Speakers Profile

Dr. Gunnar hln


M.D PhD, President European Society of Emergency Medicine, EuSEM. Medical counsellor for Emergency Care Stockholm County Head Department of Emergency Medicine, Karolinska University Hospital, Stockholm Sweden Dr Ohlen is a specialist in Orthopaedic surgery and has his Ph.D from the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden. During a year before attending the Karolinska Institute for his basic medical training he attended Washington and Lee University in Lexington Virginia studying sociology, psychology and medical ethics. During medical school he was involved in nutritional research and later during his orthopaedic training in the treatment of spinal and hip fractures. His PhD thesis was on the subject of scoliosis aetiology and treatment. He has since 15 years served as the Head of Department of Emergency Medicine and has during the last years also worked, extensively with the project for the new 600 bed University Hospital in Stockholm. His recent research has mainly focused on adverse drug reactions and frequent visitors to the Emergency Department.

Dr. Abdollah Salleh, Clinical IT-Coordinator, Selayang Hospital "Dr. Abdollah Salleh is currently the consultant surgeon of General Surgery department in Hospital Selayang, where he is also responsible as the Clinical IT-Coordinator in Hospital Selayang. He has worked as a medical doctor in the government sector since 1977. He was involved as an ICT application analyst since 1999 in Hospital Selayang. He is also members of various committees in Telehealth project and runs yearly course on data management for Record Officers and IT personnel in both 2008 and 2009 at the Ministry of Health. Currently, he is involved with RIS-PACS implementation."
