Drive onEnables drivers to participate with news and current affairs on radio
project
On my way home, driving in the car and listening to a news or current affairs
programme on Radio 5 Live or Radio 4.
I feel like to participate in the interesting topic, but..... -driver Paul
Drive on
project
challenge
a crash is 4.3 times greater during cell phone use than non-use!
Noise: When driving the sound of the engine/road feedback/wind resistance increases.
Seatbelt limits mobility: Participation is limited to the drivers field of reach while strapped
into their seat.
Hands are occupied: Any interface needs to be designed to allow the driver to keep at least
one hand on the steering wheel at all times.
Eyes are occupied: Diverting the drivers eyes from the road for more than a few seconds has
serious safety implications.

providing an experience of additional media and connected
storytelling via devices, as safely as possible.
