Berry quality is fair with heavy bruising and underripening noted. These conditions are expected to continue for another 3-4 weeks. Shorter shelf life is expected.

ONIONS BROCCOLI & CAULIFLOWER
Broccoli and Cauliflower supplies are steady with good quality. Demand is good for both commodities. Markets have come off with demand settling. Good supplies from Washington, Idaho and Oregon.

CELERY

Santa Maria, Salinas and Michigan are producing lighter supplies, strengthening markets slightly.

GREEN PEPPERS & SQUASH

Green Pepper markets are steady. Quality is good. Squash quality has been good. On the East coast, Georgia has begun.

CITRUS LEMONS

Good supplies and quality. Imports from Mexico and Chile are available.

RED PEPPERS

Red and Yellow Pepper markets are steady with good quality.

Markets are steady as quality improves.

Demand exceeds supply, pushing markets up especially on smaller size fruit. Regreening is still prevalent due to the heat in growing areas.

As a result of extreme heat, there is a seasonal shortage of Pineapple, mostly affecting larger size fruit. Occasional instances of greener shell has been noted as well but quality remains good. These conditions are expected to last another 2 weeks.

POTATOES

CUCUMBER & EGGPLANT

Good volumes and quality.

Cucumber markets are stable as production in Northern growing areas slow. Eggplant markets eased. Quality is good.

TOMATOES

GRAPES

Green and Red grape markets have eased. Quality is good. Black Grapes and Red Globes are also available.

Markets are active as national demand exceeds supply. East Coast growing regions will begin in a few weeks, providing relief.

Adverse weather conditions have caused extremely short supplies.

Lettuce markets have eased. Quality is good with occasional instances of insect activity, mildew and fringe burn.

MELON HONEYDEW & CANTALOUPE

Cantaloupe markets are steady. Due to last week's holiday pull, larger size fruit is tight. Honeydew markets are steady. Flavors are great.
