HELP Our CHILdrEN THrIvE

El Camino YMCA partners with Project Cornerstone to help adults connect with young people in a positive way to help young people thrive. Research shows that there are essential elements that are crucial to healthy development. We call these elements Developmental Assets. They are an integral part of our programs and services. Developmental Assets help create positive experiences, relationships, opportunities and values that young people need to thrive. Examples of these key assets include: adult role models; positive peer influence; caring environments; positive cultural identity; and a community that values youth. For more details on the 41 research-based Developmental Assets and the organization that drives these efforts, visit www.projectcornerstone.org.
