SHOW CAUSE NOTICE
The APPSC has conducted the Group-I prelims examination on 27th May 2012 and
announced the list of eligible candidates qualified for the Mains Exam. Subsequently as per
orders of Honble APAT, the key was published and there were objections to this key. After
verification of all objections received the final answer key was published on 2nd Sep 2012. As
per this key the cut off mark is 91 and total of 845 candidates are proposed to be deleted from
the list of eligible candidates announced earlier as they failed to secure the cut off marks as per
the final answer key. The list of such candidates and the show cause notice is placed on the
Commissions Website (www.apspsc.gov.in). These candidates are called upon to show cause
as to why their names shall not be deleted from the list of candidates qualified to write the
Group-I (Mains) exam within 7 days from the date of publication of this notice.

Whereas the Commission has issued Group-I Services Notification Nos. 15/2011 &
18/2011, dated: 28/11/2011 and conducted preliminary examination on 27/05/2012 and the list
of candidates qualified for the Main Examination was released vide ref 1st cited following the
ratio of 1:50 candidates for each post as envisaged in the G.O 3rd cited.
Whereas, the Commission has released the answer key for the Preliminary Examination
on 31/08/2012. Representations were received by the Commission complaining that the
answers to some of the questions were wrongly given in the answer key and therefore, the
Commission was requested to take appropriate remedial measures. Basing on the said
representations, the Commission got the Answer Key verified. Thereafter, the Commission
revised the Answer Key with the correct answers and applied the same to all candidates who
appeared for the preliminary examination. The Final Answer Key, duly incorporating the correct
answer choices was published on 02/09/2012. The cut-off mark as per this final answer key is
91 and you have not secured the cut-off marks.
Whereas as per the important point (i) of Annexure-II to the Group-I Services Notification
and as per the Government order 3rd cited, the number of candidates to be called for the
Written (Main) Examination would be 50 times to the number of vacancies.
And whereas the Commission has observed that you are falling beyond the prescribed
ratio of 1:50 due to low merit and in view of the same, you are hereby called up on to show
cause as to why your name should not be deleted from the list of candidates to be admitted for
the Main Examination.
You are, therefore, called upon to Show Cause as to why your name should not be
deleted from the list of candidates to be admitted for the Main Examination within (7) days from
today to the Commissions help-desk appschelpdesk@gmail.com failing which it would be
construed that you have no reply to offer and further action would be taken accordingly.
