II Warned of God
Divinely intimate visits from God are very special.
There is always a good reason, and they are intended
to demonstrate that God is in controL Let's begin our
study in the Book of Luke. Jesus has just been born.
There is a man in Jerusalem who is about to receive a
divinely intimate visit from God.
Luke 2:25 And, behold there was a man in Jerusalem,
whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just
and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the
Holy Ghost was upon him.
Don't overlook that Simeon was just and devout. His
name in the Hebrew language means "hearing". God has
heard Simeon's prayer, and the Holy Spirit will answer.
The consolation of Israel is Messiah, of course.
Luke 2:26 And it was revealed unto him by the Holy
Ghost, that he should not see death, before he had
seen the LORD's Christ.
The word "revealed" in this verse is from the Greek
word "chrematizo" (khray-mat-id'-zo). It means a divinely
intimate oracle. It has been translated into English in the
KJV Bible as "be called, be admonished (warned) of God,
reveal, and speak". God revealed to this devout prayer
warrior that he would see Messiah before he died.
Luke 2:27 And he came by the Spirit into the temple:
and when the parents brought in the Child Jesus, to do
for Him after the custom of the law,
As they presented the Child before the Lord, they
were to offer a sacrifice (Leviticus 12:2,6).

If Simeon had died that evening, he would have died
in peace. He had seen Messiah.
Luke 2:30 For mine eyes have seen Thy salvation, ill.
Which Thou hast prepared before the face of all people;
;l2. A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy
people Israel. H
The Lord's salvation had been born for all people,
including the Gentiles. God's elect should be as Simeon.
Pray for Father's direction and guidance. He will hear and
answer you. Tum with me to the Book of Acts.
Acts 10:1 There wa~ a certain man in Caesarea ca/~ed
Cornelius a centunon of the band called the ltalJan
band. i A devout man, and one that feared God with
all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and
prayed to God alway.
Cornelius was a Gentile, and a very religious man.
Don't overlook Simeon and Cornelius prayed to God. God
is about to answer Cornelius with a divine intimate visit.

Acts 10~·3 He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth
hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, and
saying unto him, HCornelius." ~ And when he looked on
him, he was afraid, and said, "What is it, Lord?" And He
said unto him, "Thy prayers and thine alms are come up
for a memorial before God.
The point I want you to pick up on is that prayer
always precedes a divine intimate visit. When we ask, God
responds with a messa~~,warnillg, or_ revelation.
Acts 10:5 And now send men to Joppa, and call for one
Simon, whose surname is Peter: §. He lodgeth with one
Simon a tanner, whose house is by the sea side: he shall
tell thee what thou oughtest to do."
When God speaks to you, listen carefully and follow
His instructions without question.
Acts 10:7 And when the angel which spake unto Comelius
was departed, he called two of his household servants,
and a devout soldier of them that waited on him continu­
ally; S! And when he had declared all these things unto
them, he sent them to Joppa.
Now God has work to do in Joppa. He is going to
prepare Peter for the arrival of the men Cornelius had sent.
Acts 10:9 On the morrow, as they went on their journey,
and drew nigh unto the city, Peter went up upon the
housetop to pray about the sixth hour: 1!l And he became
very hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made
ready, he fell into a trance,
The Holy Spirit had a message for Peter. Let's learn.
Acts 10:11 And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel
descending unto him, as it had been a great sheet knit
at the four comers, and let down to the earth: 1l. Wherein
Were--liTr ff'fanner of four-footect beasts of the earth, and
wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.
All of these are unclean according to Leviticus 11. But
remember, Peter is very hungry. Will he eat?
Acts 10:13 And there came a voice to him, "Rise, Peter;
kill, and eat. u 1J. But Peter said, "Not so, Lord; for I have
never eaten any thing that is common or unclean."
Peter knows this message is from God, but he has got
to be wondering what message God is trying to commu­
nicate to him by telling him to eat unclean animals.
Acts 10:15 And the voice spake unto him again the
second time, "What God hath cleansed, that call not thou
common."
Unfortunately, many falsely believe that God made all
animals, even those He named unclean, clean to eat in this
Scripture. That isn't the message at all. What is the message?
d"ts 10:16 This was done thrice: and the vessel was
received UD aaain into heaven.
 Peter didn't eat the unclean animals, and God didn't
leave the unclean animals there for Peter to eat.
Acts 10:17 Now while Peter doubted in himself what this
vision which he had seen should mean, behold, the men
which were sent from Comelius had made enquiry for
Simon's house, and stood before the gate,
Remember, these men are Gentiles. The men of Israel
considered them to be common or polluted.
