In case the registered device is stolen or lost, then the student can report the complaint of the missing device. The software tracks and locates the lost device and provides all the details to the student on their accounts page. They can also request for the status report online to check if any unwanted website or any suspicious activities are

performed on the system.

Coventry university track locate and Is an software application assemble (CUTLASS) That Safeguards all the registered electronic devices with the universities to track the electronic device in case its lost or burgled. Unlike The current system where student goes to the council in the university and later reports to the police of Coventry. Which might be inefficient method to locate stolen electronic goods belonging to student? Our product Monitors, manages and organize

different types of electronic devices that belong to the student in a database. When the device is stolen or reported missing, our tracking software tracks the registered device and locates the

position of the device where it is being in use. It also captures the image of the user if it has a webcam or the system also triggers an alarm. It also provides an entire report of the activities on the device. Our product ensures the safety of students electronic devices and makes.

If student is not at the university during then he or she can use a laptop and any mobile device to log into the university network before using the CUTLASS facility. Once the complaint is lodged then the system accesses the database and tracks the lost device.

4.2 assumptions and dependencies CUTLASS is designed using a component based approach. A list of pre defined data and few values are identified. We also use few resource kits during the development of the software. 5. Product Features 1. Registering the device: students electronic devices can be easily register to the CUTLASS database by providing the details, such as the product number, modem details, IP address and so on. 2. CUTLASS website: it is designed for ease use of the system by the student. The interface is very friendly and they can login into the system without any difficulties. 3. Tracking software: we have designed the tracking software that is compatible with most of the modern computers. It is updated to the current markets system configuration and updates will be provided as the markets technology advances. 4. User friendly: all the interfaces are user friendly and instructions are also provided for the students so that they can overcome the difficulties in using the software. 5. Technical support: we have a team who provide assistance for the students by helping them answer any queries and also help them with installing the software or in providing assistance on using the tool. 6. Tracking: when a complaint is lodged, the system tracks the device, it not only tracks the device but it also triggers an alarm so people around will be able to detect the device. We also have given a facility of activating the webcam automatically and capture the image of the user. 7. Providing reports: we also have a feature of providing the status report for any registered device. So student will have an idea if any unauthorized website or any suspicious activity was performed from the stolen device. 6. Other Product Requirements Our product is designed for the market standards. Hardware requirements for our product are windows operating system xp/vista/7 with at least a minimum of 256kb ram with a processor above 2.1 GHz. For better results we also advise user to have an internet browser such as internet explorer 6 or above, Firefox 2.1, Google chrome. User manual has been provided along with the license key for the validation of our product. We also provide online assistance with installing and using of the product.
