Forty Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering students of Bicol University Polangui Campus actively participated in the recently concluded IECEP-BSC Students Summit 2012 held at University of Nueva Caceres, Naga City last July 7, 2012 with the theme IECEP-BSC: Uniting ECE Students Towards Intellectual Advancement and Academic Excellence. A total of 394 BSECE students from the affiliate schools of IECEP-BSC which includes Aemillianum College INC., Ateneo de Naga University, AMA Computer College, Legaspi, Aquinas University of Legaspi, De Vera Institute of Technology, Camarines Sur Polytechnic College- Nabua and Naga Campus, Masbate Colleges, Polytechnic Institute of Tabaco, Computer Arts and Technological Center, University of Nueva Caceres, University of Northeastern Philippines and Bicol University Polangui Campus, attended this year Students Summit. Series of seminars in connection with the activitys theme was conducted during the said regional event. The first was a mini workshop about MatLAb And MathCAD with Applications in Electronics and Communications discussed by Engr. Edgardo N. Martinez Jr., an instructor at UNC. The other topics were: GSM Architecture Fundamentals, 3G, and Wave Division Multiplexing Fundamentals discussed by Globe Telecom personnel namely Engr. Eric O. Tino, Engr. Anthony Francis L. Laynesa and Engr. Manuel F. Brecio Jr. Russel Olivarez and Jose Dexter Dy, the President and External Vice President of BU

AECES respectively, also the official representatives of BUPC to the IECEP-BSC Board of Directors took their oath of office administered by Engr. Harold Jan R. Terrano, the IECEP-BSC Adviser and a part-time instructor of BUPC. John Carlo A. Ruiles, the Governor of IECEP-BSC and fellow BUPC student officially ended the event with his closing message. Engr. Terrano together with the BU AECES officers supervised the delegation from BUPC.
