EXECUTIVE SUMMARY/ ABSTRACT: In todays world professional education has become an indispensible part of our life. NIIT is a leading Global Talent Development Corporation, building a skilled manpower pool for global industry requirements. NIIT in India has recently increase their customers by the help of their product GNIIT (Software Engineering). Due to the economical rates and skimming of the lots of brands available in the scenario, it is nearly present in all the sections of the society. GNIIT (Software Engineering) in NIIT provides immense potential for the growth and expansion due to immense increase in the customer base with the passage of time. Hence to make the most out of the growing IT students customer base, it is important for the IT Institute to understand the consumer behavior by understand the motivating factors influencing the buying decision of the consumers. Our project deals with understanding the motivational factors underlying the buying decision by the Students in the IT education in India. In India due to diverse attitudes and preferences, a number of motivational factors influence the purchase decisions. In our project we have taken a sample of respondents from almost all locations of Greater Noida, Delhi and NCR. I take immense pleasure in completing this project and submitting the final project report. The last one and half month with NIIT has been full of learning and sense of contribution towards the organization. I would like to thank NIIT giving me this opportunity for learning and contributing. I take this opportunity to thank all those people who made this experience a memorable one. The need of study is that NIIT (GNIIT Software Engineering) is the professional computer training and education so it needs to study the market as where are they lacking in grasping the market. Since the no. of students joining NIIT (GNIIT Software Engineering) is low as comparison to previous year so they wanted to know where are the short comings in their courses and programs. The comparative study has been needed to know how the other institutes are managing in getting the market share. The research methodology is the specification of method of acquiring the information needed to structure or solve the problem. It is not considered to be the decision of facts but also building up the data knowledge and to discover the new fact involved through the process in the dynamic change in the society. Mostly students those are doing this course who are under graduate and also very less percentage of post graduate students. Most of the respondents are doing course in NIIT and Jetking so mostly students are preferred these two institutions. In this students are studying from NIIT are more satisfied with their institute, whereas HCL and JET KING are lacking behind in satisfying their students. As a part of a big brand NIIT should make efforts to provide good job opportunities for all type students like average student who have not good academics. IT institutes should focus on preparing the students in practical more, it should give a more stress on practical knowledge. of students as the affordability of students is low as most of students prefer cheaper courses. Eligibility The GNIIT program is meant for students who have passed out of Class XII or are currently attending college. LIMITATIONS IN RESEARCH All efforts have been made to make the study a complete and comprehensive survey of the consumer and dealers perception. All efforts have been made so that the study presents a true picture of the of the IT industry. But still there can be some limitations and errors in the research. Since the survey was done only in Greater Noida and Delhi NCR, the result obtained may not be taken as universal suggestion. Quality of the information highly dependent on the knowledge and mindset of the respondents.

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY The research methodology is the specification of method of acquiring the information needed to structure or solve the problem. It is not considered to be the decision of facts but also building up the data knowledge and to discover the new fact involved through the process in the dynamic change in the society. GEOGRAPHICAL AREA: The study is conducted in Greater Noida and Delhi NCR PERIOD OF COVERAGE: The duration of project work is about 6 weeks. RESEARCH DESIGN: The research design is a pattern or an outline of the research projects working, it is a statement of only the essential elements study, those that provide the basic guidelines for the details of the project. Further a research design is an arrangement of conditions for collection and analysis of data in that aim to combine relevance to research purpose with economy in procedure. It constitutes the blueprint for collection, measurement and analysis of data. Research design stands 26 | P a g e

for advance planning of the methods to be opted for collecting the relevant data and the techniques to be used in their analysis, keeping in view of the objectives of their research. The research design used in this project by the researcher is the descriptive research design. Descriptive research design: Determining the relationship between two or more variables. It is well structured. It is more economical, we can gather more information. Problems can be found after the questionnaire preparation. It needs less time.

SAMPLE DESIGN: A sample design is a definite plan for obtaining a sample from a given population. It refers to the technique or the procedure the researcher would adopt in selecting items for the sample. Population: Population for this research is set of students those who are doing different- different computer courses from different- different institutions in Greater Noida and Delhi NCR Sample units: Sampling units used by the researcher is that, every single student who is doing different computer courses from different institution. Sample size: The number of samples collected by the researcher is 50. Sampling procedure / Sampling method: The sampling method used for this study is convenience sampling, which is selected according to the easy and convenience of the researcher. 27 | P a g e

METHOD OF DATA COLLECTION Primary data: The researcher collected both by direct survey from the students through questionnaire. The researcher used structured non-disguised questionnaire. Secondary data: Here the researcher collected secondary data from the company profile, industry profile and official web sites. RESEARCH INSTRUMENT: Research instrument used for data collecting is questionnaire. Questionnaire: The questionnaire is prepared in a well-structured and non-disguised form so that it is easily understandable and answerable by everyone. The type of questions include in the questionnaire are multiple choice questions and dichotomous question.

FINDINGS Mostly students those are doing this course who are under graduate and also very less percentage of post graduate students. Most of the respondents are doing course in NIIT and Jetking so mostly students are preferred these two institutions. In this students are studying from NIIT are more satisfied with their institute, whereas HCL and JET KING are lacking behind in satisfying their students. SUGGESTION 1. As a part of a big brand NIIT should make efforts to provide good job opportunities for all type students like average student who have not good academics. 2. IT institutes should focus on preparing the students in practical more, it should give a more stress on practical knowledge. 3. NIIT should reduce the prices the of the courses so that it can attract more no of students as the affordability of students is low as most of students prefer cheaper courses. CONCLUSION It has been concluded from the research that : 1. As GNIIT has good in computer training market so it needs to set a target segment which are under graduate students. 2. It has been concluded that NIIT is having a good position in the market. In order to grasp the whole market it has to make certain changes in its programs so that it can attract more no of students. 3. GNIIT is a part of NIIT brand so it should use its brand image to take an edge over others.
