Understand the tables behind InfoCube.
Prerequisites:
You must know how to create 3.x dataflow to load to DSO & InfoCube (You should have done the reference material creating 3.x data flow, Creating InfoCUbe)
Note:
Please use the same InfoObjects & the flat file used in this document. Please use a paper & pen, when you do this assignment, to analyze.

InfoPackage Settings
Load Data 1. Run above InfoPackage & Load data into DSO 2. Observe the data in DSO. Activate the DSO data 3. Right click on DSO > Additional functions > Update 3.x data in targets > choose Full Update. > Start the Load to InfoCube. 4. Go To Manage of InfoCube > Request Tab, observe each columns in this tab.

3. Understand the tables naming standard. List down all the tables. 4. Now open each table in SE11, note the Keys & non-Keys

5. What columns does the F-table contain? What are the Keys? 6. What columns does the DIM contain? What are the Keys? Which columns relate to F-table ? 7. Understand the link between SID tables & DIM tables 8. Observe Region DIM table. Its linkage with SID tables. 9. Now draw the F-table, DIM tables, SID tables on a paper. Make the entries that you see in each tables. Try to link the data from F-Table to SID tables. 10.RSA1 > (locate your InfoCube) > right click > display Data > Fls Selection for Output > select all char > execute > in this selection screen check Display SQL Query > execute.
11.Read the SQL query, try to identify what tables the system is looking into. If you dont understand the SQL, dont worry. You dont have to!
