1 Version introduction
1.1 Upgrade requirement
Please make sure the phone to be updated is purchased through proper channel and is using HuaWei formal version.

Upgrade notes

This is an Android 4.0 version patch. Please read carefully the instructions and update with caution. Before updating, please pay attention to requirement for software version, hardware version, back up methods of user data, and the battery power. For details, please read chapter 5 <Notes>, of this text.

2 Android 2.3 to Android 4.0 upgrade operations

Back up your personal data before upgrade, the upgrade process will wipe all user data.
2.1 Main package upgrade

1 Download the officially released Android2.3 update patch with your pc. 2 Prepare a formatted Micro SD card which at least has 700MB available space. Make a dload directory on SD card root directory. 3 Copy the step 1\ dload\UPDATE.APP to SD Card dload\UPDATE.APP. 4 After entering the home screen, press menu key to choose

5 When Update Complete appears on the screen, this stage of upgrading finished. Then pull out the battery and the SD card.

6 Delete the UPDATE.APP file and Copy the Step 2\ dload\UPDATE.APP to SD Card dload directory. Repeat step (4) to step (5). 7 Delete the UPDATE.APP file and Copy the Step 3\ dload\UPDATE.APP to SD Card dload directory. Repeat step (4) to step (5).

8 At last pull out the battery, SD card and USB cable (if connected). Then insert the battery to reboot the handset, wait for a few minutes and enjoy it!

3 Android 2.2 to Android 4.0 upgrade operations

Back up your personal data before upgrade, the upgrade process will wipe all user data.
1 Download the officially released Android2.3 update patch with your pc. 2 Follow the officially released U8800pro 2.3 version update instructions to update the phone from Android 2.2 to Android 2.3 3 Download the officially released Android4.0 update patch with your pc. 4 Follow the chapter 2Android 2.3 upgrade to Android 4.0 operationsto update the phone from Android 2.3 to Android 4.0.

4 Android 4.0 to bigger version update instructions

Back up your personal data before upgrade, the upgrade process will wipe all user data..

5 Android 4.0 to Android2.3 swap-back operations

Back up your personal data before upgrade, the upgrade process will wipe all user data.
1 Download the officially released Android2.3update patch with your pc. 2 Follow the officially released U8800pro 2.3 version update instructions to update the phone from Android 4.0 to Android 2.3

The version is android 4.0 ICSplease read the instructions to update your phone. 1. Software requirement a) Before upgrade, please guarantee the version you use is Huawei official version, or else it may upgrade failed or cause unknown problem. Dont try to upgrade software of other country or customization, or else it may upgrade failed or cause unknown problem.
