Please limit your response to each of the following questions to about 75 words but be specific.

1. Have you ever been convicted of a crime, been disciplined by a professional licensing board/organization or had an ethics violation filed against you? If so, please give the details. NO 2. Have you ever filed for bankruptcy, been delinquent on your taxes or other major accounts, or been sued personally or professionally? If so, please give the details. NO

3. Why should people vote for you? What separates you from your opponent(s)? I have the experience and knowledge to restore Oregon and the federal government back to Fiscal Responsibility, provide Jobs and improve the Economy. Provide for National Security for our country. And I want each and every young person from K to 12 grades to graduate from High School 4. What are the three most important issues you would address if elected? How? (75 words for each
issue)

A. I will strive diligently to return the management and care of our valuable and leading renewable resource-timberlands-to those who know best: Oregonians. B. Jobs and Economy. The overwhelming tax and regulation has caused an alarming flight of jobs and income out of our state. I will restore confidence in government so business will return to Oregon and provide a solid economic base for our citizens. C. I will fight to restore the principles of individual freedom and limited government, which means I will vote to reduce federal spending and seek to return to a balanced budget.

5. What do you see as other important issues? I believe that the future of Oregon and our nation rests right under our feet. The God given resources of renewable timber, rich farmlands, minerals, and fisheries should be utilized to provide us with all we need to live decent lives and legacy for our children 6. How would you describe your political style or for judicial candidates, your judicial temperament? A successful leader, achieves results, and highly respected. 7. If you are an incumbent, what have you achieved during your current term? If you are not an incumbent, how have you prepared yourself for this position? Our state and country is in trouble today: we are experiencing a lack of jobs, a huge national debt, hungry families, children missing the education they need for a decent quality of life, and numerous undefined wars. It appears to me that we lack the leadership needed in Washington DC to fix the nations and Oregons problems. The resumes of those who represent Oregon today lack business and real-world knowledge,

experience, and leadership. My life and business experience, working with a number of local, state, federal, and foreign governments gives me the ideal capability to address Oregons and our nations issues. For example, our greatest and most abundant natural resource is timber. Over the last twenty-plus years our elected officials have allowed special interest groups to control this valuable resource, hurting our states revenue and thwarting progress in rural areas that can least afford to lose this source of jobs, income, and resulting commerce. Congressman Denny Smith told me, Fred, you have more experience in the timber industry than all five Oregon Representatives and two U.S. senators combined. I understand all facets of businesswhat it takes to be a skilled worker, a wage earner, and what it is like to sign both sides of a paycheck. I have rescued troubled companies and saved jobs so that families could survive. Electing me to represent Oregons 5th Congressional district will provide Oregonians with an advocate who knows how to solve problems and how to get our state back to a solid financial footing. I have the knowledge, determination; skill and can-do attitude to put Oregonians back to work.

8. What is the largest budget you have handled, and in what capacity? $115,000 million, President and CEO.

9. What is the largest number of employees youve supervised, and in what capacity? 1,200, Group Manager over 6 manufacturing facilities.

10. Who is your role model for this office the person/people you would most like to emulate? Rep. Greg Walden, Rep. Denny Smith, Rep. Tom McClintock, Rep. Allen West.

11. Any skeletons in your closet or other potentially embarrassing information that you want to disclose before it comes up in the campaign? None

12. As a public official, your views on public issues are relevant to voters and potential constituents. Please indicate whether you support or oppose each of these statewide measures on the Nov. 6 ballot. (This question does not apply to judicial candidates.) Measure 77, catastrophic disaster No

Measure 78, separation of powers Measure 79, real estate transfer taxes Measure 80, marijuana legalization Measure 81, gillnetting ban Measure 82, allows private casinos Measure 83, authorizes Wood Village casino Measure 84, eliminates inheritance tax Measure 85 shifts corporate kicker to K-12 schools
