A few years ago I received a letter, an outraged scrawl, from a scientist who could not contain his indignation at the nonsense published in Bridges Magazine. Working on this issue I found myself imagining his furious reaction to the current array of articles. Henry David Thoreau wrote that, It takes two to speak the truth one to speak and another to hear. These authors are speaking truths that they have learned through their own direct experience, personal research, and decades of disciplined exploration. Most of us who read Bridges can hear their truths. In this issue our writers have something to say about a great variety of subjects that includes reality systems, steps to enlightenment, levels of consciousness, other forms of being, ancient ways of working with energies, the nature of our universe, and what it takes to live a whole life. As Peter Fairfield wrote, "...when the highest and most profound end points of knowledge are distilled down to essential truths, they all look pretty much the same," so although there is diversity in these articles, they concern the same essential truths. Discoveries in the field of subtle energies extend the range of our understanding beyond the material world known through the five physical senses. This kind of non-sense is not at odds with good, traditional scientific studies. It is half of our foundation for the knowledge and wisdom gained through centuries of exploration. Bridges Magazine is the partner publication to ISSSEEM's peer-reviewed Journal. Both our clinical and personal approach and their academic and scientific approach increase what we know about consciousness, healing, and subtle energies. Both are based on valid "ways of knowing" that can be combined to create a more complete understanding of the nature of reality.

In 1979, I experienced a full, spontaneous awakening of kundalini and in the chaotic early days of that transformation when my consciousness was totally out of my control, I had a series of experiences that I could not explain and I did not understand what to do with them. Kundalini is basically an awakening of consciousness and a complete reorganization of your energy body. When there is a full awakening, you can no longer sleep. The awakening of consciousness is exactly that an awakening and you are awake twentyfour hours a day, in my case for almost three years. In addition, consciousness was no longer limited to the physical body and the result was that frequently I was doing things and seeing or listening to what was going on elsewhere. The drive behind this ability was simple caring and curiosity. I would wonder how my mother was doing and suddenly, I was with her and could see for myself how she was! The fact that I was always awake was a great stress to me, and the frequent Out-of-Body-Experiences (OBEs) were an even bigger stressor since I had no metaphysical background and did not know what was going on. I simply tried to stay close to the body because I was afraid I would lose it. Every night I put myself to bed, hoping I would drop into the familiar blankness of sleep and dreams, but it didnt happen. After a while, bored, I would end up floating out of the body and up to the roof where I sat through the night, watching the animals, the water in the bay, the traffic on Jefferson Avenue, or the planes flying in and out of an Air Force base which was just a half mile down the street from our home. One night, I had been sitting on the roof for a while when I noticed three faint lights off in the distance. Here comes another plane, I thought, then gazed away absent-mindedly. A short time later, I wondered why I hadnt heard the sound of the incoming plane and looked in the direction of the three lights. They were closer, but now Page 3

they didnt look quite right. I wondered what kind of plane it was, and continued to watch until I realized it wasnt a plane at all. The three lights came closer and closer until they were directly above me and I saw that they were three beings of light brilliant light!

kept a bit of new wisdom about how to resolve frustration. I was amazed by this! When the visit was over, the three beings of light said I was welcome to stay, but I would have to, give up all of the ideas I held about a reality system and how it should operate. I thought about my children and said I didnt think I could stay. The beings did not seem disappointed or upset at all. They simply smiled and said we would all come to live there eventually. Then they brought me back to this Earth. I did not think much about all of this because many other unexplained things were going on at that time, but once in a while I would remember and wonder why Id had those experiences and why the place had looked so much like Earth. Now years later, when I wondered where I would go once I transcended life on Earth, I suddenly remembered those visits and the three beings. I also began to recall other comments made by various friends from other dimensions. I had been communicating with a group of elves on my farm for twenty years, and in the early days of that communication, I asked them why they were talking to me. Couple reasons, an elf named Alvey said. Biggest reason is because you are able to communicate with us! Beyond that, were afraid you guys will destroy the place and thatll be the end of us! None of us can go any further without you guys. Without what guys? I asked. You guysyou humans, he pointed out. Oh! I said, surprised, and then questioned him more deeply, What do you mean by go any further? To move onmove up, he replied in his saucy way. Then with a sweeping motion of his arm as if to include the trees, the flowers, and all living creatures he said, Were all in this together and we cant go any further without you guys. Page 4

...the thing that was most unusual was the fact that I recognized the place as Earth.
Two of them reached out their hands to me and said, Come with us. Not having anything else to do, I decided to go and reached up to take their hands. They took off, pulling me along with them, and it was all I could do to hang on. We were moving at a dizzying speed. I could see lights streaking by and I could barely open my eyes because the pressure of the acceleration was so great. After what seemed like a long time and a great distance, we slowed down and far away I could see a ball of light. As we drew closer, I saw that it was a planet, and soon we were slowly descending toward its surface. As we did so, every pebble, blade of grass, leaf, flower, and inhabitant was greeting me with overflowing love as if each knew me personally and was welcoming me like a member of the family. In turn, I was aware of everything every plant, every person, every building on the planet and was overjoyed at being home again. Everyone and everything was greeting me as if we were intimate friends that I knew and loved deeply.

