The Democrats clearly are bankrupt of ideas. Tonight, late on the Labor Day holiday, they released their party platform for 2012. Platforms are where the national parties lay out their guiding philosophical and policy positions on the major issues of the day. They are meant to suggest where the party will move the country's policies if they are entrusted with the responsibility. This year's Democrat platform, however, is different. The collective voice of millions of Democrats across the country have been reduced to "whatever Obama says."
Barack Obama is the most cited term in the Democrat platform. Out of the 40 pages that make up the platform, Obama is cited by name on 38 of them. He is cited over 200 times throughout the document. The Democrat party's platform is really Obama's campaign manifesto. Let me put this in perspective. In 2008, the Democrat party platform mentioned Barack Obama 8 times. This year's GOP platform mentions Mitt Romney...ONCE. And, the mention is in the introduction, not the body of the platform. The Democrat party has long flirted with personality cults. (See FDR, JFK for example.) But, President Obama has ramped this up beyond all imagining. There is really nothing else for them to run on, but the myth of Obama that was created in 08. The myth was alive then, so there was no need to mention him on virtually every page of the platform. It is faded now, so they are trying to revive it and feel the need to inject him into absolutely every aspect of everything. As if more exposure will strengthen the brand.

Definitely a Narcissist. Take a look at his speeches. I was asked to give a summary of his State of the Union speech and after a few minutes of thought, I said "I-Me-My". The amount of personal pronouns Barry uses is countless. I veer away from "I-Me-My's" in business and it has proven to be a successful formula. His passion isn't our country, it's himself. Vote for "We" on November 6th.

In the event you are not being intentionally simplistic: These conventions are about selling a set of ideas. Ideas about what America is now compared to how the candidate wants America to look like in the future, and how that candidate is going to get America from what it is now to that America in the future. And, yes, whether or not the candidate is suitable to get the now America to that future vision of America. Obama is selling a future America as looking one way while he and his handlers are making America into a place resembling a third world country. Only those who either choose not to see or think, or those who are unable to see or think can overlook what is happening to this country.
