EMPLOYMENT HISTORY METRO-NORTH RAILROAD: May 2012 to Present Radio Maintainer. install, repair, troubleshoot and maintain the following systems: Communications equipment (base station, mobile, and handheld radios), Public Address Systems, Cellular Telephones, Fire and Burglar Alarm Systems. In addition perform periodic inspections according to Metro-North regulations and complete required paperwork. Achievements: Major Achievements: (1) Determined root cause to why Bogen HT125A PA Ampliers were in disrepair after numerous unsuccessful attempts by senior radio maintainers to make board and component level repairs, and (2) determined best technical work-around solution and practice to repair 100 obsolete Bombardier Trains' PA Power Amps. Major Contributor: Updated All Metro-North radio and communication system's transmit deviation to 2,4 kHz, on both Hudson and Harlem train lines and made in compliant with FCC regulations and Narrow Banding specications.

CON EDISON: Oct 1987 to Sept 2000 Electronic Technician. Worked in Ravenswood Power Plant, Generation Division: Repaired and installed both electronic control circuits and mechanical sub-system assemblies used in: monitoring levels, instrument and control, recordings, temperatures, pressures, voltages, positioning and control. Achievements: Repaired the above device or swapped out defective device, Installed new electronic controllers. Transferred to Electronic Communication Division after successfully applying and passing examination. Electronic Technician May 1990. Worked in Electronic Communications Division: Performed bench and vehicle radio repairs to both board and component level on all eet VHF and UHF trunking and point to point radios. Programmed and installed handheld portable & vehicle radios, and base-station radio systems. -Used Motorola service monitor for both bench and eld repair of radios; Performed maintenance on satellite base-station transmitters and receivers, checked power-out and signal strength. Adjusted and/or replaced BER detector, modulator and demodulator sections, power amplier, mixer and image rejection lter sections. -Swapped out and installed T1, T3, Sonet OC48 and OC3 units and replaced or programmed defective line cards. -Used OTDR and power meter to determine location of broken single mode ber cables or poor signal; made splicing repairs if ber is broken and installed ber bulk head. -Test equipments: Tektronix high impedance oscilloscope, Milli-volt power meter, attenuators, IF feedback, and digital high impedance frequency counter, Fire BERT (24 hr-stress test 5 in11 test patterns or QAS). Achievements: Mentored and supervised new technician in lab, workout locations, power plant and business ofces on procedures concerning: safety, making repairs or replacement of defective equipment, location of equipment and best practice guidelines.