On the first visit, the three beings took me on a tour of one of the cities and I was dazzled by the exuberant beauty and sparkling cleanliness that was everywhere, the grace and friendliness of the people, and the fact that I knew everyone so well. However, the thing that was most unusual was the fact that I recognized the place as Earth. Every detail of this unusual place was a duplicate of the Earth I lived on except that in this place there was no war or anger, no hurt or sorrow, no unhappiness of any kind. Everyone looked like perfectly normal humans, but no one was old or sick, disfigured, depressed, or crabby. About a month later the three beings of light came and got me again, taking me to the same place. On that visit, we went into the countryside where we walked through stunning gardens, forests, and fields of flowers where numerous wild animals lived and interacted peacefully with us. I remember stopping to look into a flower made of light, talking to birds and animals, and watching a gardener move a tree by communicating with it and asking it to move about 10 feet over which it did by dissolving and then reassembling itself in the spot the gardener was pointing to. I dont recall how long it was between the second and third visits. I just remember the three beings coming to get me, the incredible joy on the other planet, and one memorable incident. Here everyone was constantly aware of the thoughts and feelings of everyone and everything else. In the midst of their joy someone had a moment of intense frustration which was immediately picked up by every plant, animal and person. Instantly everyone turned their attention to the frustrated individual, filling him with love, encouragement, and healing light. Their focus did not shift away until, within a short time, the frustration was replaced by insight, understanding, and a return to inner peace. Then everyone went back to whatever they had been doing, but each 2012 Issue 1

trying to follow in their footsteps and make a leap into a new level of consciousness/energy that is organized differently, has new properties, opens the door to new tools and ways of being, and moves us in the direction of an eternal world. The truth is, we are all reaching for eternity. The task of any reality system is to evolve to become a heaven world, and each of us must begin to be aware of which actions nurture life and which lead to death. When everything we do nurtures life, we will have eternal life. The sudden interest in sustainable living is a perfect example of our recognition that we need to survive long enough to evolve ourselves and our world. As we move toward that goal, we must take everything in the system with us the whole planet. Thats why my friend Alvey said, We cant go any further without you guys. This is why the little men in brown robes hinted that there were other kinds of bodies with more value we have to evolve those bodies of light. To be enlightened means literally to develop a body of light. Personal transformation is important, but not so we can get out of here and leave the mess behind. Its important because were all in this together and each is carrying a gift that is needed in the new world. See you there! 2012 Penny L. The conversation stopped there because I didnt know what he was talking about and didnt want to appear stupid. But I didnt forget his words. Another piece was contributed by the Robes, a little group of men in brown robes. They insisted on showing me some pictures of the future and I was upset at the number of people who were dying in natural disasters. The Robes response was that the bodies we currently maintained were not of particularly high value. I was shocked at the bluntness of this comment, but it seemed to hint that there might be other kinds of bodies that held a higher value. The final piece of the puzzle was actually contributed by Jesus. We were having a conversation that was really more of an argument on my part. He asked me to re-write more than a half-dozen books that he had dictated for a group of religious fundamentalists. I did not want to be associated with fundamentalists or any kind of religious material. He held his ground and said that his entire message had been seriously distorted, needed to be renewed, and that I was the best one to renew it. I argued back saying, Religion is over and no one is going to read those books anyway! Its not over for everyone, he pointed out, and besides, how are you going to evolve yourselves and this place to create one of the heaven worlds if you dont know what the goals are? Suddenly, I began to understand. We live in a reality system. There are many other reality systems besides ours. Each system is held within a specific range of frequencies in mind/space and these frequencies are the basis of the energies and forms that exist in that system. Although some systems have forms of sentient life that would be unrecognizable to us, many have humanoid forms. The forms of life within any reality system always arise from the unique combination of frequencies that make up that system. When a civilization evolves and moves to higher frequencies, it isnt just the people who evolve, its the whole kit and caboodle the people, the flora and fauna, the whole planet. The goal of a reality system is to become an eternal world. Each individual human is born with unique gifts, interests, and passions. All of us and our gifts evolve and develop through a series of lifetimes until we hold a deep and intimate love as well as a thorough and powerful understanding of some aspect of life be that foods, animals, fibers, metals, children, music, architecture, or something else. We will then take this loving knowledge and passion with us as we leave the lowfrequency physical system behind and move into reality systems based on higher frequencies where we eventually earn the right to create. We take what we need to recreate the best of what is here on Earth. In this way, a reality system is able to be continuously re-created through her (I always think of them as feminine) highest and most intelligent natives, and eventually to enter the halls of eternity where nothing dies. In the language of many higher beings, such a world is called a heaven world, and there are many of them in the higher dimensions. That's where the three beings of light took me thirty years ago to Earth's heaven world. Many people are aware that there are beings here from other planets i.e. reality systems that are ready to help us reorganize our energies. Theyve already advanced their systems and thats why they have access to amazing forms of technology as well as exquisite management of consciousness. We are 2012 Issue 1

