Fall Preschool-6th Grade Flag Football

As the nations leading nonprofit for youth development and healthy living, the Y provides kids, families and communities with vital support and opportunities to learn, connect and thrive. Flag Football is just one example of how our youth, volunteers, and staff come together to better our community and provide positive experiences for our youth. Ages Y-Rookies Flag Football Clinic: Preschool: 3-4 year olds AND Kindergarten: 5-6 year olds 1st-6th Grade Flag Football: 1st and 2nd grade divided, 3rd-4th and 5th-6th grades combined When/Where Y-Rookies: Clinics are held Sundays: Preschool 1pm and Kindergarten 2pm September 9th-October 14th(6 weeks) Waukee HS practice fields 1st-6th Grd: 1st-2nd grade games are played Sunday afternoons September 9th-October 28th(8 games) 3rd-6th grade games are played Saturday mornings September 9th*-October 27th(8 games) The 4th Annual Bowl Games will be held on Saturday, Nov. 3rd!

*First games afternoon of Sunday, Sept. 9th-no games day of ISU vs. Iowa Game
All games will be played at the Waukee H.S. Practice Fields. There will be 1 weeknight practices beginning the week of August 27th. The time and location of practice will be determined by the coach. Registration Information Registration begins June 1st and may be done online, at the Welcome Center or by calling 987-9996. The registration deadline for the Leagues is August 19th, 2012. Rates Y-Rookies: $35 members/$70 non-members 1st-6th Grd: $60 members/$120 non-members $15 All Sports Jersey (Required to participate) Additional Info: Y-Rookies: This clinic emphasizes fundamental football skills, learning rules, and gaining social skills in a positive atmosphere. Teams will be randomly selected. 1st-6th Grade: This league will give participants the opportunity to learn additional football fundamentals. All players receive a mouthpiece.
