Strategic MENA Arabic Recruitment of Talent (SMART Program) The World Bank seeks to recruit dynamic and professional

Arabic speakers in the MENA (Middle East & North Africa) region. The SMART Program is designed to introduce young talented Arabic speakers to the Bank and more specifically to the MENA Region. Interested candidates should ideally possess a specialization in a field relevant to the World Banks operations such as economics, finance, education, public health, social sciences, engineering, urban planning, and natural resource management. The World Bank's priorities in the Middle East and North Africa Region focus on supporting the countries as they embrace change and move forward to meet the development challenges of the Region. Emphasis is placed on the importance of jobs, governance, inclusion and sustainable growth. Responsibilities: The SMART professionals will hold the following responsibilities: Work as an integral member of a sectoral or economic team supporting client countries in development and economic dialogue and engagement in the Middle East and North Africa Region. Undertake research and analysis in diverse sectoral and/or economic areas Work in project teams providing outreach to a wide variety of stakeholders who will benefit from the Bank's support Draft, review and finalize documentation for delivering assistance to countries in the Region Selection Criteria: Candidates should have outstanding academic credentials and a post-graduate degree (Masters or PhD) and a minimum of three years of relevant work experience. Candidates should have total fluency (writing, reading and speaking) in Arabic and English; French is desirable, but not required. Candidate should have excellent communication skills and should be at ease working in a multicultural setting and in a team environment.
