1. 1.1

Introduction Purpose

The aim of this document provides an overall description of CUTLASS system and describes the use cases and actors. The actors who represent the users of this system. The use cases which describe the processes that happen inside this system. 2. 2.1 Actors Student

This actor (student) is the main user for this system, who is studying in Coventry University. Moreover, this actor can register in the CUTLASS system. By register personal information & student ID. Also he can add and configure a new device. Also, student can report a stolen or theft device to CUTLASS system .More description see Student view Usecase diagram Fig 2. 2.2 Staff

Actor staff is responsible on account management of users (student) whos the target uses the CUTLASS system. All Staff roles are shown in Fig 3. 2.3 Admin

Actor Admin is responsible on account management staff/student and manage configuration of the CUTLASS system such as block user, report stolen or theft device etc. All Admin roles are shown in Fig 4. 3. 3.1 Use Cases Register

The user (student) must register in the CUTLASS system to use it. By adding personal information and student ID. In addition, user (staff) can be add or register only by admin user. 3.2 Log in to CUTLASS

The student must log in to CUTLASS system to manage his account like add devices and report lost or theft device. Also, staff and admin must log in to CUTLASS system to manage staff account and CUTLASS system.

Add new device

This use case allows the student to add his device information like device type and serial number of it and the software system that used in his device. 3.4 Report

This use case allows to the student to send a report to the CUTLASS system in case of theft or stolen device. 3.5 Tracking Device

The CUTLASS system will track the device in case of student send a report to this system when theft or stolen device . 3.6 Edit Configuration

In this use case allows to the student to update his personal information and update the device. For example, when student changes just the software system of his device, then student needs to update his device information. 3.7 Manage student account

In this use case allows to the staff to manage the student account like add new student or delete. 3.8 Manage user account (staff, student)

In this use case allows to the admin to manage the staff and student account like add new staff , student or delete. 3.9 Update CUTLASS system & insure security information

In this use case allows to the admin to manage the CUTLASS system like update, maintenance and insure security information for this system. 3.10 Log out

In this use case allows to the CUTLASS users (student, staff and admin ) to log out of this system.
