Travis Nunes:

There is not much that I can really say that already hasn't been said and felt. There is a big plaque that reminds me of what I remember of Travis. YOU all know this plaque, and it simply says, LIVE LAUGH and LOVE.

I thank Tremain and Phil for the invitation to speak to you today and share my thoughts on behalf of Travis. So much love and friendship that has been shown to me of which I appreciate SO much.

I just want to take a moment and share what I have learned today and IN this moment with you all. There is no Greater healing agent that we have than love. And as I have listened to a recount of Travis's life, there is a WORD that seems to stick out about all others and that is simply love. I believe that a persons life is defined by the people they individually touch, and that touch is through love. Travis was truly and amazing gentlemen and lived with an example of love.

The Savior spoke of love. In fact it was some of his parting words. The last 7 words on the cross he said "Forgive them, for they knot not what they do." and at the last supper he said "Love one another, as I have loved you"

I'd like to take a moment and talk about that healing power of love. It has always intrigued me. We seem to talk so much about the redemptive power of love and the redemptive power of the atonement. There is not as much spoken of sin but more so an enabling power, that ENABLES us to HEAL. It enables us to be more than what we can be by ourselves, and from what I have heard spoken today, Travis allowed a personan individual to be more in his presence then that individual could have been alone. In the scriptures it reads about the Savior, "And he shall go forth, suffering pains and afflictions and temptations of every kind, and this that the word may be fulfilled that sayeth, he will take upon him, the pains and the sicknesses of his people. And, he will taken upon him death, that he may loose the bands of death which bind his people, and

he will take upon him their infirmities, that his bowls may be filled with mercy according to the flesh. That HE may know according to the flesh, how to succor his people." How to COME to them SWIFTLY, and heal. According to their infirmities.

The power of the Savior to heal, fills the heart with LOVE. The healing power of the Savior began to be shown in his very first miracle. The Marriage of Canan. There in canan as he came into the room, if you remember, and spent the time at the marriage, they ran out of WINE. And his mother came to him and said "what do we do!" We all understand that because at any kind of gathering we run out of food, we have a PROBLEM! What I would like to submit to you is that the savior taught us from his very first miracle what he was to do for each one of us, individually. He TOOK that which was insufficient and made it sufficient. And he took that which was unClean! and made it clean. If you understand the story, it was a lot of wine and it was a LOT of water. It was somewhere between 17 and 26 gallons of water. And a lot of it gone because it was from the pots they would use as they came in and cleansed their feet and themselves from the dirty roads and streets. and YET it became the best. Even the Mayor of the town came and said "what?" Why would you save the best for last?? All of these miracles from this point on FEEDING THE 5 THOUSAND, the woman who reached out with faith and touched the hem of his garment who had a problem with an issue of blood. A problem that had lasted 12 years. HE again, TOOK that which was insufficient and made it sufficient.

Today, our hearts are broken, but LOVE has been felt. Hearts will be healed through the Savior taking that which is insufficient within ourselves and making it sufficient. And taking that healing power and changing our lives FOREVER.

To you ALL, I say thank you. Thank you for the treat that we have in celebrating Travs life. You have healed us all today by your words. The words of love and the words that made us laugh. And the words that allow us to live on.

I leave this with you, in the name of our brother. Even Jesus Christ, Amen.