THE REDISCOVERY OF NEOLITHIC HEALING ENERGY

Neolithic monuments in Ireland date back to 6,000 BC,

the earliest being found in County Sligo in the north-west of the country. There are over 1,500 of these major constructions built by a highly

organized society and many of them remain unexcavated. Traditional archaeologists call them all tombs but many people question this since only small amounts of cremated bones have been found in the largest monuments or cairns. As one moves across the country in a south-easterly direction the design of the mounds becomes more sophisticated. I was trained as an electrical engineer and then became a research and development manager. One day it occurred to me that the progression of these monuments from the earliest in County Sligo to the later ones - such as Newgrange in County Meath -

represented the culmination of a massive research and development project. I believe that this development project started in Carrowmore, Sligo in 3550 B.C. where there is a large dolmen (a structure of standing stones) with a 30 ton capstone covered in a large mound of loose stones. Perhaps the builders considered that a larger mound would be even more effective and next Knocknarea was built with 70,000 tons of stones. From here the development may have moved to Carrowkeel with its mountain-top site in visual contact with Knocknarea. Here we see a large number of smaller cairns and the first sign of solar alignment. When the

features of the various sites are laid out in the tabular form seen below, some idea of the stages of development can be gained. It is clear that as one moves from Carrowmore to Newgrange, features such as solar alignment, layers of different kinds of materials and spiral designs on stones appear at various stages on this south-easterly journey. As I studied this progression it seemed to me that the only explanation of how and why these sites had added features as one moved in a south-easterly direction was that the builders were developing a form of energy concentration and that Newgrange, as the most sophisticated, was the pinnacle of this program of development. But before explaining this further, I must explain how my investigations began. In 2001 I attended the Prophets Conference in New York and was intrigued by Riane Eislers presentation about the ancient Minoan civilization that existed in Crete from 6,000 to 1,500 BC. The members of this highly evolved society shared their goods and resources and had no need for defenses. Men and women were equal and there was evidence of a society based on partnership. Eisler pointed out that later societies lost the partnership model possibly because of competition for scarce resources, and that we now operate with a dominator model in which people have to be threatened by force to behave in a way that respects the rights of others. It later occurred to me that Ireland possessed numerous ancient monuments and that none built before 1,500 BC had a defensive purpose. Although the people built massive constructions in stone none of them were forts. What was their purpose then? Newgrange has a passage leading into its center and every year on the winter solstice the sun illuminates the passage at sunrise shining in through a light box, an opening constructed above the entrance. Numerous rock carvings of spirals along with other designs are seen inside and on the surrounding

Comparison of features of the sites from Carrowmore to Newgrange London in 1973 was treated as if it had never taken place because it contradicted the work of Isaac Newton. Yet these theories of overcoming gravity could explain how the massive stones of Newgrange and later, Stonehenge, were moved and erected. Gravity is a very weak force but it is only a force, not an energy. It is easily overcome as can be seen, for example, when a helium balloon requires no energy to stay aloft. Energy can be transferred by the process of resonance and this could explain how massive stones were levitated. Einstein supported a theory of Earth Crust Displacement proposed by Charles Hapgood that suggested that in ancient times the crust of the earth had moved thereby displacing the poles by 30 degrees. This might account for the fear of ancient peoples that the sky would fall on their heads and their ancient monuments might have been designed to ensure that the sun would remain on its path. The winter solstice might have been a time to test whether the sun had stood still and was moving back north thus signalling that all was well for another year. The scientist James DeMeo has confirmed the work of Riane Eisler concerning ancient civilisations and that the onset of the dominator society was due to climate change and the scarcity of resources. He has also verified the work of Wilhelm Reich who proposed the orgone theory of subtle energy. Page 7

The spiral often is a symbol for the connection between outer and inner space with the inward direction representing contact with universal energy and information, so perhaps the passage was used by the shamans of that time to advise the people on important issues. Meditating in the passage with its sensory deprivation might have been a very effective practice. A number of researchers have also shown that it resonates to the frequency of chanting and might have been used to encourage trance states. The spiral is also recognized in physics as having fundamental properties. James Clerk Maxwell devised his vortex atom theory based on the demonstrations by Lord Kelvin of smoke rings, a toroidal form of the spiral. Victor Schauberger developed his implosion theories based on the concept of energy being forced to spin in a spiral formation and because of the conservation of angular momentum being forced to spin faster and faster until, as Schauberger said, it entered higher dimensions. Russian scientists have been studying these ideas for many years and have recognised the existence of torsion fields which accompany electromagnetic radiations of all frequencies. The experiments on torsion fields have also shown anomalies in gravitational attraction and are claimed to support the existence of psychic effects. Reich developed orgone accumulators using alternate layers of organic and inorganic material and claimed successes in using them for healing. Interestingly, Newgrange uses this same structure with layers of sods interspersed with layers of stones. When Professor Michael J. OKelly of University College, Cork, carried out his excavations at Newgrange he stated that, The mound had a layered structure consisting of stones interspersed with layers of turves. Where the turf layers occurred they were separated by thick layers of loose stones with no soil in the interstices. No archaeologist has given any credible explanation for this form of construction which seems to have evolved as the constructions moved south-east from Sligo to Meath. Knowth has seventeen satellite mounds which might have been prototypes for testing different forms of construction. However, Newgrange is now damaged. Recent restoration work on the mound (now a world heritage site and a major tourist attraction) has involved stabilising the structure with concrete and other modern materials. Much of the structure of the alternate layers has been destroyed and Newgrange can no longer function as a healing or subtle energy device. But where can we go from here? I have chronicled my researches over eight years and I hope that scientists will look again at how they evaluate new discoveries or ideas - especially where subtle energy effects are involved. 2012 Kieran Comerford

