Dad, its time to keep up your promise.

This year the school is going on a trip to Himalayas during the summer vacations. It was a calm summer night in Hyderabad, stars gleamed in the sky over our heads as I sat by my wife on the second-story balcony of our Haven, when my little angel expressed her desire to go on a school trip. I had promised her a vacation with friends if she scored well in her board examinations, and to our surprise she had the highest marks in her class. I smiled and gave her the permission for a memorable time with friends. What about me? chuckled the young and enthusiastic brother of her and said, I also scored good in my exams. Prashi smiled looking at me and asked him what he wished to have for a present. I will have the new 16 gear bicycle and go on a hiking trip with you guys, was the reply with a cunning smile as if he had hit two birds with an arrow. The joy on their faces was worth everything to live a life. All the tiredness and strain from working extended hours would just fly off when you sit with your wife and children sipping a hot mug of coffee. Those were the days when I started to feel that the time has come for me to start a consultancy of my own. Kids were grown up and I could give time to my long awaited dream. The idea was to bring the birds of a feather to flock together. It was time to spread the idea to the friends from school, college and various work places I had lived for the last 40 years. It took us couple of years to finally complete every legal formalities and the dream that four of us had seen fifteen year back was right in front of us. It was the opening ceremony of the new office and the environment was all joyous. My aged parent embraced me; my wife hugged me; long we gazed on each other, kids were speechless with joy. Brothers and sisters, uncles, aunts, and cousins, students and friends of years long past were grouped around me, not a dry eye among us. Passed now into the archives of memory, the scene of loving reunion vividly endures, unforgettable in my heart.
