INTRODUCTION

Alexis is an International Not-for-Profit & NonPolitical Organisation with Passion For Excellence. It promotes Creativity, Innovation, Peace, Harmony and Inclusive Development. We are focused on providing a platform for youth leadership development, we offer young people the opportunity to be global citizens, to change the world, and to get experience and skills that matter today.

Currently, We have over 1000 members from different Academic, Ethnic, Social and Economic backgrounds.

ABOUT US

We started off as a bunch of young college students. Alexis was born when we, as undergrads, recognised the dearth of a good platform for India's youth.

Our long term goal is to create and develop a pool of young enthusiasts who can give back to the society and make our country and the world a better place to live in.

MISSION

To empower the youth community which fails to reach out to a large audience when they raise their voices. We provide them a platform to reach out and disseminate their ideas to other like-minded people, who work together in unison for global concerns by making optimal use of the limited resources we have at hand. We as worthy citizens of India understand that it is our duty to educate and spread awareness about the various issues that concern us. We acknowledge the fact that the urban educated youth has the power to change the way issues have been addressed in the past. Alexis is the confluence of the dynamism of the youth with the power of media to create compelling content that reaches out to a mass audience in order to create awareness.

We work at a wide range of projects and have not limited our self to a limited set of issues. We focus on anything and everything that is intriguing and is related to todays youth, our nation and the world as a whole.

People are our strongest asset. We select people with intelligence, integrity, passion and the ambition to make a difference. Youth Empowerment is our missionit defines who we are. Each and every one of us strive to make a personal impact. We are down-to-earth, friendly, humble, and approachable. It's a differentiator for us and a core strength of our teams. We celebrate diversity. We join hands with people from different educational, social and cultural background. This is because we believe that diversity teaches us to respect each other, it broadens our horizon and a diverse pool of people generally come with out of the box solutions to different problems. Most importantly, We enjoy what we do and have fun. We like working with each other. We are not afraid of hard work. But we recognize that our work is only one part of a fulfilling life. At Alexis, we share these common goals. So, fitting in is easyjust be yourself.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

a. To develop and encourage all types of cultural and literary activities like Music, Literature, Painting, Sketching, Graphic Designing, Photography, Film Making, Journalism so on by providing education and training in above mentioned respective fields. To provide career counseling and impart useful personality development tips to students. Guidance related to various emerging careers, entrance exams, scholarships, financial matters, foreign education and various issues related to it. To motivate and prepare students & youth to become self reliant and develop effective communication, managerial and entrepreneurial skills. To promote Family Planning, HIV/AIDS Awareness, TB & Polio Awareness, Rural Development, Healthcare Facilities, Women Empowerment, Adult Education, Skill Development etc. and coordinate and with Government, Non-Government Organisations, International Organisations, Citizen Groups, Public & Private Institutions, Companies, Firms and Individuals in these and various other areas.

To conduct theatre plays, producing documentaries on social causes like welfare and development of scheduled caste and scheduled tribe people, welfare of women and children and also on cultural activities like music, history, folklore, tribal art etc. To publish and distribute useful literary works for the welfare and development of minorities, scheduled castes, scheduled tribes and other backward classes and also for Youth, Women and Child Welfare (including rehabilitation programmes). To promote literacy, scientific, cultural and social improvement of all classes of community, of both sexes, by conducting lectures, workshops, conferences, seminars and competitions. To conduct awareness programmes on various social, environmental and economic issues and various policies of Central & State Governments.

Sanrakshak - An Awareness Programme on Family Planning and HIV/AIDS Prevention.
