoil surroundings of water resources. 8) Don't take animals in the ponds for bath. 9) Cover wells with proper roof so that impurity does not enter. 10)Use bleaching powder, potassium permanganate or chlorine tablets to keep water germless. 11) Clean water resources time to time so that water plants, sphagnum or dirt does not collect at the bottom. 12) For domestic use boil water for 10-20 minutes so that bacteria, larva, eggs die. It is said long earlier `rahiman pani rakhiye, bin pani sab sun, pani gaye na ubre, moti, manus, chun. Safe water as our life lies in water. Water is happiness and prosperity.

Sri Ranchandraji led the Trigun in Traita age and Sri Krishna led the Dwigun in Dwapar age. The Kaal himself is supreme power in Kaliyug. He has made everything deformed like time, culture and Sanskaras. He has also deformed the nature. Even after the lots of efforts by Lord Sri Krishna, the Kauravas didnt agree to his formula of peace and the only solution of the dispute was the great battle of Mahabharata. Even today, the Kauravas located in our mind are again trying to spoil the ambience. Predominance of all evils like violence, misconduct, lechery, greed, political ambitions, social inequality, split in families, fall in moral values are evident all around. The present era also needs a leader, a torch bearer as the greed is predominant in the society. This is the time when we need a person who will remind us the philosophy of Isha Vasyamidam Sarva Ko. Whoever it be the person and whatever be his name, it doesnt matter. The aim is the establishment of Dharma and end of Adharma and this task can be completed by a hermit, a person who has denied all the comforts of life. The nature provides solution to the problems in every age. In todays era, we have a name called Swami Ramdev, a yogrishi. Seeing the works and the achievements of Swamiji, it appears that late Swami Dayananda Saraswati has incarnated once

again. He is feeling a lot of pain seeing the pathetic condition of the country and the society and is desperate to improve the situation. Then Tat will manifest itself in complete truth - that will be Complete Brahma, out of those two, one in the other and both will be one in the inexplicable Sat, Chit and Anand. Sat, ready to be manifested, is the truth of inevitable saccidanand. This is one unified existence, in this two are in on, every one exists with in the other are complete. They manifest this way. Super power emerges out from inside for the nature. Inside the manifested truth, existence of the duality in unity is quite clear; oneness of the duality and unity is the basis of this expression and together it is the authority of the truth. Previous existence reveals that mind split away. So, phenomenon of losing consciousness and existence of ignorance become possible. Then it becomes essential that citta power and Sat present themselves before self and the existence merges completely with it and regains its true unity and oneness. It seems that citta power has escaped Sat but it always remains in it. This fractured truth has to manifest and become fruitful and this attainment of truth is the secret of new creation, where super consciousness, nonconsciousness will become consciousness and mutually become saccidanand (two in unity and unity in two). Then reconstruction of this previous physical manifestation will appear in the form of truth. Then the true manifestation of this creation will merge with one which comes just under the truth. Manifestation of present creation exists behind the bliss and true supreme consciousness and secretly adopts previous and chronological activities.

Our social structure is agriculture based and since vedic era, bovines have been the backbone of the economy of the nation. In British era in 1929, the Indian Agriculture Royal Commission wrote that cows and bulls are carrying the burden of entire Indian economy on their strong backs. Even in Independent India, the situation is more or less unchanged. Still 53 percent farmers are farming with the help of bulls and rest 47 percent, with the help of tractors. The grain production in the country is still cow based.

The number of cows was the yardstick to measure economic condition of a family. The calves were like brothers of farmers. In Ayurveda, adequate importance has been attached to cows as products helps in preparing many life saving medicines. Researches proved that a house, plastered with cow dung remains free from radioactivity. In Vedas, Upanishads, elaborated discussion on the benefits of cow have been mentioned at length. Mother earth too was happy getting cow dung as fertilizer. Hence, it was producing good quality, tasty, healthy and nutritious crops to calm hunger of millions of people. In cow dung adequate percentage of nitrogen, phosphorous, potassium and other elements are available. This fertilizer is useful for four years in the fields. First year 35 percent,

second year 12 percent, third year 5 percent and forth year 2 percent is utilized. According to Soil Testing department, for better crops, 16 elements are needed in the soil. Chemical fertilizers supplement only two of the chemicals required but cow dung and compost fertilizer has all the necessary elements. Research proved that grains, fruits, vegetables and milk produces with the help of chemical fertilizers have less proportion of nutritious elements as compared to biological fertilizers. Another study says that blind use of food produced with the chemical fertilizer has increased urea level in Indians, which is highest in the world and developing various diseases. Despite uncontrolled use of fertilizers and wastage of huge money in it, the productivity has not reached the expected target. On the other hand, it is increasing the earth temperature and damaging ozone layer. The crop utilizes only 25

