This course covers the essential procedures and laws in place in managing an estate
INTRODUCTION
This course covers the essential procedures and laws in place in managing an estate under: Building Maintenance & Strata Management Act (BMSMA) SS 519:2006 Singapore Standard for Performance of Managing Agents for strata residential properties. It also provides an overview of the common building defects; techniques to carry out building diagnosis and investigation as well as an introduction to carry out life cycle assessment of buildings.

THE COURSE LEADERS


Mr Chan Kok Hong Managing Director, CKH Strata Management Pte Ltd Mr Chan heads CKH Property Consultants, a company that provides an international level of competency and service with the care and concern of a small local enterprise. Together with his expert knowledge of the Land Titles (Strata) Act, he is now recognised as one of the foremost professionals in the management of strata titled properties. In this capacity, he has been invited to present papers in property seminars all over South East Asia. He has also been asked to discuss issues on property defects and to voice his professional opinion at seminars and conferences. Mr Wong Chung Wan B. Eng (Civil Engineering) & MSc (Building Science), National University of Singapore Director, Building System & Diagnostics Pte Ltd Mr Wong has over 16 years of experience in performance evaluation and development of building and construction materials, building diagnostic and failure analysis, concrete failure investigation, structural and building investigation and quality assurance projects. He is the present Chairman of the Tiles Association (Singapore) and member for the SPRING Technical Committee for Architectural Works and Building Structures.

ADMINISTRATION DETAILS
Fee Payment Payment must be made when registering for a course to be assured of a training place. No invoice will be issued. Applicants must still meet course entry requirements, if any. Walk-in applicants will only be admitted on the basis of availability and full payment. Replacement, Withdrawal, Deferment and Programme Switching Replacement and Withdrawal 90% refund will be made if the notice of withdrawal in writing is received by BCA Academy at least 2 weeks before the course commencement date. If such notice is received by BCA Academy less than 2 weeks but more than 3 working days before the course commencement date, 75% refund will be made. No refund will be given if BCA Academy received the notice of withdrawal 3 working days or less before the course commencement date. Replacement of participants is allowed if the substitute meets all the entry requirements and the request is made at least 3 working days before the commencement of the course. Deferment and Programme Switching An administration fee of 10% of the course fee is chargeable if notice in writing is received by BCA Academy at least 2 weeks before the course commencement date. An administration fee of 25% of the course fee is chargeable if the notice is received by BCA Academy less than 2 weeks but more than 3 working days before the course commencement date. No deferment or programme switching is allowed if BCA Academy received the notice 3 working days or less before the commencement date of the course. Any refund arising from programme switching should not be more than 10% of the course fee. BCA Academy reserves the right to amend the course details, revise the course fee without prior notice, to cancel or postpone the course due to unforeseen circumstances.
