The purpose of the dissertation is to determine the requirements in establishing a business in New Zealand and India. Also to determine factors like the infrastructure, legal, ethical, technical and operational issues and challenges in setting up an overseas education and immigration services consultancy. The research will also analyse the education system of major countries of the world and also the demand of the services offered by the proposed business.

To find the feasibility of establish Compass overseas education and Immigration services business in India and New Zealand, also to understand the need of education and immigration advisor.

The main objective of research is to check the feasibility of establishing Compass education and Immigration services consultancy and to determine other operational issues related to business. an organization which provide services at two levels

Level 1: Education Services Promoting overseas education and providing assistance to student for the admission and student visa process.
Compass is an organisation which promotes overseas education to students who would like to study abroad in universities or other institutes. We help students in choosing a particular course of their area of interest and providing assistance for student visa process. Most of students will not be able to choose the right institute and right course, as they are not aware of the course information and prospects of it. This results in students struggling with studies or changing the course later. It is quite necessary for student to seek professional advice. As there is, lots of documentation required for filing a student visa application and it is very important because any missing or wrong document can increase the probability of visa rejection and shattering student dreams. Therefore, it is important to have someone who could handle these issues professionally by having proper checklist and all resources. As an education consultant, we would be able to provide students with correct information and provide assistance in visa process.

The second part of services offered by our proposed company will be providing immigration advice and assistance to immigrants in filing their other visa applications like temporary visa, permanent residency or work permit applications. We would provide immigration advice to the immigrants who would like to settle down in New Zealand. Policies by Immigration department are very complicated and their rules and policies are updated frequently. Every application will have different issues and requires different documentation to be attached in application. The process differs from case to case and standard protocol cannot be followed for the best outcome of the application. Migration is no doubt and life changing decision therefore it is very important for an applicant to keep the documents right and truthfully. For many people migrating may affect complete familys future. Many applicants do not make use of opportunity of seeking professional advice and end up submitting misleading or false documents to Immigration New Zealand, resulting in rejection of their application. According to the Migration Trends Statistics report, the increase in Indian immigration was due to Indian students in New Zealand applying for permanent residence.

Immigration from other popular immigrant source countries took a dip during the financial year. Immigrants from Britain decreased by 17 percent and immigrants from China decreased by 11 percent. South African migrants decreased by 37 percent and immigrants from the Philippines decreased by 25 percent.

As mentioned in figure 2, In the 2010/11 year, 6186 new students from India were granted visas compared to 5404 new students from China.

The significant growth in Indian students in New Zealand determines the increasing demand of New Zealand education and also the high need of consultants. There is a huge demand of

The number of Indian students is increasing every year. The above graph (Fig 3) shows that there is a huge increase in year 2006 /07. It is also understand that many Indian students are settling down in New Zealand even after completion of their studies. New Zealand provides great job opportunities and easy settlement process for skilled labors which attracts most of the students to New Zealand.

The economy of India is improving a lot, which make students to afford education in New Zealand. Students come to New Zealand with a dream to build their career. Lot of Indian students will be able to get good jobs in New Zealand, which is quite difficult to get in India. They make good income by working in New Zealand and get international exposure which is good for their profile. Why New Zealand? Very few good universities in India. As India is the most populated country with very few good universities. These universities do not have the places to accommodate all those who apply, especially in professional courses.