WHO ARE WE? WHERE ARE WE? AND WHAT THE HECK ARE WE DOING HERE?

Few of us have a clear understanding of our place in the universe or our purpose in this life. We might be able to construct an idea of our purpose or imagine our place, but these creative voyages do not bring the certainty that a direct experience does. Yet such experiences are within the grasp of anyone who seeks them within the gentle stillness that resides in each of us. The complexity and sophistication of our current world has offered answers to these questions, but they have usually taken us further away from the truth. It is more helpful for us to explore the nature of reality for ourselves to see how things really are. If asked, most of us would say that the nature of reality is something we rarely think about, but we do and often! Any time we question the purpose of our lives, wonder if it is all worth it, or

are surprised when something lost or unexpected appears out of the blue, we are peering beneath the veil, touching our connection to a greater reality. The thing that is most interesting to me about our search for answers is that in the end everyone seems to find the same answers. The vocabularies and symbols may differ greatly, but when the highest and most profound end points of knowledge are distilled down to essential truth, they all look pretty much the same. The material world though pleasurable, difficult, and complex, is lacking any lasting substance. Time and space are only limited constructs designed by us so we can traverse our concrete world. There is an infinite reality beyond the material world, a reality that is the basis for all we know and that is

consciousness that is now changing the world from the inside, despite how unlikely it may look from the outside. W h e n Ni e l s B o h r a n d o t h e r physicists started paying close attention to subatomic particles in the 1930s, they noticed that the particles seemed to move into and o u t o f r e a l i t y. L a t e r o n , t h e y discovered that if you paid attention to the particles, they stayed right where they were, as if they sensed you. This is called the Quantum Zeno Effect and was first stated in 1977 by George Sudarshan and Baidyanath Misra. The initial explanation for this is less mystical than it sounds: you cannot measure speed and location at the same time. This becomes even more complex because many of the particles are actually moving in and out of our reality. To me this means that if the subatomic particles that are the basis of our material reality respond to thought, intent, and consciousness, then we as conscious beings can (and do) create reality and the life we are living right now and in every instant. To make sense of the idea that the universe responds to us, it is useful to let go of the concepts of size and time. Imagine that everything in the entirety of creation is just energy and light, and remember that you are too. The energy that is you is part of the whole without any kind of separation and even, at this level, without individuality except the point of awareness that is us. Play with this idea for a while. See where you go. Developing a personal interaction with this bigger reality becomes really interesting when we finally decide to experiment with it. Certainly when the time comes to leave out bodies we will come face to face with it, but in the meantime, it is a vitally interactive source that we can consciously call upon whenever we need help (were already doing that all the time anyway). Eventually our need to ask disappears as Page 10

beyond what most of us think we can experience, or even imagine. The Tibetans use the Sanskrit word Alaya, which translates roughly as, the ground from which all arises. Many spiritual traditions describe this underlying reality from which all things are made and many also describe the material world as an illusion, real if we touch or interact

possibilities of our multi-verse, the outcomes were unpredictable. Physics has not yet fully caught up to the reality that it has been attempting to describe. The idea of infinity is not just a fanciful notion. When we move beyond the illusory limitations of the sphere of awareness that we usually live in, the possibilities are also infinite. Let me give you an example of this, again from

with it, but lacking a finite existence if we break things down far enough to look at their essential structure. An acquaintance of mine, Steve, used to work in the physics department of UCLA. He and I had several great talks. He spoke from the viewpoint of theoretical physics; my perspective came from knowledge of advanced Buddhist cosmology and other spiritual disciplines. One evening Steve and I were discussing the idea of infinity in his kitchen over several bottles of an interesting Malbec. You know, he said, When we take infinity out of the equations, things are coherent and make sense, but if we include infinity, it shoots everything to hell. He went on to explain that as long as he and his colleagues kept their experiments tangible, the outcomes followed suit. If they included diverse physics. We all have a passing knowledge of the immense power locked within the atomic worlds. The terrible bombs dropped in Japan were small and relatively low-tech, yet the energy locked within those footballsized chunks of uranium was able to destroy whole cities. What Niels Bohr first proclaimed and most modern physicists agree on is that there is more free energy locked within a single centimeter of empty space (vacuum) than there is in all the matter in the universe. This is sometimes referred to as zero point energy. When I first read that, my mind stopped for several days. The meaning and the immensity of it astounded me. This was my friend Steves ironic point that when we remove infinity from the equation, we may keep a certain order, but we also miss the most important point. is that my documents appeared out of nowhere, pulled from the universe that responded to my request. we gradually accept our complete coherence with the big picture. The basis of this concept has been the central theme of a number of recent books that say that if you focus on something, you can and eventually will get it. This is true. However, if a part of us wants something and another part is afraid of that same something, then the great quantum universe attends to the tonal resonance of both voices that in a very real sense cancel each other out. Thats where confusion comes in.

