Tijs Michiel Verwest (January 17, 1969, Breda, Netherlands) 1 better known as Tisto, is a musician, DJ, remixer and producer of electronic dance music, Although it has used many aliases in the past, is more known for his work as DJ Tisto. In his latest production, however, has removed "DJ" of the labels and is now known simply as "Tisto", an alias which is a twist of his childhood nickname. In 1997 he founded the record with the help of Raul Trevino roe Black Hole Recordings with Arny Bink, where he released the Magik series and In Search Of Sunrise CD. In 1999 and 2000 he collaborated with Ferry Corsten to create Gouryella. In 2000, the remixed version of "Silence" to Delerium with Sarah McLachlan exposed him to more mainstream audiences. In 2001 he released his first solo album In My Memory which gave him several major thrusts launching his career. Just after releasing his second studio album Just Be in 2004, at the 2004 Olympics he performed live at the opening ceremony in Athens, becoming the first DJ to play live on stage at an Olympics. Subjects made especially for the Olympics were mixed together and released as the mix compilation The Parade Of The Athletes. He was made an Officer of the Order of Orange-Nassau in 2004 by Queen Beatrix. Was chosen as the official ambassador for the Dance4Life foundation in May 2006, and released the song "Dance4Life" with Maxi Jazz to help spread awareness about HIV / AIDS. In April 2007, Tisto released his radio show Tisto's Club Life on Radio 538 in the Netherlands and released his third studio album titled Elements of Life. The album reached number one on the Dutch album chart and the "Billboard Top Electronic Albums" in the U.S. and was nominated for a Grammy Award in 2008. Tisto released his fourth studio album called Kaleidoscope in October 2009. Tisto was named in 2002 as the best DJ in the world by the magazine DJmag, repeat title in 2003 and 2004. Since then it has become Tisto 2nd ranking except in 2006 when staying 3 , which repeated 2010 and 2011. Tisto In September 2009 she released a remix album Kaleidoscope. In April 2011, launched a new series of compilations called "Club Life: Volume One (Las Vegas)."
