A university is an institution of higher education and research which grants academic degrees in a variety of subjects and provides both undergraduate education and postgraduate education. The word university is derived from the Latin universitas magistrorum et scholarium, which roughly means community of teachers and scholars. There are various colleges in this university one of them is: The International College for Girls (ICG) is a pioneer institution for women education, which was founded in the year 1995 as an affiliated college to the University of Rajasthan. The college was started with just 56 girls and seven members of staff; it became a Postgraduate College in 1999. Today, IIS stands tall with over 3500 students on roll, 208 faculty members and 46 support-staff. This is one of the college which has the potential for excellence.

This university offers courses which are approved by UGC and also accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).This University has secured a place in the list of the A category institutions reviewed by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India because of the quality of education and extracurricular activities which are provided here. It is stated one of the best university in the field of Arts, Science and Commerce streams. This university is dedicated to the female education only and has become a symbol of quality education and women empowerment grooming the young girls into World Ready Women.

FMS-The IIS University FMS is a School of Management Studies of the IIS University to provide quality education in management. FMS is offering MBA-Trimester scheme Dual-Specialization programme in the areas of Finance, Marketing, Human Resource, International Business and Information Technology. The Programme envisages grooming and building well grounded managers. The university has one of the most advanced computer department, other than that it has conference halls, and a fully computerized and large central library. There is an on-campus Cafeteria which provides students with mini meals, snacks, fresh juices, etc. An AMUL window parlor is also located inside the campus. The university provides day scholar with a very good transport facility which connect to every part of Jaipur. For the hostellers the university provides good quality vegetarian food, hygienic living conditions and a disciplined environment. A well-equipped Infirmary is situated in the center of the campus. The nursing superintendent provides and facilitates medical assistance to the students. The Physical Education Department provides games and sports facilities with specialization in Basketball, Volleyball, Table Tennis and Swimming. FM Radio 7 is a radio station of the students, for the students and by the students.