As we get used to just being ourselves and being present in the moment, the path of life widens and progresses. We wake up and can allow things to happen rather than forcing them. We no longer need to manipulate what we consider our reality. What can we expect then? When we begin to experiment and live from this idea of an interactive living universe, very surprising things can happen. It is deeply reassuring to know that we are never alone and never unsupported. When we trust this in our hearts. We are at the door of what I call Deep Happy. Heres an example: I had an old rusty red Dodge pickup truck that I used for hauling and moving. It had been sitting in my driveway for almost a year because I could not find the registration documents. Every month or so, I

looked through every drawer and file in my house. Usually it was the same drawers and files, but also everywhere and anywhere else I could think of. It was my monthly bout of infuriation. Finally I decided to try a new tactic. I remembered that I could let the universe solve the problem. I literally said, Okay universe, bring me the papers or show me where they are. In my mind I just let the whole thing go. Several days later I drove my station wagon into town. I had completely emptied the car of all trash before I left and had also gone to a car wash where the car was completely cleaned inside and out. I bought groceries and put them in a cardboard box from the store, carried the box out to the car, put it in the now very clean rear cargo section, and drove straight home. As soon as I pulled into my driveway, I parked the car, went around and opened the back, and lifted up the box of groceries. There, underneath the box was the registration to the red pickup truck. It was the same document that I had lost the year before. Stunned and amazed, I stood smiling and shaking my head. There are only two explanations for what had happened, but neither of them makes a lot of sense. Please keep in mind that this really happened.

One explanation is that someone found my registration, somehow knew where I was parked, picked the lock on my car, and put the registration papers in the middle of my cargo section which I did not notice when I put the box of groceries down. The second explanation

detectors seem to be the most useful when used properly, as there is the greatest correlation to the experiences of people in the environment. But the key is when used properly. People experience these things, people report them, and people need help with them. We define a ghost or apparition as a form of consciousness, and understanding what that is or might be is still up in the air as far as mainstream science is concerned. I think that the only way to study consciousness, whether of the living or the dead, is through the experiences of people. Parapsychology is primarily a social science, though we try to bring in measuring tools of the physical sciences. The best evidence still comes from people who witness the phenomena. I have found that it is important to look for non-paranormal explanations for both the overall case you investigate and for the individual events reported by the people involved. Question everything. Look around carefully. Be observant. Keep in mind that cases are rarely so cut and dried that everything reported or experienced is either paranormal or normal. Also realize that some explanations can be rather bizarre without being paranormal. Parapsychologists and psychical researchers established three main categories of what have often been considered ghostly happenings. The three are different conceptually, but events around each can appear similar and can even display unique combinations of all the phenomena. What I call the big three are apparitions, hauntings, and poltergeists. In shortened form they are spirits, recordings, and living agent psychokinesis. An apparition is our personality (or spirit, soul, consciousness, mind or whatever you want to call it) surviving the death of the body and capable of interaction with the living (and presumably, other apparitions). Apparitions are seen, heard, felt, smelled (thankfully, not tasted) by people through the process of

host stories seem to be a part of every culture, everywhere on the planet. While the interpretations of what ghosts are vary, in most cultures they are spirits of the deceased. Beliefs about the motivations of ghosts range from their existing as guardians of the living to their being messengers of the evil one - whoever that happens to be in the particular culture.

Not all people see ghosts as instead some hear their voices, footsteps or other movements while some smell perfume or cigar smoke or other odors associated with the person the ghost was when alive. Others may feel presences or even feel touch or contact. I have been doing field investigations of experiences we call apparitions, ghosts, poltergeists and more since 1979. People are my favorite detectors first because you can have a conversation, ask questions, and get answers; then because the phenomenon is defined by human experience; and finally because there is no equipment in existence designed to pick up anything paranormal since we dont exactly know what to try to look for. While some amateurs dismiss learning from the past with a Well, what have they learned with their methods over the last 100 years its time for a change attitude, there is actually quite a lot to learn from the existing literature. There are good ghost stories here, but more than that, there are descriptions of techniques that can actually help resolve the problems people often have with such experiences. Also, learn about psychic experiences and abilities. Ignoring what has been learned in parapsychology can mean wasting time rediscovering what is already known or could mean heading down the path of misunderstanding the phenomena. You might also learn about how human perception works and a bit about the psychology of suggestion and deception. Perhaps you could pick up a book on sleight-of-hand magic and stage illusions. telepathic communication. The model of an apparition is that it is consciousness without form. As the apparition has no form, and no sensory organs or normal ability to communicate, he or she essentially perceives the environment through psychic (direct consciousness) means and connects to the minds of living people to be perceived or communicate. The apparition essentially broadcasts sensory information (what he or she looks, sounds, feels, and smells like) to the minds of us living folk. Our brains/minds process the signals and add them to what our normal senses are picking up. Some people do better with visual input, some with auditory or other kinds of information. Some can process combinations.

