g. It has no boundaries; it created the human race. All that is beautiful and precious in life comes from God. In Crazy Love by Francis Chan, Francis talks about the importance of Gods love and what Christians can do to truly live it out. Some people might call it crazy, but Francis gives a truly detailed description of a real Christian. Throughout the book, Francis gives three major qualities that a true Christian will be showing: a desire to love, complete surrender to God, and an obsession. The first of the main points of the book is a desire to love. Francis Chan outlines the pure magnificence of God. He speaks of the power that Gods love contains. He then says to not worry, and to focus on God. Lukewarm Christians are not welcome in the kingdom of heaven. He says to praise God even when being weak. Francis then talks about God the Father. No father on Earth can even begin to compare to the fatherly powers of God. Francis main point, however, is that God wants us but doesnt have any need to want us. The second focus of Crazy Love is a complete surrender to God. Francis says that if one truly loves God, then they should be willing to give up anything to him. Francis looks at the story of Jesus in Matthew 19. The story in Matthew 20 teaches about the rich man that wanted to enter the kingdom of heaven, but was not willing to sell all of his possessions. This further supported the dangers of being a lukewarm Christian. Francis uses the example of leftovers to show what Christians often give to God. Francis challenges Christians to do things that require intervention from God. This is the only way to fully trust in Him. That is the definition of complete surrender to God: doing things that wouldnt be able to be done without Him otherwise.

The last and most important of these points is a total obsession with God. This is the biggest focus of Francis book. When a person is truly surrendered to God, it will be as if they are in love with Him. Their love should show to the world, and they will do things that would only be done out of true love. People who are obsessed with Jesus do not consider service a burden. Obsessed people take joy in loving god by loving his people (Matt. 13:44; John 15:8) (p. 139) Francis continues to talk about service after service that can be performed in Jesus name to spread His love. A person who is obsessed with God will never stop; they can never get enough of Him. God calls everybody to something more. Often times this call involves giving up of earthly possessions. Francis quotes from the Bible to show the relevance of a reward in heaven, one after this life. Whats so important to pull from this is that Christians should have an outward evidence of their love for Christ. A true Christian will be obsessed with the Crazy Love of God. All in all, Crazy Love gives an amazing description of the true Christian. I thought that Francis Chan did a wonderful job of writing this book. It was very opening to me; I never considered just how much I should be doing to take a stand for Christ. Not only is this, but the use of Bible verses to show the integrity of his message is wonderful. I would definitely recommend this book to any of my friends.
