Progress made on Outputs For each target highlighted in the partner fund, explain achievements in terms of numbers OUTPUT TARGETS OUTPUT INDICATOR ACHIEVEMENTS (Explain in brief and provide exact numbers) We have established and or strengthen relationships with 8 hotels/agents who should be buying uwmawima products There are at least over 50 to 100 farmers (could be more) that sells directly to local and community markets. 30 farmers were recently sent to Morogoro Agricultural show, each farmer represented a zone. When spoken to them, they emphasized appreciation, and the amount of knowledge they gathered from the exhibition and how they will share the knowledge with the rest 20 to 30 people are very active and consistent Post harvest loss has been reduced to 25%. We are still aiming 0 to 5%. Having a bajag will make a difference To date there are 24 VICOBAS group with a savings of up to TSH. 20,447.00. Around 336 people are benefiting form the program. More revolving funds are needed, because their businesses are growing but they cant borrow much

3. Counterpart Investment What is the total amount contributed in US Dollars by VSO and its supported farmers under this Partner Fund Award. Counterpart investment can include the costs of agricultural inputs, marketing expenses, salary payments, etc. Counterpart investment would be anything you/your farmers paid for to support activities under this Partner Fund Award that was not charged to TAPP. 5. Challenges Encountered It is always time consuming trying to collect all this data (Agricultural data) from various people. Most of the people responsible for collection of the data are not mobile, ad I think it is important that Uwamwima get couple of BAJAGs and couple of motorcycles. 6. Conclusion and proposal for new Partner Fund Award (if applicable) I have started to see progress in Uwamwima, because farmers are no longer reluctant to bring their produce to the hub and are showing more and more interest in extension trainings and the practice of modern farming techniques.
