Internet Safety Share Project GPS Reflection 1. Please provide a detailed summary describing the artifact and its purpose. This particular project had two parts. The first part was to be made by a network, or a group that can work and depend on each other. My network had to learn as much as we could about internet safety and utilize technology to share what we learned. We then had to make a plan for sharing what we learned. Finally, we had to make a presentation that shares our information. My network collaborated and created a prezi. We then organized a parent forum to teach parents about internet safety. The second part was to be done individually. It consisted of making a glog to show our involvement in our networks plan. 2. Identify and list the GLPO(s) that were satisfied in completing this artifact. In addition, please explain how these GLPO(s) were met by specifically referring to the examples or evidence from the artifact. (Please specifically refer to the indicators within each domain, and do not simply state that you Took Action or Communicated Ideas.) There were three GLPOs that were satisfied in this project. They are take action, communicate ideas, recognize perspectives, and investigate the world. I took action by teaching parents about the dangers of cyber bullying and online predators. I also showed them about what should be done in any of these scenarios. I communicated ideas by effectively informing a specific audience about cyber bulling and online predators. I investigated the world by researching a problem that troubles teens across the nation. Finally, I recognized perspectives by keeping in mind what information the parents will find useful in keeping their children safe. 3. What skills and concepts were learned throughout the process of completing this artifact? There were several concepts and skills that I have learned over the course of this project. A concept that I learned was that the internet can be a valuable tool, or a dangerous weapon. It has (and still is) helped the world evolve into what it is today. But, it has led to the cause of death and conflict over its uses and the ethics behind it. A skill that I have learned is the ability to utilize glogster. Another skill that I have perfected is my ability to use prezi. Finally, a concept that I learned is that team work can be done in all fields of work, and can greatly improve ones final result. 4. Looking back on the process of completing this artifact, what might you do differently if you were able to recreate or revise the final product? How has process of completing this artifact positively affected your future? If I were able to recreate my project, I would have put more information into the prezi. I was pressed for time since the project had to be done in three weeks. I also didnt really focus

on it. I also would have urged my network to have organized the parent forum much earlier. Must of the actual work was done at the last minute. There was also a time error on the flyers we passed out, causing the parents to show up an hour early. This project has shown me that team work can be difficult if some of the team wasnt doing their part. In the future, I will collaborate more with my network or future associates.
