Diocesan Youth General Assembly Polomolok Gymnasium, Polomolok, South Cotabato September 15, 2012

The second general assembly of all youth leaders and young people were attended by the following parishes and organizations: Glan Alabel Malapatan Kiamba Maitum SMAP OLPGV Lagao Calumpang Fatima Polomolok Cannery 26 31 44 43 37 42 55 141 9 79 145 23 Tupi Marbel Tantangan Surallah Banga Sto. Nio T'boli 35 60 20 42 48 44 34

23 participants in total coming from the following organizations: SMC-NDMU, Columbian Squires, CYM-MSU, YFL and YFC. The program started with the introduction of the theme, a solemn video of The Lords Prayer, singing of the national anthem and presentation of event logo and objectives.

Followed by the welcome address given by Fr. Ricardo Pajarillo Jr., DYM Chaplain. Fr. Ronald Plomillo, Rector of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Seminary of Diocese of Marbel, gave the input focused on the theme: Rejoice in the Lord always. (Philippians 4:4) with emphasis on the incoming celebration of the church for the Year of Faith. He even cited the 3 contents of our faith: reminding the young people to continue learning in faith by reading the sacred scriptures, attending the Holy Mass, and joyfully living in constant prayer. After the input, Fr. Nono Huesca, Parish priest of Our Lady of Lourdes, Polomolok, gave an inspiring message with a song number, Dont forget to remember me. After wards, a video presentation entitled: What are your 5 loaves and 2 fishes? was played to lead the participants into sharing of their personal experiences both in plenary and group sessions. The following were the guide questions given: 1. Kumusta ang sitwasyon ng buhay ko ngayon? Ng aking pamilya? Pag-aaral? Trabaho? Mga kaibigan? Masaya ba ako sa aking sitwasyon? 2. Para sa akin, ano ang CYM? Ano ang maitutulong nito para sa pagpapabuti ng aking sitwasyon bilang kabataan sa panahon ngayon? 3. Ano ang kaya kong gawin para sa ikabubuti ng aking sitwasyon at sa ministriya na aking kinabibilangan? Participants were led into focused- group discussions by selected youth leaders as main facilitators and later were divided into small groups for their personal sharing on the questions given. After the group sharing and activity, break for lunch and preparation for the Holy mass. The Holy Mass was celebrated by Fr. Ramil Nerio, CFC Director, and Fr. Ricardo Pajarillo Jr., DYM Chaplain. During the homily, Fr. Ramil cited that the celebration of the Sorrowful Lady leads every young people into deeper understanding of their inner selves and self-longing. There are two types of sorrows: fake and real sorrows. Fake sorrows are superficial in nature and meaningless. Real sorrows are accompanied by sacrifice and later lead into joy and peace of mind, heart and soul. Presentation of selected parishes and awarding of certificates of participation followed later. Acknowledgements and a community dance, One way, culminated jovially the second historical general assembly which was focused on the message given by Pope Benedict XVI last March 15, 2012. Rejoice in the Lord Always. (Philippians 4:4) All youth leaders together with the EXECOM of the Diocesan Youth Ministry will now take its second step, The concept paper of the Youth Ministry in Diocese of Marbel.