Acts 10:18 And called, and asked whether Simon, which
was sumamed Peter, were lodged there. 1i. While Peter
thought on the vision, the Spirit said unto him, "Behold,
three men seek thee.
God's message to Peter is becoming very clear. There
are three men here to see you. Be attentive to them.
Acts 10:20 Arise therefore, and get thee down, and go
with them, doubting nothing: for I have sent them.· II
Then Peter went down to the men which were sent unto
him from Comelius; and said, "Behold, I am he whom
ye seek: what is the cause wherefore ye are come?"
No doubt Peter recognizes these men are Gentiles.
Acts 10:22 And they said, "Cornelius the centurion, a just
man, and one that feareth God, and of good report
among all the nation of the Jews, was wamed from God
by an holy angel to send for thee into his house, and
to hear words of thee."
Here we have our Greek word "chrematizo". God di­
vinely visited Cornelius, and warned him to send for Peter.
God's message to Peter is that he is no longer to call any
man common, or unclean. Anyone that believes on Jesus
Christ is a Christian, and will be treated accordingly.
Acts 10:23 Then called he them in, and lodged them. And
on the morrow Peter went away with them, and certain
brethren from Joppa accompanied him. 2J; And the morrow
after they entered into Caesarea. And Comelius waited
for them, and had called together his kinsmen and near
friends. ZIi And as Peter was coming in, Comelius met
him, and fell down at his feet, and worshipped him.
Cornelius knows Peter is a man of God, but Peter
won't stand for anyone worshipping him.
Acts 10:26 But Peter took him up, saying, "Stand up; I
myself also am a man." 21 And as he talked with him,
he went in, and found many that were come together.
The family and friends of Cornelius loved God. They
had no doubts. They were anxious to hear the Word.
Acts 10:28 And he said unto them, ·Ye know how that
it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to keep
company, or come unto one of another nation; but God
hath shewed me that I should not call any man common
or unclean.
That was the message God revealed to Peter. The
message had nothing to do with unclean animals now
being suitable to eat. Salvation was now open to anyone
who would believe on Jesus Christ. God is in control. He
warned Cornelius to send men for Peter. God revealed this
special message to Peter. Both received a divine intimate
visit from God. Tum with me to the Book of Hebrews.
Hebrews 8:1 Now of the things which we have spoken
this is the sum: We have such an High Priest, Who is
set on the rlght hand of the throne of the Majesty in the
eavens'
Jesus Christ ascended to the right hand of God's
throne. He is forever our Priest after the order of Melchizedek.
Hebrews 8:2 A Minister of the sanctuary, and of the true
tabemacle, which the LORD pitched, and not man.
Moses did a pretty good job, but he wasn't perfect.
The tabernacle Jesus pitched, that is to say His body,
was perfect. Don't ever doubt that He is perfect.
Hebrews 8:3 For every high priest is ordained to offer
gifts and sacrifices: wherefore it is of necessity that this
Man have somewhat also to offer.
Jesus offered Himself. He was the sacrifice for one
and all time. He made salvation available to all.
Hebrews 8:4 For if He were on earth, He should not be
a priest, seeing that there are priests that offer gifts
according to the law: .Ii Who serve unto the example and
shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished
of God when he was about to make the tabemacle: for,
"See,' saith He, "that thou make a/l things according to
the pattem shewed to thee in the mount."
Anyone care to hazard a guess what the word "ad_
monished" in this verse means? The Greek word from
which it is translated is "chrematizo". Moses was warned
of God concerning the tabernacle. He received a divine
intimate revelation from God concerning the tabernacle. In
conclusion, tum with me to Chapter eleven.
Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped
for, the evidence of things not seen. g For by it the elders
obtained a good report. 1 Through faith we understand
that the worlds were framed by the word of God,
so that things which are seen were not made of
things which do appear.
The world ages were framed by the Word of God.
Hebrews 11:4 By faith Abel offered unto God a more
excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness
that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by
it he being dead yet speaketh.
What Abel did speaks to us through God's Word.
Hebrews 11:5 By faith Enoch was translated that he
should not see death; and was not found, because God
had translated him: for before his translation he had this
testimony, that he pleased God.
Enoch preached against mixing with the fallen angels.
Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please
Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He
is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek
Him. z By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not
seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ari< to the
saving of his house; by the which he condemned the
world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by
faith. .
When God warned Noah, it wasn't raining, yet. Noah
immediately started work on the ark. Noah knew the rain
would come, because God warned Him through a divine
intimate visit. The flood of Satan's lies is coming (Rev.
12). It will last five months (Rev. 9). God has warned you.
