Augustine Church, Barberton, OH) (September 30, 2012)

Twenty-Sixth Sunday in Ordinary Time

Today Jesus tells us whoever gives a cup of water will be rewarded. Parents praise God each time they bring a glass of water to a child at night, or pour out Kool -Aid to parched sweaty five-year olds. These simple daily acts of parents are sacred actions. (Insert graphic 1106-0086) 362 Holy Hours were kept before the Blessed Sacrament this past week. What does the poor man do at the rich mans door, the sick man in the presence of his physician, the thirsty man at a limpid stream? What they do, I do before the Eucharistic God. I pray. I adore. I love. (St. Francis of Assisi) Do you realize that Jesus is there in the tabernacle expressly for you - for you alone? He burns with the desire to come into your heart.
