A good deal of business IT courses is included in the study programme thus supporting also IT project management or IT analyst careers. Successful completion of this Degree Programme allows working in the areas: software engineering, system analysis and design, Information security, Web design and programming, and IT management. The BIT Degree Programme is based on the most efficient learning and teaching methods. We are using project-based learning and courses where the students are getting practical skills. Our department has an IT laboratory where students can be in contact with business life of the region, working with real-life professional tasks. Transatlantic Degree Programme in Information systems (TraDIs)

BIT students can apply for this programme, which is the first and the only one at the moment joint degree programme involving Finnish and US universities in the area of business information technology. This is significantly enhancing career opportunities after the graduation! TraDIS involves: Kemi-Tornio University of Applied Sciences (Finland), University of Massachusetts Boston (USA), University of Massachusets Dartmouth (USA), and Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences (Germany). Within TraDIS programme, the students spend half a year in each of the partner schools and have possibility to get two degrees: one from their home institution and another one from one of the American universities. TraDIS programme is open for EU-citizens or applicants from third countries who have lived in EU for at least three years and for the purpose other than studying before applying to TraDIS.

BIT-ohjelmassa keskityt liiketoimintaa tukevien tietojrjestelmien hydyntmiseen ja kehittmiseen. Opiskeleminen monikulttuurisessa ympristss antaa valmiudet tyskennell kansainvlisiss tiimeiss ja tytehtviss. Tytehtvt voivat liitty mys teknisiin asioihin, kuten laitteiston ja ohjelmiston yllpito- tai kehitystehtviin sek tietoturvaan. Tytehtvt vaihtelevat, mutta yleens niiss edellytetn asiakaspalvelutaitoja ja loogista pttelykyky sek ongelmanratkaisutaitoja. Transatlantic Degree Program in Information Systems (TraDIS) -koulutusohjelmassa ovat mukana Kemi-Tornion ammattikorkeakoulu (Suomi), Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences (Saksa), University of Massachusetts Boston (USA) ja University of Massachusetts Dartmouth (USA). Koulutuksen ppaino on tietojrjestelmien hallinnassa, mutta opintoihin sisltyy mys hyv joukko tekniikan ja liiketalouden opintoja. Jokainen opiskelee kussakin yhteistykorkeakoulussa puolen vuoden periodin. Opintojen ptteeksi opiskelija saa kaksi tutkintotodistusta, yhden omasta korkeakoulustaan ja toisen USA:sta. TraDIS-ohjelmaan valitaan vuosittain kuusi opiskelijaa. Valinta perustuu oppimistuloksiin, motivaatioon ja kielitaitoon. Ulkomaisten jaksojen opiskeluun saa rahoitusta osittain mys projektilta. TraDIS-koulutusohjelmaan hakevan tulee olla EU-kansalainen. Kemi-Tornion AMK on ensimminen ja tll hetkell ainoa ammattikorkeakoulu, joka tarjoaa kaksoistutkintoohjelmaa Yhdysvaltojen kanssa tietojenksittelyn alalla.
