PRE-PLANNING STAGE 1.1 1.2 1.3 Secure all necessary design information and prepare all the necessary designed drawings. Submission of design drawings for approval. Prepare all necessary shop drawings and determine the actual position to commence installation with the mobilization of required work force, tools and equipment

CONSTRUCTION STAGE 2.1 The 11kV VCB Panels are delivered by truck to the site. To prevent movement of 11kV VCB Panels in the truck while transporting, the panels are wedged tightly. The truck is to be parked nearby the drop location. The lifting supervisor will check the site to ensure that there is no potential danger during hoisting. A mobile crane of 20 ton or 30 ton is used to hoist the VCB Panel off the truck to the unloading point. Hoisting steel ropes are tied to form a loop. The VCB Panel is then lifted-up 300mm above the ground for 30 seconds. Observation for any abnormalities is made. If nothing is unusual, the VCB Panels is then hoisted-up. The VCB Panel is then lowered to a base with G.I. pipes at the unloading point. After that, the VCB panel is pushed into position by manpower. The panel is raised-up by hydraulic jacks and then be supported with timber. The G.I. Piping base is then removed and the VCB Panel now is sat on the timber. The panel is then slowly lowered onto the floor and tightened in place by foundation bolts.

TESTING & COMMISSIONING 3.1 The following tests are to be carried out by Licensed Testing Engineer and the test report shall be submitted. The test report shall be verified by a professional Engineer. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Overcurrent protection relay operation test. Earth fault protection relay operation test. High voltage power frequency test Current transformer ratio and polarity test The transformer earthing system test should also be carried out.
