What is DiALTA? DiALTA is a combination of "digital intelligence" and "lealta," which is Italian for "accuracy" and "fidelity." It's our nickname for the Minolta Di Series. These copiers are engineered with a combination of our exclusive digital and CS (Customer Satisfaction) Technology, thereby creating a new CS philosophy.

The Di181 as a Copier

When used as a copier, the Di181 delivers high-quality images with 600dpi. You can also take advantage of numerous memory features that are uniquely digital.

Top copying speed is a productive 18 copies/min (A4 crosswise), after a mere 30 seconds of warm-up time.

90o Image Rotation

The Di181 comes equipped with "90 o Image Rotation," which rotates the image 90o and sends copy paper through in a crosswise direction. Should you unintentionally set an A4 original lengthwise, or need to reduce an A3 size original to A4 size, the Di181 will copy rotate onto A4 size sheets in crosswise format.

Photo Mode
The Photo Mode delivers 256 gradations and improves reproduction of a photo original, as well as provides you stable halftone images.

1 Original Scan/Multiple Copies

The Di181's "1 Original Scan/Multiple Copies" feature allows you to exchange documents speedily by scanning a document just once to make multiple copies.

High-Volume Paper Supply

The Di181 has two, 250-sheet paper trays and a 50-sheet Multiple Bypass for a three-way paper feed. When the optional Large Capacity Cabinet is attached, you get large-volume paper storage of max. 3,050 sheets.

Large Memory
The generous 16MB memory gives the Di181 the ability to memorize up to 35 sheets of A4 size. By adding the optional 8MB memory, the Di181 can memorize up to 75 sheets.

Super G3 Mode for High-Speed Transmission
Thanks to the standard Super G3, which incorporates a 33.6kbps high-speed modem, the Di181 can transmit facsimile messages at less than 3 seconds per page, using a general telephone line. Furthermore, thanks to JBIG compression technology, even half-tone documents can be quickly transmitted, thereby reducing long-distance fees.

When transmitting, you may select from Ultra Super Fine, Super Fine, Fine or Normal modes, depending on your needs. Half Tone Mode is ideal for documents with many photo areas. Data is transmitted in 256 gradations.

Large Memory Capacity
The Di181's 2MB memory (max. 10MB) allows you to store outgoing or incoming large-volume documents. Standard is 120* A4 sheets (max. 512* with optional memory). *ITU No.1 chart in standard mode.

90o Image Rotation

The digitally processed receiving image is rotated and paper is sent through in the direction your paper is set.

Book Scanner Transmission and A3 Size Transmission

Thick books, magazines, even cut and pasted documents can be set on the glass and sent directly without the need to make copies first, thereby saving paper. A3-size documents and blueprints can be transmitted and received without the need to reduce size.

Speed Dial/One-Touch Dial

A convenient Speed Dial function can store up to 150 numbers and up to 40 numbers can be stored for the One-Touch Dial function. Simply store your most frequently called numbers to cut down on dialing time.
