Description Schematics Used components PCB View of the device The circuit for substitution of a low-frequency choke installed in lightings with fluorescent lamps (FL) represented. The necessity of such device is stipulated by big energy losses in an choke (as a corollary - its heating) and high level of a low-frequency noise during its working.

Schematics :
For the basis of the schematic is used the complete industrial device.

It is impulse HF converter. The entering circuit voltage connected to JP1JP2, is rectified VD5-VD8 and is flattened C6. The R1C3 is for decrease of infiltration a HF of interferences in a primary net and restricts a current surge at inclusion.

The lamp connected to contacts JP3-JP4 one spiral of heat and to contacts JP5-JP6 - other. The VD1-VD4RT1 prevents an overvoltage on an output of a converter in a heating moment of a lamp, defending transistors. The R7C7VD12VD11 is for steady start. The diodes VD9VD10 are entered for elimination of ejections of voltage at switching transistors. The converter loaded on a lamp through a HF choke L2. The capacitor C2 ensures initial weep of a current through spirals of heat of a lamp in a time of engagement.

Used components :
Power dissipation of all resistors 0.125W, behind exception R1 - 1W. RT1 - thermistor with a positive temperature coefficient. Nominal voltage of capacitors: C7 - 63V; C1, C4 - 250V; C3, C6 - 400V; C2, C5 - 630V. The author has applied non-polar capacitors of the corporation National Semiconductors and Philips. The capacitor capacitance C6 can be reduced up to 20 uF. Zeners VD2 and VD3 can be exchanged with one unipolar with 47-60 voltage of the stabilization. The diode VD12 - trigger diode DB3 of production SGS-THOMSON. Inductance L3 - in a cast casing. The choke L2 is reeled 300 coils of a wire d=0.3 on a ferrite core M2000HM of a type size 4x4. The transformer TR1 are reeled by a wire d=0.3 on a ferrite ring M2000HM of a type size 10x6x4.5 and contain 7 coils (1-2), 3 coils (3-4), 3 coils (5-6), and the beginnings of a reelings correspond to even digits in indexing on a schematic.

PCB :
The plated circuit board was developed for installation in a case of the standard lighting with size for choke 100x35x35 mm.

In a PCB with the sizes 100x35x2mm make two slots 15x2 mm for strengthening the device to a Case. PCB are put in a Case of the lighting so that to prevent any electrical connections with a case. The transistors VT1 and VT2 of installation on a heat sink do not require. All connections are necessary for fulfilling by wires supposing a current 1A.