percent of the urea. A small portion trickles down to the ground water and another portion reacts with oxygen available in the atmosphere and converts into oxide of nitrates. Then, with the help of plants it reaches in troposphere and then travel 30-40 kms above the level in stratosphere and disintegrate with ultra-violate rays into green house gas nitric oxide, which damages ozone layer. In comparison to carbon-di-oxide, it releases 200 times more infra radiation and though its percentage is less in global warming but it is more responsible in increasing the earth temperature. The Indian society is damaging due to blind adoption of western culture and anti-nature agriculture. Abattoirs were opened to kill bovines, which was an assault on the Indian religion and culture. In 1760, first abattoir was opened in Calcutta and till 1947, over 300 abattoirs have been opened. After independence, there was a ray of hope that now Indian rule would save the respect of bovines but in the name of development and secularism, western culture was followed and cow family was hit hard. Due to such negative attitude towards cow, in 1947 there were 60 breed of cows but now it has reduced to just 33. Around 6.4% of bovines are killed for meat. According to the information on India-Bangladesh border bovines of worth Rs 150 billions are smuggled annually for killing. No religion in the world advocates for violence. The human being has developed but in other sense, he is mentally bankrupt. The society is avoiding natural food due to taste and not only attracting but also depending on unnatural food. Nonvegetarians are eating living beings. Farmers were keeping cows for milk and bulls but now tractor has minimized its dependency. But the fact remains that in earlier period,

when farming was based on bovines, farmers did not face much problems. They helped in food, farming and also transportation and were backbone in source of earning. But now with more use of tractor, farmers are suppressed under bank loans and many are committing suicides under pressure of re-paying bank loans. According to Government of India data, over 1.5 lakh farmers in the country have committed suicide. It is a scientific fact that bio-diversity regulates climate and rainfall and fertility of the soil increases. Now due to environment imbalance, 3.2 billion people of the world are facing drinking water and employment crisis. Various animals and vegetables have their own importance in the universe. The world does not only belong to 6 billion people but also 28 billion animals and other creatures. Cow is an important part of the nature cycle and bio diversity. Even Cobra like poisonous snake are needed on the earth then cow, like our mother, who does welfare to the farmer shall be more than our breath and heart beats. Cow is not only milk giving animal but it is a pure creature besides a welfare related idea. The society has age-old cultural and spiritual relationship with cow. Cow is a national asset and hence all efforts should be made to safeguard and protect it. Cow should be given national respect and cow killing should be declared as severe as human killing. In the society, there is system to punish those who kill or torment cows and also repentance. Similar system shall be applicable to those, who leave cows unattended. Once this is done, the nation would march on the path of development in true senses again.

To escape backache, a few things should be always remembered and followed. Avoid sleeping on hard floor, carrying weight in wrong manner, use of improper size shoes or even high-heel shoes to get protected from backache. .

Most of the people face backache, which is related to entire backbone but mostly the lower portion is more affected. Now one question arises, why only this portion is attacked with unbearable pain? But if the body structure is studied properly, the reason could be well understand. Pelvis is the nodal point of entire body, which is much active in the routine activities. Its proper use is important but there is probability of its misuse too. Human being's walking stage came comparatively late in the cycle of human development. The backbone has to bear the whole weight of the body, when a person stands straight. I have referred various reasons for the backache earlier and here are three more reasons for back pain directly related to vertebral column. 1) Excessive labor of muscles and hence, a state of tightness or restiveness. People, who are in state of anxiety or worry have contraction in the spinal muscles. 2) A split in disc (ruptured disc or herniated disc). Routine examination of vertebra could help, identifying the exact point of pain. The painful portion could be in the muscle, adjoining to backbone, with major contraction. Changes in vertebras also exert pressure on the nerves originating from backbone, which are too sensitive for any pressure. With a slight movement even laughing cause immense pain in the body and this pain affects sciatic nerve. 3) Symptoms of facet joints, the facet joint syndrome - On the roach of