However, unlike a poltergeist case where the phenomena are caused by a person, a haunting is received by people. Hauntings actually show that we are all psychic receivers (clairvoyant) to some degree. Ever walk into a house and get a feel for its vibes (the house feels good or bad)? Of course, that feeling could be because of normal perceptions maybe the dcor is nice or off but you also may be psychically perceiving emotions and events embedded in the environment. The events and figures witnessed in hauntings tend to be repetitive both in whats experienced and when they occur (at approximately the same time). Speaking with these ghosts tends to do no good, because they just continue to go about their business, as though youre not even there. In other words, theyre essentially holograms instead of conscious beings capable of interacting.

The term poltergeist can be traced back hundreds of years, but has come to represent something very different from the literal translation of the German word for noisy ghost. In poltergeist cases, physical effects are the central theme, including movements and levitations, appearances and disappearances of objects, unusual behavior of electrical appliances, unexplained knockings and other sounds, and temperature changes with all combinations possible as well. The model we work from is called recurrent spontaneous psychokinesis or RSPK. It is psychokinesis that occurs without conscious control, and happens over and over again. The poltergeist is typically caused by the mind of a living agent, generally someone in the household undergoing emotional and/or psychological stress. The agents are people who typically have no method of dealing with the stress on any normal level, so the subconscious blows off steam by taking advantage of the psychokinetic (mind

The house or building or land somehow records its history, with the more emotion-laden events and experiences coming through louder and stronger. That people mostly report negative events and emotions such as those around suicides, murders, violent crimes, or emotional fights is likely due to a reporting artifact rather than to any unbalanced ratio of negative to positive events. That Extra Terrestrial (ET) contact is real is a non-issue for more than half of the worlds nuclear-capable countries but only for a highly select group of people within those countries.
France and the United Kingdom (members of the European Space agency), Russia, China, India, and the United States have placed photo and radar imaging satellites around the moon and have already seen ET bases on its avert side. In New Delhi, I had a very guarded conversation with a government space scientist. The walls of his office had a number of highresolution photographs from Indias lunar satellite, Chandrayaan-1 (moon vehicle in Sanskrit). These photographs were from the more than 70,000 threedimensional images taken by the Terrain Mapping Camera. He comfortably deflected my suggestions that India may have learned much more than they had shared with the public. We are on the brink of challenging the worlds consensus reality. I believe with high confidence that one specific seminal event will take place in 2012, although the date of this event is not currently known. This is because of the large number of variables associated with it, and the powerful energy focused upon it by groups with opposing desires and intentions. The emotional field that surrounds it is enormous as vested interests compete to achieve their goals. The event will be an unambiguous disclosure that from the most ancient times, and very specifically in the modern era, earth and extraterrestrial cultures have been in intimate contact. Disclosure will present the world with a great challenge because the opposing interests might take advantage of the cultural mindset that views ETs as a threat to us accompanied by invasion, war, and the end of our planet. and science fiction books have long presented us with images of disaster in the wake of contact by other beings, images that fuel dangerous assumptions and might initiate harmful action. It has become part of the human predicament that we all too often view the other, ANY other, as a hostile force that must be defeated. But the truth is that this contact holds great promise for all of us. Advanced technologies that might solve some of our problems could be supplied by far-advanced civilizations. For example, they might provide us with the means to produce sufficient, sustainable energy that would allow us to stop warring over our diminishing supplies and to give up our reliance on polluting methods for producing power. A close friend, John Petersen, with high credentials as a bold and rational futurist, (yes, that is an authorized combination) in a forward to the recently published book Infinite Energy Technologies, has written about the vital importance of access to energy: In physical terms, there is no more fundamental and basic influence on the way we live and behave than the availability and form of energy that we use. Every aspect of our lives, food, clothing, shelter and transportation . . . and therefore every derivative activity (work, government, recreation, etc.) changes when the affordable source of energy changes. Last year, Carol Rosin asked me to join her in creating a treaty designed to keep space free from nuclear weapons. It stated, in part: The Outer Space Security and Development Treaty of 2012 establishes a framework and procedures to assure that space will be a neutral realm from which all classes of weapons are banned and from which no hostile action shall be taken toward Earth or the surrounding Cosmos. This Treaty invites Nation States to become Signatories to this Treaty and invites all parties, including Nation States, Indigenous Nations and Cosmic Cultures, to commit to plan and assist in the orderly development and implementation of a framework and procedures that will assure and verify that space is and will remain a neutral

