An interactive art project that will be forever remembered

We create a massive Cardboard Town which people can inhabit for a week or two. We also invite existing members of the Cardboardia community to join us in the construction of Cardboard Town.

WHAT IS CARDBOARD TOWN?

An international, social, art-project
A new form of city-event A mixture of performing art, design, street and interactive art genres

CREATE, EARN, PLAY!

CREATE!
Visitors and members of the local community can join us in the building of the Town and can design and create their own objects on site.

EARN!
Cardboardia is also an economic role-play game with its own rules, currency and social system. Visitors and guests can work in one of the many businesses or buildings in the town, or even start their own business.

PLAY!
Performances, workshops and parades take place in Cardboard Town every day.

We give visitors the chance to become the artists in the Town.

LEARN AND GAIN EXPERIENCE!

We organize international design, architecture and creative economy contests in the lead up to the town opening.
Educational and networking possibilities are available for students and young people, along with access to invited experts.

HELP ENVIRONMENT AND CHANGE YOUR TOWN

Local social initiatives are invited to take part in Cardboard Town.

Interaction within the local community is stimulated and encouraged.

REALITY 2.0
any visitor can get a citizenship of Cardboardia and participate in civic life in Cardboard Town.

AN ECOLOGICAL PROJECT The main material Cardboard Town in built with is cardboard - easy for constructing, easy for recycling.

CHILD FRIENDLY TOWN

Children and adults have equal rights; they participate in the organization of the Towns events and are involved in the governance of CardboardTown.
