As so, the pilot requesting such rating must prove that he can handle under all types of scenarios ranging from low visiblity, increased traffic and work load, operations on short runways, LAHSO, basic line-oriented operations, and various failure scenarios. This program is meant to challenge the pilot to reaching new heights. It is not uncommon for a pilot in this program to land or takeoff on runways less than 6000ft in length, therefore a strict understanding of weight limations is also a must. Pilots will be scored on judgement in particular scenarios(go around, weight limitations, runway lenth, etc...)

Additional Ratings
Throughout your career at Star Airways, you will always be able to request additional ratings. Just like the real world, you are able to fly multiple aircraft types. To obtain an addition rating, the pilot must:

-Fill out the "Additional rating request" form -Complete the "first officer exam" for the aircraft he or she is requesting rating on -Complete a check ride on the aircraft the pilot is requesting ratings on

Switching Equipment Programs

If a pilot wishes to switch to an equipment program lower than that of what he or she is already at, then he or she must fill out the "equipment transfer" form. No ratings will be lost. If the pilot wishes to rejoin their original program, they will NOT have to complete any checkride or test, as it was already completed.
