STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

I, K.Yogesh Reddy take this opportunity to introduce myself as a B.Tech student of MADHIRA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY &SCIENCES , affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University which is one of the finest institutions in imparting technical education in India. I wish to apply for graduate studies in Electrical Engineering(Embedded systems) at your esteemed University for SPRING 2010. In what follows I have tried to summarize my motivation towards graduate studies.

Why Graduate Study?

To sail beyond the sunset and the baths of all the western stars, until I die. In this ever changing world of Technology, where each new day seeds a spate of new concepts and applications and passing day makes them obsolete, I want to attain the highest level of education and transcend new horizons in the chosen field. The vast application potential and tremendous scope for research in Electronics and Communication and its technology has always fascinated me and I am keen to continue my academic pursuit in this field. This led to the zeal of pursuing Graduate study that calls for personal commitment in fulfilling the crafts of independent research and dedicated involvement. In turn, I shall get intellectual satisfaction and gratification of becoming a contributor of knowledge, with greater personal rewards of memory and discovery. The achievement I had at my undergraduate level cannot quench my thirst of knowledge. There is a meaning and destination in everybodys life. I strongly feel that my life will be fulfilled and fruitful when I achieve something in life. My graduation can become a stepping stone to reach my destination. Death closes all: but something ere the end, some work of noble note, may yet be done. I believe that my graduate studies at your university can make me attain my noble achievement.

Academic Background:
In the pursuit of knowledge, I have always adopted a rigorous approach in order to obtain an in-depth understanding of subject at hand. This is amply reflected in my consistent academic career. Through out my education, quantitative and analytical abilities have been my strengths. Mathematics especially interests me greatly and is proved by my task record in the subject. The pleasure obtained being absorbed in problems and finally arriving at the solution is immense. My natural propensity towards subjects involving mathematical concepts and logical thinking coupled with practical approach provided scope for innovations and applications of any analytical skills. The thorough background in science and ineluctability of Electronics in any aspect of life be it Engineering, Education, Entertainment etc vindicated my choice and obviated my need to make Electronics and Communication my undergraduate major. I was given strong foundation in core

subjects like Signals and Systems, Digital Signal Processing, Digital Image Processing, Analog Communication, Digital Communication, Satellite Communication, Microprocessors, Microcontrollers, VLSI, Linear and Digital Integrated Circuits, Pulse and Digital Circuits. I was also exposed to C language and Data Structures in my academic curriculum.

Preparation For Graduate Study:

In my Undergraduate studies I have benefited from the extent of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological Universitys syllabi content that has given me a comprehensive exposure to the core areas of Electronics and Communication Engineering and a strong conceptual understanding of the same. In these four years, I have strived to maintain an approach expending independent effort in all my endeavors. Learning by me and sharing my knowledge with others has been most worthwhile, when comprehending a concept.

Areas Of Interest:
As a student of Electronics & communication Engineering, I took deep interest in subjects like Analog and Digital electronic circuits, Microprocessors & Micro-controllers, Power Electronics and IC Design. My natural liking for electronic circuits and the inspiration provided by various technical articles and papers led me to take up a course on Embedded systems. In the stream of Electronics and Communication where technological advances and developments are occurring in no span of time.. There range of applications and potential for research enthuse me to take them as my graduate majors. My first step into this field is through the course of Micro comtrollers.

Reasons For Selecting University:

As I realized that my academic goal is not yet achieved and in order to reach the educational plateaus I desire, I need a good University like yours, which provides the best research facilities, excellent faculty, flexibility and a great student-professor interaction. I hope that my struggle, perseverance and triumph through my Undergraduate studies qualify me as an excellent student for Graduate study. I am confident that your University will be an ideal college for me to attain my full academic potential.

Summing Up:
I bring along a strong grasp of fundamentals in Electronics and Communication Engineering, and aptitude for research and teamwork, a zest for challenges and an enthusiastic desire to learn all I can. I would like to take with me, In addition to knowledge of Micro controllers and a network of strong and lasting relationships with my teachers and fellow-students. I hope that my background and qualifications are suitable for an MS in Electrical Engineering at your esteemed University with possible financial aid.
