Section 1: I have learned that when you have exponents, you multiply the digit by itself for however much the exponent is. A base is the number being multiplied by the exponent and the exponent is the number of times the base is multiplied by itself. the exponent tells you how many times the base is multiplied and the base tells you what the number is that you are going to be multiplying with. Section 2:

Start with 2 to the first power. As you increase the exponent, what operation is happening to the base? The operation is multiplication. Starting with the exponent of 4, as you decrease each exponent, what operation is happening to the base? The operation is division. Now, decrease the exponent from 1 to 0 and using the pattern you have discovered, determine the value of 2 to the 0 power and fill in the table. Continue with this pattern to fill out the rest of the table. Double check your table. Does the pattern work from 2^-4 to 2^4 as the exponent increases each time? Yes it does. Does the pattern work from 2^4 to 2^-4 as the exponent increases each time? It doubles either negatively or positively. Section 3:
