Telecommunications - Telecommunications, also called telecommunication, is the exchange of information over significant distances by electronic means. A complete, single telecommunications circuit consists of two stations, each equipped with a transmitter and a receiver. The transmitter and receiver at any station may be combined into a single device called a transceiver. The medium of signal transmission can be electrical wire or cable (also known as "copper"), optical fiber or electromagnetic fields. The free-space transmission and reception of data by means of electromagntetic fields is called wireless. It can also refer to the collection of such tools, machinery, modifications, arrangements and procedures. Technologies significantly affect human as well as other animal species' ability to control and adapt to their natural environments. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Technology Social Networking Sites - Abbreviated as SNS a social networking site is the phrase used to describe any Web site that enables users to create public profiles within that Web site and form relationships with other users of the same Web site who access their profile. Social

networking sites can be used to describe community-based Web sites, online discussions forums, chatrooms and other social spaces online. http://www.webopedia.com/TERM/S/social_networking_site.html Interpersonal Relationship - An interpersonal relationship is the nature of interaction that occurs between two or more people. People in an interpersonal relationship may interact overtly, covertly, face-to-face or even anonymously. Interpersonal relationships occur between people who fill each other's explicit or implicit physical or emotional needs in some way. Your interpersonal relationships may occur with friends, family, co-workers, strangers, chat room participants, doctors or clients. http://www.livestrong.com/article/229362-what-is-the-meaning-of-interpersonalrelationship/ Application program - An application program (sometimes shortened to application) is any program designed to perform a specific function directly for the user or, in some cases, for another application program. Examples of application programs include word processors; database programs; Web browsers; development tools; drawing, paint, and image editing programs; and communication programs. Application programs use the services of the computer's operating system and other supporting programs. Computer - Technically, a computer is a programmable machine. This means it can execute a programmed list of instructions and respond to new instructions that it is given. http://www.techterms.com/definition/computer Facebook - Facebook is a social networking website that was originally designed for college students, but is now open to anyone 13 years of age or older. Facebook users can create and customize their own profiles with photos, videos, and information about themselves. Friends can browse the profiles of other friends and write messages on their pages. Each Facebook profile has a "wall," where friends can post comments. Since the wall is viewable by all the user's friends, wall postings are basically a public conversation. Therefore, it is usually best not to write personal messages on your friends' walls. Instead, you can send a person a private message, which will show up in his or her private Inbox, similar to an e-mail message. Facebook allows each user to set privacy settings, which by default are pretty strict http://www.techterms.com/definition/facebook Twitter - Twitter is a service that allows people to stay connected with each other by answering the basic question, "What are you doing?" Once you sign up for a Twitter account, you can post your own updates, or "tweets," using a computer or cell phone. You can also view the updates posted by other users you are following. Since each tweet is limited to 140 characters or less, the updates must be short and sweet. However, you may twitter as often as you want, meaning there is no limit on how much information you can share. http://pc.net/glossary/definition/twitter

Digital - Digital information is stored using a series of ones and zeros. Computers are digital machines because they can only read information as on or off -- 1 or 0. This method of computation, also known as the binary system, may seem rather simplistic, but can be used to represent incredible amounts of data. CDs and DVDs can be used to store and play back high-quality sound and video even though they consist entirely of ones and zeros. http://www.techterms.com/definition/digital Internet - The Internet, sometimes called simply "the Net," is a worldwide system of computer networks - a network of networks in which users at any one computer can, if they have permission, get information from any other computer (and sometimes talk directly to users at other computers). http://searchwindevelopment.techtarget.com/definition/Internet