vertebra facet exists. In a healthy backbone, vertebra functions smoothly and the facet joints also work smoothly. But with sudden movement, facets are displaced, which cause immense pain. In such condition, bones exert pressure on the little nerves, originating from backbone. Immense work pressure cause tightness in muscles and which ultimately results into backbone pain. Such pain could suppress automatically. Here, one point is very important. As headache indicates serious problem in the body likewise, backache should not be ignored as it also indicates some serious problem within. The reason behind is after cure of backache, it relapses after some time. To escape backache, always remember a few important points as avoid sleeping on hard floor, lifting weight in wrong manner, faulty selection of shoes and completely avoiding highheel shoes or at least minimizing its use. To relax muscles lay down in a bath tub for half-an-hour with bodytemperature water and later bath in cold water. A person could get relief if the painful area is broiled three-four times in a day. First wet the towel in hot water, squeeze it and then place on the painful area for almost three minutes. Repeat the process with cold water for one minute. Repeat hot and cold water wet cloth process three times. And forth time, use hot and cold water, for three minutes each. Moreover, use a band soaked in cold water and wrap on the painful area. Then wrap a woolen cloth around it so that the band is not in outer air contact. In intense pain condition, one or two day fast is very helpful.

This is caused due to the deficiency of the upper layer of tear, the mucin.

Sjogren Syndrome:
The change which takes place in the tears gland and Keratoconjunctivitis sicca, the same change takes place in the slivery gland which causes dryness in the mouth.

Symptom
The dryness of eyes is caused when the rate of the formation of tears decreases or the eye begins to form low quality tears. Eye dryness syndrome is usually caused in the both of the eyes. Following are its symptoms: 1. A feeling of dryness in the eyes 2. Piercing sensation in the eyes 3. Burning sensation in the eyes 4. Redness in the eyes 5. Tiredness in the eyes soon after starting reading something and one can face troubles in wearing the contact lens.

The causes of dry eyes


Least formation of tears Whenever there is least formation of tears in the eyes, then liquidity of eyes decreases. Many times it happens due to the old age, side effect of a drug, some kind of deformities in ones immune system or any other kind of deficiency. The complications related to the eye glands Due to the inflammation or any tumor in the eye gland, the quantity of tears formation decreases. Absence of eye tears gland Some people dont have eye tears gland and this problem could be innate. It could get damaged during some operation. In this condition, the formation of tears decreases. This situation leads to the deficiency when the formation of tears is stopped. Harmful thins falling in eyes Sometimes harmful things fall in your eyes leading to problems in the eye glands. Vitamin A deficiency also leads to decrease in the formation of eyes.

Some nerves related problems Due to the nerves related problems, the tears glands of eyes begin to form lesser quantity of the tears which is the reason for dryness of eyes. Contact lens Wearing the contact lens can cause irregularities in formation of tears from the tears glands. Therefore, those who wear the lenses should be cautious. Environmental Temperature High environmental temperature causes evaporation of tears in the eyes. Moreover, the falling of pollutants, dust, smoke and high speed wind, etc can also cause dryness in the eyes. Ill effects of dryness of eyes Dryness of eyes is harmful for the iris as the longevity of the iris mainly depends upon the substances of which the tears are made. Corneal neovascularization In this problem, the very thin veins become apparent which cause itching and inflammation in the eyes and eyes appear red in colour. Molting In the next stage of the Corneal neovascularization, the cornea begins to melt. Sore on the iris Sore on the iris is followed by the melting of the iris as by then the eyes become so weak that simple blowing of air can also cause a sore. Treatment The treatment for dryness of eyes is done by

the eye specialists on the basis of the condition of the eyes and seriousness of the problem which could be any of the following:

Eye drops and gel: Eye drops and gels are prescribed by the doctors for the treatment of dryness of eyes only when the problem is at the initial stage. These stuffs provide needed humidity in the eyes and prevent the further worsening of the situation. Punctual occlusion This is the method to prolong the staying of tears in the eyes. For doing this, the openings in the eyelids are blocked so that the tears dont spill out of the eyes through the openings. Temporary prevention Collagen plugs are injected into the openings which eject the tears which get dissolved in 1-2 weeks. It moisturizes the eyes for a few days. This treatment is applied on the patients who have minor problem of dryness in the eyes. Permanent treatment In this method of treatment, the openings are blocked permanently for which thermal cautery of openings is advised by the doctors.

Prevention
1. Keep the temperature of your room low to prevent the vaporization of the tears. 2. Those who work on computers should use eye drops. 3. Those who have a habit of wearing contact lenses should stay cautious and keep in touch with an eye specialist.

4. People suffering from this problem should continuously blink their eyelids as it spreads the tears in whole parts of the eyes and maintains the required moist in the eyes. 5. Avoid your eyes turning against the direction of the wind. Wear spectacles.

