Stir Fry Recipe

By: Ankita Brahmachari ( Green House Yr. 7) Equipment Peeler Chef or Paring Knife Spoon ( For tasting and Measuring) Waste Bowl Cutting Board Wok (Frying Pan) Plate ( To serve your end product) Spatula ( Preferably Wooden) Bowls or a plate (To put your cut vegetables in) Gas Stove Grater

Served for 5-6 people 30-45 mins to cook

Ingredients (Adjust According to your Taste)


2 Cloves of Garlic Small Piece of Ginger Whole Carrot 2 Small Onions 2 tablespoons of Soya Sauce 2 tablespoons of Oyster Sauce Black Pepper sauce A Sprinkle Salt 1 tablespoon Oil Sakura Tofu One cup of Water 1 Potatoes 4 Baby corn Mushroom 1/4 Broccoli 1/3 Cabbage

Cutting and Peeling


Peeling

Wash All Vegetables properly before doing anything.

You will have to peel the potatoes and carrot using a peeler. Also take the ginger skin out using peeler or knife, and take of the top part of the onion and garlic of using your hand. Make sure after you are done peeling there is no more skin left, or else it will not taste so good.

Cutting Cut in your own way if you want)


Make sure you cut the vegetables thin and not fat since stir fry is quick and it takes longer to cook things that are cut thick. Carrot- Cut the Carrots in whole slices Onions- Mince the onions Tofu Do the dice cut for the Tofu Potatoes- cut the potatoes into long thin slices Baby Corn- Do the dice cut for the baby corn Broccoli- Cut them into smaller pieces Mushroom- Cut them in big slices but minced. Garlic- Mince the garlic Ginger- Grate the ginger Cabbage Chop it finely

Make sure you put in the soft vegetables first and then the hard vegetables. Be careful!!! While frying sparks may be spitting out.

Frying

Set the gas stove on high and put in some oil. After the oil is hot put in the ginger and garlic. Then stir for a minute or so. After that put in the onions. Then stir for a minute or so. After that put in the Carrots. Then stir for a minute or so. Then add in the potatoes Then stir for a few minutes. Add in some more oil as well. After that put in the Broccoli. Then stir for a minute or so and put in the Baby Corn. Then stir for a few minutes. Then add in the Mushroom and Cabbage. Then stir for 5-6 minutes so you can cook all the vegetables. After that add in the Tofu. Add stir for 5-6 minutes. Add in water so it does not get sticky and to dry. Then put in 2 tablespoons or more of oyster sauce and soya sauce. Then stir well so all of it can mix well. And also add in the Black Pepper sauce. Then sprinkle some salt. Then stir for a little longer. Add have a taste so you know how it taste like add if it needs anything else. Stir a little more and by then everything will probably be cooked and ready to serve. Put it on the plate, and decorate. And there you have your very own delicious stir fry.

Nilay Brahmachari (Dad) - Overall it was Fantastic! It was very tasty and I ate a lot of it. I think it was just right for me. Mom Brahmachari (Mum) - I liked the stir fry very much. It was very nicely & easily prepared. It tasted very nice. However I thought in my opinion that it should have had a bit more black pepper sauce. Rajdeep Brahmachari (Brother) - I think it was very good and a very good way for me to eat vegetables. I think everything was balanced, but in my opinion it needed a bit more black pepper sauce. Jothi(My maid) - I liked it very much. It was just right for me and I think it was very good and yummy. My Comment Ankita Brahmachari (Me) I liked it a lot also, and I ate a lot of it. However I thought that it needed to be a bit more cooked since the baby corn tasted a bit uncooked according to me. Comparing to the last time I did it at school and now it was perfect since it had exactly the taste I was hoping it would be.
