CAMBIA YEARBOOK, 2008-2010:

Photographer for two years. o Take photos of any activity whether it be on a weekly basis and follow things in a chronological order or go to certain events and capture it all. Academic Section Editor for one year. o Create and design traditional style yearbook pages. Lead Designer for one year. o Create and design weekly style yearbook pages and advise other designers and help them with the designing process. o Worked closely with editor-in-chief for design decions throughout the yearbook. Attended Late Nights for editing all aspects of every page and have team bonding to help everyone stay consistant with their work on the yearbook staff. Awards: o Most Improved Photographer for the 2008-2009 yearbook staff. o Lettered in journalism twice. o Eanred Jounalism Department honor cords to wear during graduation. Attended four national journalism conventions (St. Louis, Phoenix, Washington, D.C. and Portland) that are held around the country. Competed against other students nationally. o Award: Honorable Mention in student life photography. Attended two state wide competitons for the state of Missouri at the University of Missouri campus. o Awards: Superior Award for academic page design. 2009 yearbook was named All Missouri. Superior Award for organization coverage. Superior Award for personality photography. Attended two regional competitions against students in the metropolitan Kansas City area. o Award: Secondary coverage designs.

Member from 2008 to 2010. Earned honor cords for graduation. Attended a three-day summer workshop with adviser and editor-in-chief and took a three-day class on new design techniques and how to incorporate new design styles into the following school years yearbook. o Awards: 2009 yearbook earned the Gallery of Excellence Honor. Great Participation award.

GIRL SCOUTS:

Fourteen years; leader for younger girls in many camp outs and other various activities such as friendship building and team building. Attended many leardership classes for these and have attended other classes to improve team building, friendship and working skills. Helped the community by donating many clothes, helping at homeless shelters, helping at an orphanage, etc. Achieved Bronze and Silver award standings.