Swamiji has said that we have stopped the worshiping the knowledge and have also marked full stop on Purushartha and this is the reason why everything is not going in the right direction. Every day, you all should always live in Gyanyog, Bhaktiyog and Karmyog. I live everyday like a whole life. Live while worshiping the almighty and keep yourself engaged in virtuous activities. Life is like an endless journey. Various Chakras located in our body are the centre of various kinds of powers. They all begin with the origin of the spine and end at its upper part. Normally they are like half bloomed flowers of lotus. By following Brahmacharya, Pranayama, meditation etc are the activities which stimulate them. Such activities actually allow the evolution of amazing powers in your body. Swamiji has described about Vibhutipad in this context only. Attending the camp, the Swamiji Maharaj talked about all the eight process of Pranayama in detail and he also informed about their benefits. Later the people who had participated in the camp talked publically about the benefit which they earned in the camp.

Aa rahe hain shikanje mein, Khaye hain jo wo bharna hai, Duniya me jab aaye hain, to kuchh karna hai. Ramdev Baba, Anna ne nai raah dikhayi hai, Saleeke se rahen va jiyen, sundar seekh sikhayi hai. Buddhi shuddhi ke khatir, yog, Anshan, Dharna hai, Duniya me jab aaye hain, to kuchh karna hai. Kuchh netaon ne loot liya is desh ki asmat ko, Adhnangi hui janata, lanat inki kismet ko. Inka Chhadmapurna lekha, Bebaak ab karna hai, Duniya me jab aaye hain, to kuchh karna hai.

He placed a big question mark on the treaty signed by 85 nations, related to black money, he asserted that it is to save the accused and not to punish them. While commenting on Lokpal bill, he said that the Government want to keep it under itself so that corrupts are saved. He said that the people, who looted the nation, how could save Uttar Pradesh.

He just wanted that the electorate should not vote to those who are neck-dipped in corruption and deposited 400 lakh crore of black money in foreign banks. People shall vote to them who are less corrupt. Yoga Guru said that the Government is deliberately ignorant towards Rs 400 lakh crore deposited in foreign banks while the CBI Director himself has accepted about the money. He said that his campaign would continue till black money is not brought back and corruption is not stopped.

Over 800 Patanjali Ayurveda products are being marketed through a chain of Patanjali hospitals and Patanjali medical centres. Now Patanjali Ayurveda has decided to market its products in open market, in competition with main stream FMCC companies. Patanjali Ayurveda has claimed that his products are high quality and 30 percent cheaper as compared to competitive brands. While inaugurating the distribution system, Patanjali Ayurveda is expecting turn-over of over Rs 2,000 crore. Baba Ramdev said that everybody in the world sees India as to be super power soon but it is possible only when India translates into economical super power. Baba Ramdev said that `swadeshi` would play a crucial role in this transformation and we would strengthen India with swadeshi products. Swamiji said that at present Patanjali Ayurveda is marketing body care, health care, home care and other products through its own chain of over 3000 Patanjali hospitals and Patanjali medical centres. He said that the raw material is directly purchased from the farmers and would continue to do so in future also. He said that due to control of unnecessary expenses, the cost of its products is very less as compared to other companies. To further strengthen marketing, 20,000 distributors have been appointed and on franchise basis swadeshi centres would be opened. In next one year, over one lakh such centres would be opened. The number of Patanjali hospitals and Patanjali Arogya centres would also be increased upto 5,000.

Haridwar. International Association of Sanskrit Studies, France and National Sanskrit Institute, New Delhi jointly organized a world conference on Sanskrit in Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi. Representatives from 32 nations participated in it. On the occasion Dr Krishna read out his research paper on `Sanskrit and asian/regional languages`. Sanskrit scholar Dr Robert presided over the session. It was heart pleasing to hear pure and clear Sanskrit pronunciation by the foreigners. On the occasion, it was announced that the next Sanskrit convention would be held in Thailand.

Haridwar. Under the aegis of Patanjali university, Haridwar, a seven day national camp of National Service Scheme was arranged in village Shantarshah in

which 77 people donated blood. On the occasion Vice Chancellor Brigadier Kartar Singh said that National Service Seheme is also a leading organization and students should enthusiastically participate in it in full strength. The Registrar of the university Professor Jawahar Thakur, while inaugurating the camp said that National Service Scheme is a result of the positive thought of youths and it develops nationalistic sentiments among the young blood. The Program Officer Dr Hemant Bist exhorted the students to work towards the objectives of the scheme with full transparency and honesty. He said that Patanjali University is a leading university of the nation working towards nationalistic sentiments and social, culture upliftment. The students studying here are overwhelming with the nationalistic sentiments. He said that in Shantarshah, activities like cleanliness drive, awareness campaign, blood donation and environment conservation were taken-up successfully. The Officer on Special Duty (OSD) Professor RK Sharma and Head of Yoga Science Professor GD Sharma gave details of the values attached to the scheme. In inaugural ceremony, teachers of the Government primary school, Shantarshah Archana Sharma, Bina Pal, Dipti Pant, Monika, Nisha, Vandana Sharma, Manorama Sharma and others were also present. The special theme of National Social Scheme, this year is `youth for health`. Many social workers and village men were also present on the occasion.

