It is easy to understand that many computers connected to the Internet are vulnerable even without installing a remote desktop solution. We at BeAnywhere share this concern with you and thats why security is, and must be, always the priority. During the design and development of BeAnywhere security always prevailed over usability features.

All communications between the Server and the Console (image transfer, keyboard, mouse, files and clipboard) are encrypted first with an RC4 compatible algorithm with a 2048 bit key and then using AES-256 protocol. This way, the privacy of all information sent and received by the user is assured. To prevent "man-in-the middle" attacks, all communications containing image, keyboard and mouse commands, files and clipboard have a digital signature that assures the data has not been tampered. Each Server communicates with BeAnywheres central server through a secure HTTPS connection. Each Server logs in the central server through a user/password combination. The authentication process between the Server and the Console is made through a user(email)/password combination known only by the user. The central server never has access to this information. That information is never kept in any database, guaranteeing that the user is the only one with control over his/her computer. For greater security, you can configure your Server so that at the end of each session the remote computer is locked, forcing the next user to login on the remote computer again. This double login system allows two authentication levels on the Server.