realm from which all classes of space-based weapons are banned in perpetuity. This is followed by very specific reasons for Cosmic Cultures to be involved and the Treaty states that we, *Acknowledge that we are not alone in the universes, that there are Cosmic Cultures that will be important allies for our security and development, and that our national and international policies must reflect this reality, *Acknowledge that from the beginning of nuclear weapons testing, extraterrestrial craft have demonstrated a capability to selectively shut down communications and/or the power of participating operational units, and have appeared over ICBM fields in several countries causing non-destructive failure of dozens of ICBMs taking them out of operational status for days, *Realize that the demonstrated capability of extraterrestrial cultures from the multiverse to neutralize any missile or nuclear capability is in itself not a threat message, but does serve notice of our limited understanding of physics and the clearly dangerous consequences of continuing to use destructive technologies, *Affirm that the possibility of reclaiming a peaceful future for humankind and a safe environment on Earth is intimately linked with curbing our violence toward each other and Earth, and with preparing to survive as Gaea heals herself, and that counsel and support from Cosmic Civilizations thousands of years our senior would be exceedingly helpful.

This position already has support from a number of powerful nations, and it provided an opportunity to introduce an ET element in a positive way. The ETs have the technology to verify whether any satellite launched from Earth carries a weapon or is associated with targeting or launching a weapon from space. The idea to make Cosmic Cultures parties to the treaty was given as a gentle thought and I credit Monitor, who is channeled by Harvey Grady, for the idea. Monitor has identified himself as a Pleiadean, a member of an extraterrestrial group willing to communicate with Earth. I regard him as a highly sentient being with interest and

concern about the future of planet Earth and all the life it supports. That is the basis of trust in our relationship. My broader ET experiences and relationships span my eightythree years and include important contacts with the so-called Grays, both the tall and short types. When I have presented the treaty to various countries for their consideration, several obvious issues arose. The first, almost predictably concerned evidence of the reality of ETs, and their contact with earth. Closely following that were concerns about trust and true intentions of cultures with such superior technologies. I consider the inclusion of Cosmic Cultures as parties to the Space Treaty to be an essential component to make the Treaty a viable and verifiable instrument. It also will be more than a small step towards disclosure when the first nation signs the Treaty, and there are other steps being proposed on this path. It is not reasonable to expect the U.S. to make a disclosure announcement unless forced by the ETs, or until the current policy of silence, denial and disinformation becomes dysfunctional and the U.S. is no longer garnering the profit and power that the current policy supports. Additionally, there is a considerable probability that if the U.S. does make a disclosure announcement, it will be with a threat spin attached. The earth deserves better than this, and I have a short list of countries that I think can do the job. The first two on the list are China and India. For more than twenty-years I have been in a dialogue with China, urging them to take a lead in disclosure. The last serious discussion I had with a member of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs ended with his comment, When

the United States makes the disclosure announcement, China will be a close second. Very recently I have passed to China an additional proposal, another gift from the ETs. If China or any other nuclear power is willing to eliminate all weapons of mass destruction in their military inventory, the ETs will provide that country with a nation-wide, non-polluting energy system and security from all threats of attacks by weapons of mass destruction. From a disclosure perspective this weapons for energy and security offer is much more powerful than the space treaty partnership with the ETs. For example, if Pakistan accepted that proposal it would neutralize any nuclear threat from India, and make India much more concerned about what that means vis-a-vis a nuclear deterrence with China. This raises the potential of a cascade of accepting the energy for weapons offer within a region of nuclear power nations. The ETs are certainly mindful of the multifaceted political, economic social, religious and other consequences of disclosure to Earth. However, it now appears that they are pushing the issue for reasons that are very clear to them, and less so for most humans. A reasonable explanation is that Earth is approaching a cycle of well-known geo-physical events involving massive earthquakes and volcanic activity, and the message is that you are going to need each other in cooperative ways to assure that the Earth experiment is not extinguished. unconscious, but I was fully awake and I was on the other side. Elmer might add that even though we might not be aware of it, we all spend half our lives on the other side - when we are sleeping. At first, in the four or five minutes when his body was unconscious, he had to find out whether it was dead. The answer he received when he asked was that he was not yet dead and that he could choose whether or not to go on with his life. He thought about papers he had been writing and decided that he wanted to stay to complete them. As soon as he made that decision he heard clearly that he should wake up, get up, and close the front door. It turned out that the fall had caused more damage to the body than he knew and after a few days, he had to go to the hospital. That was the beginning of a very strange time. He found out later that he was diagnosed with intensive care psychosis. Elmer says that term doesnt explain anything and that part of what was really happening was that he was floating around above his body. He described being able to go everywhere in the hospital and see everyone. Some people he could talk to but 99 out of 100 could not respond. Once in a while, when he met somebody who could hear him they might have a conversation. He would ask what they were planning and then let them know that if they wanted to, they could get back into their bodies. Some told him that they were trying to leave but couldnt get rid of the physical form. Elmer would ask if they knew whether it was time for them to leave and if they said yes, hed explain that they needed to surround their bodies with golden light and make this request: May that which is best for everyone, may that come about. Sometimes that means going forward into death. While this was going on with his mind, other things were going on with his body. Elmer said that the brain is a machine and with the fall it had been so jarred that its circuits were all mixed Page 17