Haridwar. Yoga Rishi Swami Ramdevji Maharaj has said that with elements of service to the nation and planned steps could take anyone much ahead. No religion is bigger that nationalism and no god bigger than the nation. National interest is supreme and for me, `rashtra dharma` comes before `sanyas`. Swami Ramdevji Maharaj was expressing his views in six-day advance training program for the officers of NSS, arranged at Patanjali University, Haridwar. The program was conducted by NSS cell of Kumau University, Nanital under Elevation Training Institute, Uttarakhand. On the occasion, Swami Ramdevji Maharaj said that India has been the most powerful and prosperous nation but the power of the nation has been hidden deliberately. Even history is misleading. India still has immense power and possibilities. India prays the earth, sun, moon and even trees. He said that person, who is not sapling plants is a criminal as we are taking oxygen from the trees and plants and giving nothing in return. He said that I am doing service to the nation because I can't live without service. He said that if any work is done in an organized and planned manner, 99 percent success is assured. He asked people to be aware and alert about trees and water. While citing examples, he said whatever we would offer to the mother earth, would come back to our body. Swamiji said that the work of NSS is alike service and the tasks undertaken in the scheme are a big achievement for the nation. He emphasized that for him `rashtradharma` comes before `sanyas`. He said that Mahatma Gandhi was a supporter of value-based development. He spoke openly on the Gross Domestic

Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev announced to sale Patanjali products like wheat flour (ata), gram flour (besan), salt, mustard oil, washing powder, many types of juices, fruit jams, pickles, toothpastes, spices, body cleanser and other beauty products in open market. Baba Ramdev said that for the time being, products would be available in the open markets in Delhi, Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh. Later, products would be made available in Assam, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh. By April, products would be available in every part of the nation. Baba Ramdev said that Patanjali Ayurveda Limited has to compete multi-national companies and to promote swadeshi products; it planned to make products available in the open market across the country. He said that after yoga and ayurveda, he dreams of `swadeshi kranti` (revolution) in over one lakh villages. To achieve the target `swadeshi kendras` would be opened in villages with more than 3,000 population. This would promote products of small industries as market would be available for them. But Baba Ramdev also clarified that his medicines would not be available in open market. Only 100 gram weight products and beauty products would be sold in retail market. Baba Ramdev said that when China, America and Japan like nations are stressing more on domestic products to make their economy selfdependent why it can not happen in India? He lamented that in the name of Swadeshi, our country thinks of only `khadi`. He claimed that Patanjali Ayurvedic products would be 30-50 percent cheaper as compared to other products, available in market. He informed that at district levels in entire country, around 600 distributors have been appointed. He plans to purchase raw material directly from farmers so that they would be benefited. Archarya Balkrishna said that Patanjali Ayurveda prepares 500 products, including 250 medicinal products of which over 100 edible and beauty products would be available in retail market.

In the training program, the Vice Chancellor of Dev Sanskriti University Professor SK Sharma, Vice Chancellor of Patanjali Univesity, Brigadier Kartar Singh also expressed their views. While conducting the inaugural session, the Editor of the monthly newspaper of NSS, Dr KL Talwad said that the enhanced training program would ensure constructive development of the program officers. On the occasion, students of SSDGP College presented a dance show, based on Saraswati vandana and `panchtatva`. Students of Patanjali yogapeeth gave beautiful presentation of yoga and asans. The registration fee for opening a Swadeshi center is Rs 1100 which will be possible if the Kendra Sanchalak (convener) is able to engage at least 11 people in the several activities like yoga, Adhyatma (spiritualism) and Yog Sandesh. 3. The other important documents for opening a Swadeshi Kendra- four passport size photographas, Identity Card, a photo state copy of the sales tax registration slip, rent agreement paper of the place where the centre will be opened, if you have your own shop then present its papers, detailed information of your bank account, map of the place where the centre is to be opened and details of your authorized representative. 4. Profit share for Swadeshi Kendra- 16 percent on medicines (without VAT), 10 percent on herbal cosmetic products and food products. 5. The Swadeshi Kendra will be supplied with over 100 healthy food products and herbal cosmetic products. Special: It is mandatory to sell only those products at these Swadeshi Kendras which have been decided by Patanjali and no other products manufactured by foreign companies will be allowed. No non-vegetarian food stuffs, narcotics, non-edible products will be allowed to be available on these Kendras.
