SPECIFICATIONS
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN, BE IT KNOWN THAT I, 1) citizen of the United States, have invented a new and useful 2) which the following is a specification: 3) (INSERT PURPOSE OR FUNTION OF INVENTION) ,a , device of
The foregoing has outlined, in general, the physical aspects of the invention and is to serve as an aid to better understanding the more complete detailed description which is to follow. In reference to such, there is to be a clear understanding that the present invention is not limited to the method or detail of construction, fabrication, material, or application of use described and illustrated herein. Any other variation of fabrication, use,
It is intended that any other advantages and objects of the present invention that become apparent or obvious from the detailed description or illustrations contained herein are within the scope of the present invention.
Referring now descriptively to the drawings, the attached figures illustrate a (Insert- Btitle of the invention)
34)
Figures 1 illustrates a 35) (Insert-B title of the invention) according to the present invention, 36) (Insert-D describe the invention in use.
37) (Insert-E physical description of invention Same as #9). SAMPLE: The present invention 10 generally comprises two U shaped clips 26 and 27 that are part of a single embodiment 10, as seen in FIGURE 2. The first clip 27 has a downward facing mouth 20 opening to an inner surface 21, which consists of two substantially parallel legs 28 and 29 which are connected at the top by a tightly curved U shaped portion 24. This inner surface 21 of the first clip 27 is shaped to accept an article such as a belt, clothing pocket, or fishing tackle box front vertical edge 32 by means of pushing the clip down onto the article thereby pushing the mouth of the clip apart to accept the article 32. The second clip 26 has an upward facing mouth 22 opening to an inner surface 23, which is shaped to accept two separate cylindrical articles of differing diameter 30 and 31, or the two halves of a fishing pole in either the assembled or dis-assembled state. FIGURES 1 and 2 illustrate one embodiment, the holder 10 according to the present invention is attached to a fishing tackle box 14, by opening the lid or cover 16 of the tackle box and pushing the mouth of the first clip 20 in a generally downward direction onto the top edge of the lower portion 15 of the tackle box, thereby urging legs 28 and 29 apart to accept the edge of the tackle box with the pressure of the curved portion of the first clip 24 providing sufficient pressure to secure the holder in position. Additionally the lid 16 of the tackle box 14 is then closed in normal fashion, further securing the holder in place. The fishing rod halves 11 and 12 can be inserted into the holder in substantially side by side parallel position either before or after attachment of the holder to the tackle box. FIGURE 4 illustrates an alternate embodiment of operation of the present invention 10, in which the holder is mounted onto fasteners 45 attached to a vertical surface 46 such as a garage wall. This is accomplished by first securing the fastening device into the wall
by standard methods, allowing the heads and some portion of the shafts 47 of the fasteners to remain exposed. The holder 10 is then placed over the exposed portion of the fasteners through provided access holes 40 and 40a in the back of leg 28 of the first clip 27, and then pushed in a generally downward position into a slots 41 and 41a provided in the back of leg 28 and directly above the provided access holes 40 and 40a which are integral with the slot and the leg 28 of the first clip 27 of the holder 10. The fasteners can then be tightened to secure the position of the holder against the surface by standard methods through the provided access holes 42 and 42a in leg 29 which is integral to both the first 26 and second 27 clips. Referring now to FIGURES 3 and 7, both clips 26 and 27 as well as inner surfaces 23 and 21 may be manufactured in various sizes to accommodate fishing rods and handles as well as other articles of differing sizes, and are preferably made of a material which will flexibly allow for articles to be inserted into the clips, yet also maintain such pressure as to firmly hold the article in place.
It will also be understood that, in addition to 38) (Insert-C function of invention, the device can be used to 39) (Insert- other possible uses for the invention It is further intended that any other embodiments of the present invention that result from any changes in application or method of use or operation, method of manufacture, shape, size, or material which are not specified within the detailed written description or illustrations contained herein yet are considered apparent or obvious to one skilled in the art are within the scope of the present invention.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION (Note: The Following Section is Optional & Not Required To File) Description of Related Art
Many devices have been proposed for 45) (Insert-Cpurpose or function of invention) . Some of these devices are found in Patent Nos. 46) (Insert-patent numbers, owners, and issue dates of related patents for devices similar to your invention) . However, these devices are limited in their functionality, 47) (Insert- Explain how and why these referenced inventions are limited or inferior compared to yours. SAMPLE: Many devices have been proposed for holding various articles, including fishing poles in a desired location or position in both the assembled or disassembled state. Some of these devices are found in Patent Nos. 3,992,799 issued to D Oakes on November 23, 1976, 5,421,117 issued to Geraci et al. on June 6,1995, 4,961,505 issued to Moeller in October 1990, 4,569,466 issued to Webber in February of 1986. However, these devices are limited in their functionality, some by holding only those fishing poles with certain types of handles or eyelets, others by not providing the user with a hands free method of transporting the fishing poles. In the above mentioned Pat No. 3,992,799, Oakes limits the type of fishing pole it will carry by targeting the handle or butt of the pole as a fastening point, thereby limiting its use only to those poles whose handle fits in the provided socket. In Pat No. 5,421,117 issued to Geraci et al. on June 6,1995, the device is not designed for hands free transportation of the fishing poles, and therefore must be carried instead of allowing the user to attach the device to a belt or fishing tackle box, thus allowing hands free transportation of the poles. In Pat No. 5,573,167 issued to Bebb et al. on November 12,1996, Bebb only provides one attachment clip thereby limiting the use of this holder to fishing poles only in the assembled state. This device also does not allow for the user to attach the holder to a surface such as a wall for storage while not in use. The market for fishing poles contains many different designs and therefore requires a more universal holder that targets the generally typical aspect of fishing poles not currently being addressed by the prior art. It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide an improved more universal apparatus for use in transporting and storing a fishing pole in the assembled or dis-assembled state without de-rigging the article which addresses the deficiencies of the prior art.
