Perfect sculpted tiny felt bow for baby headband

When it comes to baby bows and headbands, believe it or not, the smaller the better. Dont ask me why. Maybe because the bow doesnt overwhelm the baby and smaller things are generally cuter than bigger things. So if you want to make smaller bow, print the pattern smaller before cutting. Easy! The size you make by printing this pattern on A4 paper is ideal, in my opinion.

Piece A (Bow loops) Cut 1

Sewing instructions 1. Print page 1 of this document. You can do this on regular A4 printer paper. Cut out pattern pieces A, B and C. 2. Pin pattern pieces to felt fabric or trace around pattern pieces lightly onto your felt using a pen. Cut around pattern pieces. You need good quality sharp fabric scissors for this project. The felt needs to have a clean cut edge in order to produce a neat and smart looking bow.

3. Thread your needle with a matching colour thread to your felt fabric. A single thread is sufficient. 4. Sew the ends of Piece A together.

8. Admire the finished product!

9. If you are making a baby head band, measure and cut your elastic leaving approximately 2cm to overlap and join the ends with thread. 10. Attach the finished bow to the elastic using several stitches along the elastic to prevent the bow from twisting and being crooked when worn.