Elmer Green first had contact with the other side when he was three years old. He has been teaching - in one way or another - that we would ALL do well to learn something about that side. He says that the real truth is that we dont die. The body dies, but we go on. So the title of this article is not quite right. It really should be, What To Do When Your Body Is Dead. He experienced a serious fall that has prompted him to add to what he has been advising for so many years. Here, what he has said himself appears within quotation marks, and the rest is my interpretation of our recent conversations. One evening in November he was rushing into his house while carrying some heavy bottles of water when the toe of his rubber shoe caught on the threshold. He had a lot of forward momentum and he went straight out hitting his head on the rug-covered cement floor of the hallway. It knocked him out and he found himself immediately on the other side. up. He was talking from a high level of consciousness but the transmission was scrambled and what he was saying did not make sense to the people around him. His ability to instruct his body also faltered and he had to tell it exactly what to do, detail by detail, so that he could walk or move his hands and arms again. Gradually his body remembered what to do on its own. Elmer teaches that we have two minds a this-side consciousness and an other-side consciousness. The brain and the physical body manufacture a material reality for their own purposes and although it is real, it is only one of many possible realities. When you have advanced spiritually enough so that you can access higher levels of consciousness, you can perceive other dimensions and your understanding of the nature of reality changes completely. In The Ozawkie Book Of The Dead Elmer said, When the mental-emotional-physical structure called the personality drops the physical structure at death, the mental-emotional structure that remains, called the soul, is the out-ofthe-body body in which we previously found ourselves in dreams. In other words, when we have a body the world is in the conscious and dreams are in the unconscious, but when we die, everything is reversed. The physical world becomes the unconscious and what we now call dreams become the conscious. Thats why its important to become a lucid dreamer so youll know your way around when you get there. He also wrote that, ...human problems in this world and in the next world are so remarkably similar that it is useful to develop certain abilities of mind and emotion in advance. After his fall Elmer had some experiences that have made him even more blunt in his advice: Everyone Must Wake Up NOW! The Earth is going through a process as a long, dark period of time called the

problems and we become tangled in emotions that sidetrack us from our spiritual journeys. Using the example of the holy beggars in India, Elmer has described that they turn their begging bowls upside down to signal that they are no longer trapped by physical needs. They have separated themselves from the distractions of the world and have freed themselves from emotional entanglements. However, like all of us, they must still develop their minds to continue their spiritual journeys. When we meditate we learn about the mind and different levels of consciousness. The way to move ahead spiritually, the Tibetan said, is to meditate and to fast. Elmer said that the reason fasting is important is because the feedback neurology from the GI tract is so powerful that the brain doesnt have a chance to get clear of distracting signals, and that makes deep meditation difficult. Then the next step is what Elmer called the magic step: at night you say, All right, I am going to go to sleep and part of the time Im going to be out of my body and I want consciousness to come. You use your clear intention and focused effort to become conscious of dreaming while in the dream state. This brings in the profound realization that you do indeed have two minds. There can be great confusion when we leave our physical bodies. We may doubt that we are dead because we are still conscious. We may not know where we are and we may not know what to do. If we can follow Elmers advice to wake up while we are dreaming, if we can learn that both this side and the other side are real, we will be able to find our way in whatever level of consciousness we find ourselves. Its no easy task, certainly not done in a weekend workshop, but we can all choose which way to go. We can choose whether to wake up and go vertical or to remain in the dark. And That, Elmer would say, is what it s all about. 2012 Celia Coates Page 18

Kali Yuga ends. Elmer said that the way the teacher called the Tibetan put it is that as we come out of the Kali Yuga we have the opportunity to stay with the Earth and move ahead spiritually. But, if we dont do this intentionally we will be stuck, trapped in the Kali Yuga darkness for a very, very long time. Monitor, channeled by Harvey Grady, has said, We are not going to fight the dark side. The light side will grow up and people will start moving toward it. If you want to move toward the light side, Elmer said, you have to wake up to the truth that you have these two minds and you have to figure out other-side consciousness now.

We can choose whether to wake up and "go vertical" or to remain in the dark.
Years ago Elmer had a dream about a friend, a guy who worked with him as the foreman of a group at Minneapolis Honeywell that was manufacturing telescopes for the Army. In the dream his friend was going around and around and around the Earth. And all of a sudden he could hear Elmer say to him, Now its time for you to go vertically instead of round and round. Two years later, in another dream, Elmer could see that his friend had finally turned and gone up and away from the planet instead of circling it endlessly. Elmer says it is now time for all of us to go vertical, to advance spiritually and to stop the unceasing round of attachment to material existence. One of the things that can help us to stop circling is to disentangle ourselves from emotion. Each one of us, when we are born, is perfect and when we are very young we know what is True. But as time goes by we keep getting instructions from our parents and everybody else about what is real and important. Then we begin to have 2012 Issue 1
