MATTERS 5.1 Wages 5.1.1 The minimum rates of establishments will be as follows: wages payable to adult employees in photographic

NOTE: The rates of pay in this Award are intended to include the arbitrated wage adjustment payable under the 1 September 2005 Declaration of General Ruling and earlier Safety Net Adjustments and arbitrated wage adjustments. [Disputed cases are to be referred to the Vice President.] This arbitrated wage adjustment may be offset against any equivalent amount in rates of pay received by employees whose wages and conditions of employment are regulated by this Award which are above the wage rates prescribed in the Award. Such payments include wages payable pursuant to certified agreements, currently operating enterprise flexibility agreements, Queensland workplace agreements, award amendments to give effect to enterprise agreements and overaward arrangements. Absorption which is contrary to the terms of an agreement is not required. Increases made under previous State Wage Cases or under the current Statement of Policy, excepting those resulting from enterprise agreements, are not to be used to offset arbitrated wage adjustments. 5.1.2 The minimum rates of wages payable establishments will be calculated as follows: Years of Age Under 16 years of age 16 and under 17 years 17 and under 18 years 18 and under 19 years 19 and under 20 years 20 and under 21 years to Junior employees in photographic

Thereafter at the minimum adult rate prescribed for the class of work being done. 5.1.3 Calculation of Junior rates - The rates of pay applying to Junior employees will be calculated in multiples of 10 cents, with any result of 5 cents or more being adjusted to the

next highest 10 cent multiple. 5.1.4 Leading hands - A leading hand appointed as such by the employer will be paid an extra $16.20 ($15.70 as from 15/8/05) per week in addition to the employee's weekly wage as prescribed. 5.1.5 Payment for work on weekly half-holidays - Employees, not being casuals, will be paid, in addition to their ordinary rates of pay, an allowance of $4.00 ($3.90 as from 15/8/05) per week in the case of adults and $3.20 ($3.10 as from 15/8/05) per week in the case of Juniors, for work within the ordinary spread of hours which may be required to be performed on the day observed as the weekly half-holiday. 5.2 Northern and Mackay allowance 5.2.1 Employees employed in the Northern Division will be paid $1.05 per week in the case of adults, and 53 cents per week in the case of Juniors, over and above the rates of wages prescribed by this Award. 5.2.2 Employees employed in the Mackay Division will be paid 90 cents per week in the case of adults, and 45 cents per week in the case of Juniors, over and above rates of wages prescribed by this Award.
