August 2012 | www.TheEliminateProject.org USA 1 Region Coordinator Ellens challenge

Mothers around the world are counting on Kiwanis to help save their babies remember one baby DIES every 9 minutes. By September 30, we need to have 80 percent of club coordinators recruited and trained for the new Kiwanis yearour year of participation; you may want to consider a 50 percent target by the end of your DCON. This newsletter is dedicated to helping our USA 1 District Coordinators with available tools and ideas to use in recruiting club coordinators critical for success.

Campaign resources and tips for success

The new campaign video that was just released at International convention is now available on YouTube. Did you catch The Eliminate Project Walk at International Convention? You can do your own walk to eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus as a division or club project this fall. Work with incoming lieutenant governors to set a division target of at least one Model Club in each division. Use Zellers and Hixsons designated for The Eliminate Project for recognition. As long as clubs did not request recognition when they originally sent funds to KIF for Eliminate, they can request to apply those funds toward recognition. Email Steve with questions. Do you have things to share or need information about a particular topic? Email Ellen to be included in the next newsletter.
