DFLCSComponents

DF-LCS refers to multiple pouches and bags specifically designed for Security Forces performing different Missions throughout the world. YourSquadron SOPsandyourcurrentmissionwilldictatewhatpouchesyouwoulduseandwhere yourpoucheswillbepositioned.

ThispictureshowsanM4DoubleMagPouchlyingontheharnesswhereitistobemounted. Youarelookingatthebacksideofthepouch.Notethe2attachmentstrapswhichsnaponto You are looking at the backside of the pouch. Note the 2 attachment straps which snap onto thepouchatthebottom(redarrows)andalsonotethe2horizontalwebbingstripsonthe pouch(bluearrows)whichlineupwiththespacesbetweenthewebbingontheharness (yellowarrows).

Firststepistounsnaptheattachment strapsonthepouchandpullthemoutfrom underthehorizontalstraps. Feed the attachment straps through two Feedtheattachmentstrapsthroughtwo channelsofthewebbingontheharness,be sureonlytogothroughonestrap. Bendtheattachmentstrapsbackupand h h b k feedthemthroughthechannelsinthefirst straponthepouchsbackside.

Bringtheattachmentstrapsbackdownand feedthemthroughthenextlowestrowof webbingontheharness.

Feedtheattachmentstrapsthroughthe finalrowofwebbingonthebackofthe pouchandtheharnessthensnapthemback intoplace. into place

Hereisapictureofthepouchnowattachedtotheharness.Alsoseeinthesecondpicture, lookingattheside,howtheattachmentstrapsfedback and forththroughthewebbingon looking at the side, how the attachment straps fed backandforth through the webbing on theharnessandthebackofthepouch.

Asyoucansee,theideaoftheMOLLEattachmentmethodistoweavetheattachmentstrap As you can see the idea of the MOLLE attachment method is to weave the attachment strap betweenthevestandthepouchitself.Thiscreatesthesamebasicconnectionassewinga simplestitchtojoin2piecesoffabric,andallowsthepouchtositsecurelyandnotmove fromsidetosideorupanddownontherig. AllofyourMOLLEpoucheswillbeattachedthesamewayandwillusemorestraps/channels ifthepouchesarebigger. ThenextslidehaspicturesofhowtoattachyourHydrationpouchtothebackofyourH Harnessifitisrequired.Thiswillgiveyouthecapabilitytoalwayshaveyourpouchattached tocarryyourwaterbladderandeaseofputtingonyourMultiMissionPack(MMP).

InthefirstpictureyouhaveyourHHarnessandhydrationpouchwiththeshoulderstraps takenoff.Alsonoticehowlongthetwoattachmentstrapsare(redarrow).Thosestrapswill g p ( ) p weavethroughthetwoouterchannels(bluearrows)andsnapattheendofthepouch.The secondpicturesshowsthecompleteattachment.

ThenexttwoslideswillshowyouhowtoputyourCTP1Lprotectiveinserttogetherand insertitintoyourcanteenpouch.TheCTP1LinsertisusedtosecureyoureAN/PVS14night insert it into your canteen pouch The CTP1 L insert is used to secure youre AN/PVS 14 night visiondevisewhileyouarenotusingitsoitdoesnotdanglefromyourneck. ConnectallofthevelcrosidesontheCTP1Ltogether(redarrows)sotheymakeacupsize holdertofitinthecanteenpouch(bluearrows).

InserttheCTP1Lintothecanteenholder(redarrow).Youwillnoticeastripofvelcroon thebackoftheCTP1Landanotherstripofvelcroinsidethebackofthecanteenholder. the back of the CTP1L and another strip of velcro inside the back of the canteen holder ThosetwopeaceswillconnecttosecuretheCTP1Linthecanteenholder.

ADJUSTINGTHEWAIST

AlongwithadjustingyourQuickReleasebucklesyoucanadjustthewaistonthesidesof theHHarness.Thenextfewslideswillshowyouhowtoadjustthem.

Openthewaistfromthebottomoftheharnesstoexposetheadjustablesidestrap(red arrow).Everythinghasvelcroonitfortheeaseofquickandsecureadjustments. Nextremovetheadjustablestrap(bluearrow)

Attachtheadjustablestrapinapositionthatwillbecomfortableforyoutowear(redarrow) Nextsecurethevelcrowaistbackintoitsoriginalposition(bluearrow) Completetheadjustmentbydoingthesamethingtotheoppositesideofthewaist.
